Aiden's Office – Wellington Enterprises Headquarters
"You are not going to let Marina face Amira alone, are you?" Jayden asked Aiden pacing helplessly in Aiden's sleek office. The tiled floors reflected the sunlight streaming through the glass walls.
Aiden just watched Jayden for a while and leaned back in his executive chair, "You think I like it?, but Marina insists. She knows Amira better than anyone, and she's convinced it's the only way to get her to talk."
Jayden stopped pacing and placed his hands on his hips. "Amira isn't just some jealous ex, Aiden. She's dangerous, manipulative, and loyal to Maxwell. This isn't a good idea."
"I know, Jayden," Aiden said coolly. "And that is why I'm assigning my best men to cover her. Amira won't get a chance to pull anything."
Jayden stared at him in disbelief. "I just hope you know what you're doing."
