"Welcome back!"
Seeing the young man at the entrance, the Fairy Tail wizards raised their glasses in unison. Clearly, this young man wasn't a small figure in the guild.
The bucktoothed wizard, who had earlier mistaken George for Happy, laughed heartily:
"Natsu, I heard you made quite a commotion again in Hargeon!"
However, before he could finish, a solid kick landed on his face, sending him flying through several tables and knocking over many wizards along the way.
"The intel about the fire dragon you gave me was fake!"
The young man roared furiously, his face alight with anger.
'How fast! Isn't this guy supposed to be a fire mage? Why is his physical strength so absurd?'
Standing on a round stool at the bar, George showed a hint of confusion in his eyes.
The young man's name was Natsu, and he had a magic cat with him. He should be the same "Fire Dragon" introduced in the magic magazine—the strongest flame wizard in Fairy Tail, known for his fire magic.
Yet, the speed at which Natsu charged from the door to the bucktoothed wizard left an afterimage, and the force behind that kick was immense.
These feats far surpassed the melee dark mage George had slain earlier.
"As expected of a renowned wizard from Fairy Tail. It seems they are indeed on a different level than ordinary wizards."
Instead of fear, George felt a surge of excitement.
If just a "Fire Dragon" like Natsu had such strength, then the S-class wizards above him must be even stronger, and the Saint Wizards must be the pinnacle of power.
George wasn't afraid of the world's wizards being too powerful—he only feared they were too weak.
The stronger this world's wizards were, the higher his potential could be.
If the strongest wizard here wasn't even stronger than him, then learning this world's magic would likely lead to mediocrity.
"How would I know the intel was fake? I only passed along what I heard with good intentions! Natsu, you want a fight? Fine, I'm game!"
The bucktoothed wizard pulled his head out of the wooden floor, furiously charging at Natsu.
Their scuffle soon dragged other wizards into the fray, with angry shouts turning the guild into a chaotic melee.
However, George noticed that none of them were fighting seriously; they were merely brawling with their physical strength.
Even so, he was a bit taken aback.
Wizards like Natsu, Gray, and Loke aside, even the lesser-known ones had impressive physical strength when not using magic.
For normal people, getting smashed into walls or embedded into floors would result in serious injuries or death. Yet, these wizards merely cursed, got up, and rejoined the brawl.
The fighting gradually escalated.
Among them, the blonde girl who had come with Natsu initially tried to mediate the chaos in a panic. But when Gray, after being sneak-attacked by Natsu, ended up pantless and awkwardly asked her for underwear, she finally snapped and joined the fray.
"No wonder they're called the most troublesome wizard guild!"
George surveyed the nearly ruined guild hall, now a battlefield with magic circles gradually lighting up as wizards prepared to test their magical prowess.
He couldn't help but recall the consistent description of Fairy Tail in various magazines.
"Stop it right now, you idiots! Are you trying to destroy the guild?"
A sudden roar came from the second floor. George looked up to see a frail old man, less than a meter tall, leaping down from the balcony.
As he descended, his body rapidly expanded, transforming into a giant over seven or eight meters tall.
Seeing the giant appear, the wizards immediately stopped and scattered to the corners in fear. Only Natsu stood with his hands on his hips, laughing boldly:
"Hahaha! Look how scared you all are! I win this match!"
But his laughter was short-lived. The next moment, the giant stomped on him, nearly knocking him unconscious.
George gazed at the giant, whose head almost reached the ceiling, his muscular form overwhelming. Even George's cat-like face showed signs of astonishment.
"So this is Fairy Tail's guild master, one of the Ten Saint Wizards, Makarov, and his Giant Magic!"
In the past two days of gathering intel, George hadn't neglected learning about Fairy Tail's strongest wizard, who was also one of the kingdom's strongest—Makarov.
Based on his research, Makarov mastered numerous magic types, but two were most famous: Giant Magic and Light Magic.
Giant Magic allowed the user to enlarge parts of their body or their entire body. This enlargement wasn't just for show—it amplified both strength and defense.
In George's understanding, it was akin to a magical version of "Heavenly Titan Form." Moreover, there was no known limit. The stronger one's magic power and mastery, the larger they could grow.
Legends spoke of ancient wizards who used Giant Magic to lift mountains over a kilometer tall. Whether true or not, it underscored the magic's potency.
At the very least, it was clear that Giant Magic was formidable. Otherwise, Makarov wouldn't be one of the Ten Saint Wizards, and Fairy Tail's wizards wouldn't flee so quickly.
George had spent the past days pondering magic choices.
The world's magic types were vast, and achieving mastery in any one required immense effort. To quickly improve his strength, he decided to focus on one—at most, two.
But which magic should he choose?
His knowledge of this world's magic came from books, offering only a fragmented understanding. He couldn't discern which magic was most powerful or promising.
Thus, he came up with a simple solution: mimic the strongest wizards.
The Ten Saint Wizards were the pinnacle of power in this world, and Fairy Tail's guild master was among them.
The choice was obvious: he'd learn the same magic as Fairy Tail's guild master, making it easier to seek guidance later.
Besides, George found Giant Magic personally appealing—not because he liked close combat. As a refined mage, he'd avoid melee if possible.
George valued safety. Close combat was far riskier than casting spells from a distance.
But he understood that a wizard's greatest weakness was their physical body. Even though wizards were more resilient than ordinary people, critical hits could still be fatal.
Learning Giant Magic could mitigate this weakness significantly.
When enemies braved his magic to reach him, thinking they could defeat him with fists, he'd transform into a giant and teach them true despair.
Most importantly, Giant Magic's self-enhancing nature made it a trump card in situations like facing magic-immune or anti-magic foes. Physical power could break through such predicaments.
