*GUNSHOT!
The bullet shattered the window, sending debris of glass flying across the room.
Aiden barely had time to react before he lunged forward, grabbing Marina and pushed her down behind a wooden table. Jayden dove for cover, rolling behind a broken chair, while Amira hit the ground, cursing non-stop.
*Another gunshot
**THUD.
The bullet sank into the wooden wall just behind them.
Marina's breathing was ragged as she pressed her hands over her ears, her heart was now hammering against her ribs.
"We have to get the hell out of here!" Jayden yelled.
Aiden looked toward the window, checking the trees outside, but he couldn't see the sniper nor where the bullets came from—but he knew the sniper didn't come alone.
"This isn't just one guy," Aiden muttered. "He's got backup."
A third shot barely missed Jayden's head, embedding itself in the chair he hid behind.
They were put in a tight spot.
