Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

---

Yang Shung stood still, watching the negative emotion value rise steadily on his screen. It had been a long day, and all his hard work was about to pay off. The accumulated energy felt like it was about to burst out.

"It's enough for 10 consecutive draws!" Yang Shung muttered to himself. His fingers twitched with anticipation. His heart raced as he looked at the increasing value.

"System! Ten consecutive draws now!" Yang Shung shouted in his mind.

[Ten consecutive draws starting!] The familiar voice of the system echoed in his mind.

The air seemed to grow thick with energy as the system's lottery sequence began. The sound of the wheels spinning filled Yang Shung's mind, each click seeming to echo louder than the last. He felt the anticipation building inside him.

[Congratulations to the host for winning... the "Silver Shadow Cloak." A high-grade item that boosts the user's stealth abilities.]

"Not bad," Yang Shung said, nodding as he imagined the possibilities of such an item. His body was already getting used to these kinds of rewards, but the excitement was never truly gone. His eyes glinted with excitement.

[Second draw: "Dragon's Blood Elixir." A potion that grants a temporary increase in strength, stamina, and regeneration.]

Yang Shung grinned. A strength booster? That would be incredibly useful.

[Third draw: "Soul Mirror." A mirror capable of showing one's true potential, but only for a brief period.]

"Interesting," Yang Shung whispered. The Soul Mirror could help him gain insight into his own growth. He knew it was a rare item, something not easily found.

[Fourth draw: "Silver-Tier Combat Skills Manual." A manual that allows the user to instantly learn basic combat techniques suited for high-speed battles.]

"Yes!" Yang Shung's fists clenched in excitement. A combat skills manual would be invaluable. His mind raced as he thought about how much stronger this would make him.

[Fifth draw: "Phoenix Feather." A rare item that can be used to revive the user once in case of death.]

"Phoenix Feather, huh?" Yang Shung's voice was full of awe. This item was nearly priceless. It could be a lifesaver if things went south in a fight.

[Sixth draw: "Thunderstrike Gauntlets." Gauntlets that channel the power of lightning, enabling the user to unleash devastating electrical attacks.]

"Thunderstrike Gauntlets... amazing," Yang Shung muttered. He could already feel the surge of power coursing through his body as he imagined wielding them.

[Seventh draw: "Mystic Pearl." A gemstone that can enhance the user's spiritual energy.]

Yang Shung's breath caught. Spiritual energy was crucial for cultivation. The Mystic Pearl would give him a significant edge. His hands trembled as he imagined its power.

[Eighth draw: "Stormcaller Boots." Boots that allow the user to move with incredible speed and agility, leaving behind a trail of wind.]

"Stormcaller Boots... This will make my mobility much better," Yang Shung said, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. With these, he would be able to move like lightning itself.

[Ninth draw: "Wings of the Fallen Angel." A pair of ethereal wings that grant the ability to fly.]

Yang Shung's eyes widened. "Wings of the Fallen Angel... So this is it." He could already feel the sensation of soaring through the skies. The wings would change everything, giving him the ultimate mobility advantage.

[Tenth draw: "Celestial Dragon Scale Armor." A set of armor forged from the scales of a celestial dragon. Extremely durable and resistant to elemental damage.]

Yang Shung let out a low whistle. This was the big one. Celestial Dragon Scale Armor—an item of legendary status. It would make him nearly invulnerable to any attack.

The last draw completed, and the system's voice filled his mind once again.

[Congratulations, host! The ten consecutive draws have concluded. All items have been added to your inventory.]

Yang Shung closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as the items appeared in his inventory. He could feel the weight of the items, each one a valuable tool that would enhance his power.

He smiled, feeling a surge of confidence. With these items, he was ready for whatever challenge came next.

Suddenly, his phone vibrated in his pocket, snapping him out of his thoughts. He pulled it out and saw a message from his sister, Yang Jing.

"Brother, come home early tonight! I made your favorite!" the message read.

Yang Shung chuckled. His sister was always so caring. He quickly typed a reply.

"I'll be home soon, Jing. Just need to handle a few things."

With that, Yang Shung turned and started walking toward the exit of the alley where he had been practicing. His thoughts were already on the battle ahead. He had trained for months, and now, he had everything he needed to take on whatever danger the city could throw at him.

As he walked, he felt the weight of his new items on him. Each one was a step closer to his goal. His mind buzzed with thoughts of what he could do next. With the Soul Mirror, he could push his limits further. With the Dragon's Blood Elixir, he could endure longer in a fight. The Thunderstrike Gauntlets and Wings of the Fallen Angel would make him unstoppable.

He was unstoppable.

A sudden gust of wind blew past him, and Yang Shung's senses immediately sharpened. He spun around, sensing the presence of someone nearby.

A figure stepped out from the shadows. It was a man, dressed in black with an air of menace about him. His eyes gleamed with an unnatural intensity.

"So, you're Yang Shung?" the man said, his voice low and threatening. "I've been looking for you."

Yang Shung's eyes narrowed, but his body remained calm. "And why is that?"

The man smiled, revealing a row of sharp teeth. "Because you have something I want."

Yang Shung's hand instinctively reached for the Thunderstrike Gauntlets, but the man raised his hand, and a bolt of lightning shot toward him.

"Lightning user, huh?" Yang Shung muttered. "You've made a mistake."

Before the lightning could hit, Yang Shung dashed to the side, his speed enhanced by the Stormcaller Boots. In a flash, he was behind the man, delivering a powerful kick to his back.

The man stumbled forward but quickly recovered, spinning around with a fierce glare. "Impressive. But not enough."

Yang Shung smiled. "Let's see about that."

He activated the Thunderstrike Gauntlets, and a bolt of lightning shot from his fist, striking the man directly. The force of the hit knocked the man back several meters, but he quickly got up, anger flashing in his eyes.

"You're tougher than I thought," the man snarled.

Yang Shung grinned. "I haven't even started yet."

He then summoned the Wings of the Fallen Angel, and with a powerful beat, he soared into the air, dodging another bolt of lightning. The man looked up in disbelief, but Yang Shung was already descending, ready to strike.

With a roar, he unleashed a flurry of strikes, his fists and feet glowing with the power of his new items. The man tried to block, but each hit landed with precision, sending shockwaves through the air.

"You can't escape now," Yang Shung said, his voice cold and determined.

The man's eyes widened in fear as Yang Shung closed in for the final strike. "Wait!" he shouted. "I... I don't want to fight you!"

Yang Shung paused mid-air, his fists raised. "Then get out of my way."

The man hesitated, and with one last glance at Yang Shung, he turned and fled into the darkness.

Yang Shung landed gracefully, his wings folding behind him. He took a deep breath, looking at the spot where the man had vanished. It was over for now.

But he knew this was just the beginning. The path ahead would be filled with even greater challenges.

For now, though, it was time to return home. He smiled, thinking of his sister, and flew off into the night.
