"Vera...Vera wake up"

She opened her eyes to see Eva standing next to her.

"Mmm, what time is it ?"she yawned sitting up. A frown coming upon her face when the hangover hit her.

"Time to get up and leave" whispered Eva.

"Ahh...to where . Did that bastard finalky call" she felt her head move in pain.

"No but we need to leave and head home. Why dont you look around" said Eva.

Verana breathed as she slowly looked around realizing it wasnt her room .

"Where am I ?" She blinked.

Eva bent closer and whispered,"that is exactly what i want to know and....." her eyes looked down at Verana who followed her sight to see herself naked under the covers.

She pulled them closer to her body tightly ," why am I naked" she yelled.

"Yeah why are you naked?"repeated Eva.

Last night...

Verena, you need to give up . I don't think his interested in helping you " Eva began.

But you know I can't , his my only hope right now " she sighed.

Eva gazed at her watch and frowned.

"This is the fifth time his standing you up . Why don't we try something else " Eva added.

"What ,Eva?....he promised to help ".

"I think your stressed and have turned blind from all of it. His been doing this every time , claiming to be on his way then not appearing ". Eva let out.

Verena knew she was right , Dalton kept doing the same thing . He would say he was coming then never appear and then claim he was busy or something. But she had found out he was actually out with other women .

But she didn't care ,if he was willing to help then she was ready to wait until he did appear.

"Am sorry to say but how can you accept to marry such a cheap piece of a man . His nothing but a spoilt rich brat " Eva complained.

She chuckled .

"All my father's friends refused to help acting like they didn't know us. Mom has been bedridden since his death and the debts still need to be paid or the company will be announced bankrupt"

Eva breathed sitting next to her friend and took her hand.

"I can ask some friends and my husband to help too,so you don't marry that bastard ".

She smiled.

"Thanks but I can't accept it . This is my family's problem and I will fix it. The contract is valid for one year then am free again"

"Huh?...do you think marriage is something like a walk in the park ?" asked her friend.

"No but he promised to give me space ".

"Stop being a fool and listen to me , such a man will never do that ". Eva disagreed.

Verena leaned back and closed her eyes ,it was already late and the man had not appeared.

"Lets go out for some drinks " she suddenly said .

"Ahhh..."Eva noticed the formed tears in her friends eyes and nodded .

They left the court and rushed off to get drunk.
