Outside the RestaurantÂ
"Take cover!" Aiden shouted, his voice cutting through the mayhem as bullets ricocheted off nearby cars and shattered windows. He pulled Marina behind a parked vehicle, shielding her from the barrage of gunfire.
Jayden bent down behind another car, his gun drawn. "Where the hell did they come from?"
"Maxwell's backup," Aiden replied in anger, his eyes moving quickly as he scanned the uproar. He watched Victor slip into the black SUV that had just unloaded the attackers.
"Victor's getting away!" Marina shouted, peeking over the car's hood.
"Not again, we must not let it happen," Aiden muttered, firing a shot at the SUV's tires. The vehicle swerved but somehow managed to speed off into the night.
Jayden fired back at the armed men advancing on their position. "We're pinned down! Marcus, we need extraction right now!"
