As Leo looked at the knife in his father's hand, he began to fall into despair, debating what he should do.
Leo slowly reached out grabbing the knife from his father. As he stared at the ice knife Leo suddenly moved swinging the knife aiming for Thomas's neck with a huge amount of blood-lust. Seeing this Thomas simply stepped to the left with an amused expression."You won't be able to touch me, so make your decision." Hearing his father's emotionless voice, Leo started to accept his fate, slowly falling into despair. For the next ten minutes, Leo stood there in silence as Leo stared at the floor while holding the knife. Leo turned towards his mother's body with a look of determination. Slowly walking up to the almost lifeless body that belongs to his mother Leo began to remember back to what it was like when he first arrived in this world.
In the beginning, Leo refused to form any emotional bonds with anyone in this world because somewhere in his heart he believed all of this wasn't real and that one day he would be able to return to his previous life. Leo's past life wasn't that special; he was a middle-aged man who worked in marketing, getting paid a horrible wage. But for some reason, Leo enjoyed his job, and once he arrived in this world, he wanted to return. But over the years, with his mother's love, Leo began to fall in love with this world and the prospect of having superhuman abilities. That was until when Leo was three his mother suddenly collapsed whilst holding Leo. After this incident, Leo's mother was moved to her current room where everyone eventually began to forget about her. Over the next year, from when his mother first collapsed, she started to wake up less and less until she just never woke up.
Thinking of all that the woman in front of him had done. Leo couldn't help but say, "I'm sorry," before he slowly placed the knife on his mother's neck and quickly pulled it back, almost instantly killing her.

Leo let out a small laugh as he realised that he had never learnt his mother's name which he now knew was Crystal. Leo slowly began to turn back towards his father who by now had a huge smile. Looking at this monster of a man in front of him Leo couldn't help but feel a sense of disgust. Not wanting to say anything to Thomas in fear that he would attack again Leo slowly exited his mother's room or what used to be his mother's room. Leo began to walk towards his room but for some reason, he found himself in front of two large doors. As Leo looked up a flood of emotion finally hit him as he slowly opened the doors in front of him. Once the doors were completely all Leo could see was a sea of books seemingly never-ending. This library was his mother's favourite place in the whole mansion. She could often be found here along with her son, reading him a book. It was through these stories based on the heroes of the past that Leo was able to gain some sort of semblance around the world that he is now in and eventually come to acceptance as his mother kept on reading by his side.
Walking up to the chair where his mother used to sit, Leo grabbed a book from the nearby shelf and sat down, beginning to read. After a couple of minutes of reading, Leo was able to finish the whole 160-page book; this is because of his boosted intelligence and wisdom stats, which make it possible for him to read faster and do other things that require the brain better. Seeing how quickly he finished, Leo got up grabbed a couple more books and once again sat down, bringing back memories from a couple of years ago.
After reading for 2 more hours, Leo finally began to let his emotions get the better of him. He slowly curled up into a ball atop his mother's reading chair as he kept on repeating the same phrase over and over again "I'm sorry". Eventually, Leo fell asleep in that same chair with a small smile on his face.
Waking up Leo walked back to his room to get ready for what was to come. Once ready Leo departed towards the carriage that was waiting for him outside. After a long carriage ride, Leo arrived outside of a small house that couldn't have more than two rooms. Leo walked up to the door and gave it a small knock waiting for someone to respond.
After a couple of seconds, an elderly woman opened the door whilst yelling out to another person in the house. "Who are you" the lady asked whilst looking at the young child in front of her. "Miss I am your grandson. I'm sorry to say I've got some bad news" Hearing the words of the boy in front of her, the old lady fell into disbelief before saying. "How can you be my grandson when my only child died 11 years ago." Hearing this lady's words, Leo was surprised, but he didn't give up because he knew that they were his mother's parents.
