Tsunade was buried under a mountain of documents, her desk overwhelmed by scrolls and reports. The weight of her responsibilities bore down heavily, but it was a routine she had grown accustomed to. However, her apparent calm was abruptly interrupted by a series of scratches at the door.
"Come in," she called, barely lifting her eyes from her work.
The door opened, and Pakkun entered, jumping directly onto her desk. His ears were perked, and his expression was grave. Tsunade frowned. The ninja dog's presence rarely brought good news.
"Hokage-sama, I bring an urgent message from Kakashi."
Tsunade froze, her attention now fully on him. "What is it?"
Pakkun took a deep breath before answering. "Kakashi's team was attacked on their way to Suna. Naruto has been kidnapped by an unknown enemy. Kakashi sent me to alert you."
Tsunade put down her scroll and straightened up, her eyes widening in shock. She pinched the bridge of her nose, thinking quickly.
"Naruto... kidnapped..." The words echoed heavily in her mind. She knew that the Akatsuki coveted Naruto for the Nine-Tails sealed within him. Losing Naruto was not an option.
After a few moments of thought, she said, "Very well. I'll mobilize a team immediately. Gai's team is already in the field... I could order them to focus on finding Naruto, but that would jeopardize Gaara's mission."
She shook her head, rejecting the idea. Naruto would never have wanted Gaara's rescue mission to be abandoned for his sake.
Suddenly, an idea formed in her mind. "Shizune!" she called.
Shizune quickly entered, holding another stack of documents. "Yes, Hokage-sama?"
"Summon Shikamaru's team immediately. I need them here, now."
Shizune nodded and disappeared without hesitation.
A few minutes later, Shikamaru, Ino, and Chōji were gathered in Tsunade's office. They all looked intrigued and slightly worried about the sudden summons.
"We were about to head out on a mission," Shikamaru said, clearly annoyed. "What's going on, Hokage-sama?"
Tsunade took a deep breath before addressing them. "A critical situation has arisen. Naruto has been kidnapped by an unknown enemy while traveling to Suna with Kakashi and Sakura. I need your team to head out immediately to locate him."
A heavy silence filled the room. Shikamaru's eyes widened slightly, Chōji looked incredulous, but it was Ino who reacted most strongly.
"Naruto... kidnapped?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Tsunade nodded. "Yes. We don't know exactly who is behind this, but we must act quickly. Kakashi's team is continuing toward Suna to rescue Gaara. Your role will be to find Naruto and bring him back safely."
Ino lowered her head, clenching her fists. Memories of Naruto, always smiling and full of energy, flooded her mind. The thought of him being in danger deeply unsettled her.
Shikamaru, despite his usual nonchalant demeanor, quickly analyzed the situation. "This is going to be a tough mission. The enemy must be strong to have neutralized Kakashi and the others. But if it's a mission to save Naruto, we can't refuse."
"Exactly," Tsunade said with a nod. "You leave immediately. Shizune will provide you with all the necessary details."
Ino finally raised her head, a determined glint in her eyes. "We won't let Naruto fall into their hands."
After a quick briefing and some preparations, Shikamaru's team left the village, tension heavy in the air.
Ino walked at the front, her face set in a determined expression. Chōji tried to break the silence. "Ino, are you okay?"
She turned slightly toward him but didn't answer immediately. "I'm fine. I'm just thinking about Naruto... He's always been there for us, always ready to fight, even when things seemed impossible. We can't let him down."
Shikamaru sighed. "Yeah, it's definitely a drag, but you're right. Naruto is the type to give his all for his friends. This time, it's our turn to do the same for him."
The trio quickened their pace, the weight of the mission pressing heavily on their shoulders. For Ino, this wasn't just a mission. It was personal.
"Hang in there, Naruto. We're coming."

The silence in the clearing where Kakashi, Sakura, and Temari had gathered was oppressive. The recent events had shaken all of them, but the tension peaked when Sakura broke the silence, her face stoic but her voice trembling with guilt:
"We can't just leave things like this. Naruto was kidnapped, and we're acting as if nothing happened? It's not fair!"
Temari crossed her arms, her serious gaze falling on the young kunoichi. "And what do you propose? Abandon Gaara to go after him? Gaara is also in mortal danger."
"I know!" Sakura snapped. "But... Naruto..." She lowered her eyes, her voice breaking slightly. "He's always been there for us, for me... And I've never given him anything in return."
Temari frowned but remained silent, clearly seeing the weight of guilt eating away at Sakura. Kakashi, who had been observing the escalating argument, raised a hand to interrupt them.
"Sakura," he said calmly, drawing her attention. "Do you know where Naruto is?"
She stared at him for a moment, thrown off by the question. Hesitant, she opened her mouth, but no words came out. Finally, she looked away.
"I thought so," Kakashi sighed. "That's why I'm asking you to calm down. I've already informed the Hokage about the situation. She'll decide the next steps."
Sakura bit her lip, struggling with her emotions. Temari, on the other hand, looked deeply troubled. Her mind was torn between two impossible choices. Gaara or Naruto? Her brother or her brother's friend?
Kakashi, seeing her dilemma, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Temari, return to Suna. Gaara needs you. We'll take care of Naruto."
She looked up at him, still hesitant. "And if you can't find him?"
"We'll find him," Kakashi said with a firmness that surprised her.
After a few moments of reflection, she nodded. "Thank you... I trust you." She saluted them with a nod and resumed her journey to Suna, her face marked by worry but also determination.
A few minutes later, as Kakashi and Sakura waited in tense silence, Pakkun reappeared, his small figure landing on a nearby branch.
"A message from the Hokage," he announced. "She says you must continue your mission. She'll handle Naruto."
Kakashi nodded, as if he had expected this response. He looked at Sakura, whose face still betrayed conflicting emotions.
"You heard her, Sakura," he said gently. "Let's focus on Gaara. Let's trust the Hokage with Naruto."
Despite the pain she felt, Sakura nodded, clenching her fists. They had to move forward.
