Safe House
The engines roared loudly as the tinted SUVs sped down the long-abandoned road, kicking up a cloud of dust in the moonlight. Marina was seated rigidly in the back seat, she had a tough time with breathing properly, her fingers dug into her lap, as a way of finding comfort.
Close to her was Aiden, his grip was tight on the car's steering wheel, his was blank, like he was in deep thought, but he didn't say a word all through the ride. His mouth was locked locked in silence.
Jayden and Amira were in the second vehicle, following them closely.
Bard was seated in the passenger seat still holding his gun in his hand, seriously looking at the dark road ahead. Everyone was silent, no one spoke.
The weight of the previous event that happened was still fresh in their minds
But Marina couldn't hold it in anymore. She had to speak up since everyone pretended or were just too dumb to speak.
