As Thomas turned back towards Leo, all he could see was a red mist charging towards him until eventually, it was within a meter. Not knowing what to do Thomas tried to back away but was quickly blocked off by the combined effort of Leo's summons.
Seeing that he finally had Thomas cornered Leo shot forward using his [Dash] and [Bite] Skills together to generate as much force as possible before biting into Thomas's arm. Feeling an intense pain originating from his arm Thomas looked down to see a humanoid wolf biting him with no thought of letting go. Thomas instantly let out a burst of frost that froze everything within a hundred meters. Grabbing Leo's frozen body, Thomas looked into his hateful eyes and said, "I guess you win; here's your reward." Thomas handed Leo's frozen hand a nail-sized red crystal before beginning to walk away." Oh, by the way, you will be leaving for the Niflheim guild headquarters in Dubai next month, so make sure you reach level 30 before then." With these final words, Thomas left the basement, returning to his office.
After ten minutes, Leo was finally able to regain movement in his body "What a monster", was all that Leo could say as he started to wonder how he could ever defeat someone like that. Taking his mind off these things, Leo decided to look at what kind of reward his father had left him.

Looking at the notification, Leo burst into laughter, wondering just how much that crazy old man had paid for such an item. Usually, adventurers have to awaken their Bloodline naturally, but through the use of this tiny stone, the user can immediately awaken their bloodline.
Thinking of how a person usually has the same bloodline as one of their parents or a mixture, Leo started to contemplate what his bloodline could be. "I can either get my father's snow god bloodline or my mother's which I don't know." Not wanting to prolong it any more Leo started to inject his mana into the stone. The stone began to shine a blood red before dissolving into his hands, causing the red light to run up Leo's veins until it eventually reached his heart. Suddenly, Leo felt a large pain in his chest before he collapsed to the floor, vomiting blood. Finally, after vomiting blood for what seemed like hours, Leo stood up and looked at the bloodline section in his status. Looking at his status, Leo couldn't help but be surprised because he had never heard of this bloodline. Instead of inheriting his father's snow god bloodline, Leo had obtained a bloodline called Vampire King, Wanting to know its effects Leo opened its description

At first, Leo couldn't help but be a bit underwhelmed looking at the effect of his bloodline when he compared it to others that he's heard about, such as his father's Bloodline, which allows for the user to create a giant snow field within a kilometre of the user freezing everything in its way. After a couple of minutes of thinking, his bloodline started to appeal to Leo more and more. Although it may not be as flashy as his father's, he felt it held far more potential, especially as he became stronger and began to fight more and more enemies.
After staying in the basement for a while longer practising, Leo walked towards his mother's room to tell her the good news, but to his surprise, someone was already inside. Wanting to see who it was, Leo activated his [Sneak] skill, melding into the shadows. "I guess you weren't completely useless after all. At least you managed to provide me with a satisfactory son before your final moments. Well, I guess this is goodbye." As Leo peered into the room what he saw sent him into a rage. Leo dashed into the room, causing Thomas, who was holding an ice blade along Leo's mother's neck, to become shocked, "What are you doing here?" Thomas asked as he slightly pulled his knife away. Not even bothering to answer, Leo appeared before his father, throwing a punch towards his head. Thomas easily dodged, throwing a counter straight to Leo's solar plexus, causing him to fall to the ground winded. "Don't do it!!" Leo yelled as he looked up meeting his father's eyes. "And why shouldn't I? She's just a nuisance." Thomas's said as he turned towards the unconscious body of Leo's Mother. "Please I promise I'll do whatever you say, just don't kill her." Thomas pleaded with tears in his eyes.
"Fine, I won't kill her, but in exchange, you have to listen to one of my commands," Thomas stated as a plan started to take form In his head. Hearing his father's words Leo instantly felt a sense of relief as he slowly got up to look at his mother. "Here's my command. Kill her!!" These words rang in Leo's ears as he turned towards his father in shock. "B, but you said" Leo started to break down trying whatever he could to save his mother. "I said I wouldn't kill her, I never said anything about you. If you don't, I will, and I'll make sure it's painful." Hearing the words of his father, he couldn't help but laugh at himself, thinking that his father would ever listen to him. Thomas held out the knife towards Leo for him to take before asking "What will you do? Will you watch as I slowly kill your mother? Or will you finish her quickly so she doesn't feel any pain?
