Her trembling hands became sweaty as she run off holding her husband's hand .
"Vera,Vera " he called to her. But she didn't react and kept walking off .
He stopped pulling her to him instead. She paused and looked back ,blinking like she was waking up from a trace.
Tears in her lost eyes ,she bit down on her lower lip letting go of his hand.
"Am sorry I shouldn't have done that " she cried.
"Hi it's alright " his arms pulled her into his embrace.
Her tears fell, "am sorry my emotions took over and I ...I..".
"Shh it's okay ,you did good . Thank you for protecting me " he said to her.
She sobbed her trembling body finding comfort in his arms.

"Are you okay ?" Alec asked Vera.
They where driving back home .
She nodded .
"When did you meet with mother ?" He asked.
"I called her when I couldn't get a hold of you " she said.
"Am sorry I lost my phone and haven't replaced it " he explained.
"Glad your okay " she breathed.
Her eyes not swaying from the window. It was getting dark outside.
She seemed lost in thought . Vera felt her body move forward with force when the car suddenly stopped.
"Vera can you look at me ?" He said .
She turned to him.
"Are you okay ?"
She blinked not saying a word.
"I know nothing has been going our way since we met and it's must be overwhelming but I promise to make it better as long as you give me a chance " he suggested.
Her eyes filled with tears again .
"I thought it was me " she cried.
"You ? What do you mean ?" he questioned.
"You asked me to move in but then disappeared . So I thought you finally realised how messed up my life was and decided to leave me there alone until the contract ended " she cried.
"Huh?!"
"Your phone was off, you didn't come home or even call me . You where injured so I was more worried about something happening to you again . I thought you had finally reverted your decision ..and that " her tears blindly her .
His hand reached her face and his fingers wiped her tears away.
"And it hurt so much here cause even with these few days with you , I had grown to like and trust you " she cried.
"Am sorry " he voiced.
"You didn't seem to care at all, not even a call to tell me if you where okay ...didn't you think I would worry" her sobs got louder.
He took off his seat belt leaning to her side , she rested her head on his shoulder .
"Am sorry it's all my fault for not thinking about your feeling . Please stop crying " he tapped her back gently.
But Vera went on crying , "I can't the tears just keep coming " she yelled. .
"Okay ,it's alright go on "
"But I don't want to ...do you want me to keep crying. My eyes will be swollen tomorrow ". She sniffed pulling away from him.
He chuckled nodding.
"Your right " he said staring down at her.
...Her eyes still filled with tears and sadness ,her cheeks had turned crimson and her lips...
He blinked trying to think of something else as his eyes looked away.
"Are my eyes swollen ?" She asked.
He looked back slightly nodding ,she frowned starting to cry again.
"What will I do then, I have to go to work tomorrow . Everyone will know I was crying " she sobbed.
Alec shifted his body towards her , Vera flinched back when he blocked her view looking down at her.
His hand grabbed her neck yanking her head to him . When she bumped into his ,he leaned in aiming for her lips .
Vera's crying to sealed off by his kiss . Her body had tensed up but slowly relaxed as he kissed her.
Her body reacted with her hand holding onto his shoulder while she kissed him back.
