Freya's POV
When I got to Kade's camp, it was oddly quiet, but I wasn't looking for tranquillity. As I strode into the training fields, my heart pounded with confusion and rage. With his back to me, Kade stood close to a small group of fighters. The sight of him made my fists clench. What was the duration of his attack planning? Was his thirst for power all that ever mattered to him?
"Kade!" Sharp and demanding, my voice reverberated around the area.
Slowly, a cunning smile crept upon his face as he turned. He said, "Freya," with ease, as though we were old friends getting together for tea. "To whom do I owe this distinction?"
A few feet from him, I stopped and gave him an unblinking gaze. "Avoid playing tricks on me. I am aware that you intend to assault Whiteclaw.
