Chapter 212 - Chapter 212

At the entrance of the Knights of Favonius Headquarters in Mondstadt, Lumine held a slightly open-mouthed Klee in her arms and turned to the stunned Mona.

"So, what do you think? Is Klee the heir you mentioned?"

Mona, still in disbelief, inspected Klee from head to toe. "How is this possible? It really is this little rascal, Klee?!"

"No way, I need to divine again!"

A cerulean water screen unfolded in front of Mona as she placed her hands on it. Using the growing knowledge she had about the heir, she performed another divination.

Golden light shimmered on the water screen, and Mona widened her eyes, scrutinizing the information appearing above it.

"It really is Klee!!!"

"Hmm?" Klee tilted her head, looking curiously at the "fish-loving big sister" she had met in Liyue Harbor. "Big sister, are you looking for Klee for something?"

"I'm not called fish-loving big sister," Mona reflexively retorted. She sighed, looking at Klee. "My name is Astrologist Mona Megistus, which means 'The Great Astrologist Mona.' Just call me Mona."

"Okay." Klee nodded obediently. "So, Sister Mona, are you here for something?" Her eyes lit up. "Did you finish the fish I gave you last time and want more?"

"No!" Mona denied immediately, summoning a cerulean divination array in her hand. "My master sent me to Mondstadt to find the heir to her friend's knowledge and retrieve the '50-Year Promise.'"

"Klee, do you know someone named Alice? She's my master's friend."

"Sister Mona's master is Mommy's friend?!" Klee's eyes widened, her little face filled with excitement. "Klee knows about this! Mommy gave it to Klee before she went far away. She said a friend would come to take it one day."

"Wait here, Sister Mona. Klee will get it for you."

Klee squatted down and quickly opened her backpack, rummaging through its contents. She pulled out a book and shook her head. "Not this one." Then, she took out a diary, again shaking her head. "Not this one either." Finally, she brought out a bouncing bomb, still shaking her head.

Crossing her arms, Klee looked at Mona nervously watching her, then clenched her fists and turned her backpack upside down.

A clattering sound echoed at the Knights' entrance, drawing Lisa, Jean, and Kaeya over to see what was happening. The ground was soon littered with bouncing bombs, toys, and other random items from Klee's bag.

Kaeya patted Lumine's shoulder, looking at the scene. "What's going on here? And who's this astrologist?"

Lumine picked up one of Klee's bouncing bombs and turned to Kaeya. "This is Mona from Liyue. She came to Mondstadt with me. Her master is a friend of Klee's mom, and she's here to retrieve something that Alice left with Klee."

"Alice's friend, huh?" Lisa observed the celestial designs on Mona's outfit and smiled knowingly. "Could it be her?"

"Huh?" Mona turned to Lisa, holding a small model airplane that had fallen from Klee's bag. "You know my stingy old master?"

Lisa chuckled, squinting at Mona. "It seems I guessed correctly. Though, I've only heard of her in passing." Turning to Jean, Lisa added, "It looks like little Klee's lessons need some reinforcement."

Meanwhile, Klee's backpack now formed a small mountain of bouncing bombs and an assortment of toys bought by Hiroshi. Scratching her head, Klee looked confused. "That's strange. It's still not here."

She reached out into the air, summoning a golden-red spatial pocket. Sticking her head inside, her little legs dangled outside, kicking in the air.

"Hmm? It's not here either," Klee's muffled voice came from the space. With a bounce, she pulled her head back out. For a fleeting moment, a shining bomb resembling a miniature sun was visible inside the disappearing pocket.

Klee crouched again, folding her arms and tilting her head, trying hard to recall where she might have hidden her mom's treasure.

"Oh!" Her eyes sparkled as she clapped her hands. "I remember! Because it's a treasure Mommy gave me, I buried it with my other treasures in Windrise so Barbatos could watch over it."

Jumping to her feet, Klee turned to Mona. "Sister Mona, wait here. I'll go get it for you."

Klee raised her hand and looked at Jean. "Master Jean, Klee requests flying permission!"

Jean sighed but nodded. "Go and come back quickly."

"Yes!"

Saluting Jean, Klee turned to her companions, Bebe and Yuan. "Yuan, Bebe, let's go dig up the treasure!"

"Grrr~" Yuan and Bebe lazily rose from the ground, moving to Klee's side. Klee hopped onto Yuan's back, waved at everyone, and pointed toward Windrise.

"Let's go!"

With a soft growl, Yuan and Bebe leapt into the air, transforming into streaks of black and white light as they headed for Windrise.

"They can fly?" Kaeya exclaimed in disbelief.

"Don't underestimate Yuan and Bebe," Lisa said with a smile. "Hiroshi told me they're descendants of legendary war mounts in his original world."

"Huh?" Kaeya muttered, thinking of the lazy-looking creatures he often saw lounging around.

Mona, meanwhile, reached for the books Klee had left behind. Turning to Jean, she asked, "May I look through these?"

Jean glanced at the books and nodded. "Of course."

Excited, Mona opened one of the books but soon frowned. "What? It's just a continental travel guide?"

Picking up a nearby journal, Mona opened it and began reading. The familiar handwriting drew her curiosity as she delved into its contents.
