Silvercrest City
Dark clouds filled the sky above.
Heavy rain poured down on the city.
At this moment, demons were attacking!
Loud sirens echoed through the streets.
In just half a day, Silvercrest City was full of demon wolves.
Silvercrest was falling.
"Michael, you need to go to the safe zone. Don't worry about the rest; you can't handle it," said Zach, placing a firm hand on Michael's shoulder. His voice was serious.
Silvercrest was about to be lost.
Tens of thousands of people would die in this invasion.
Zach didn't know why the Demon Wolf Tribe suddenly attacked Silvercrest, or how they crossed Snowpeak Mountain to get here.
In short, they had lost the battle to protect the city—they were completely defeated.
"I understand, Chief Instructor," Michael said, clenching his teeth. "I will become stronger and avenge Silvercrest in the future!"
He was weak, powerless in this invasion.
Michael's eyes widened as he looked into the distance. There stood the Silver Trade Building—the tallest in Silvercrest.
A huge dark shape was there.
Its tail hung down from the top of the Silver Trade Building, almost halfway down!
Its large wings were partly open, partly hidden in the rain, and the other part covered more than ten floors of offices!
Its head was raised to the sky, letting out a roar that shook the whole city!
It was him—the cause of this demon attack!
The Skywing Wolf!
Michael promised to remember the look of this city-destroying demon. In the future, he would take its head to honor those who died in Silvercrest!
But as Michael stared, he suddenly froze.
His eyes met those of the Skywing Wolf.
Michael moved a little to the side and found that the Skywing Wolf's eyes followed him.
"Oh no, this is bad!" Michael exclaimed, his head buzzing. "Chief Instructor Zach, the Skywing Wolf is staring at me!"
"Don't be silly," Zach said, patting Michael's head. "The Skywing Wolf is staring at me. What can you do as a beginner mage?"
"Huh?" Michael blinked in surprise.
Zach looked at the Skywing Wolf and saw that it was indeed looking at them.
As Michael moved, its gaze moved too.
"This is strange..." Zach thought. Why is a commander-level Skywing Wolf staring at Michael, a beginner-level nobody? Am I not a threat?
"Is it because of the Earth Sacred Spring?" Zach wondered, shaking his head. That was unlikely.
Michael had already used the Earth Sacred Spring; there was no way the Skywing Wolf could sense it from so far away.
While Zach and Michael were confused, the Skywing Wolf actually rolled its eyes at them.
"What is that guy doing?" Zach exclaimed. "Mocking us? Since when did the Demon Wolf Tribe become so... expressive?"
