**"Swish! Swish!"**
Two sharp sounds cut through the air.
Shi Lei watched as two horned rabbits near him fell, struck by flying knives.
He turned to see Yang Shung sprinting toward him. Relief filled his face.
The remaining horned rabbit looked around nervously, sensing danger. But Yang Shung gave it no chance to react.
He dashed forward, delivering a powerful kick to the rabbit's abdomen, sending it flying.
Before it hit the ground, Yang Shung grabbed its neck mid-air and twisted sharply. The rabbit went limp instantly.
"Whoa!" Shi Lei gasped. "That was insane!"
Yang Shung exhaled, tossing the rabbit aside.
---
Shi Lei sniffed the air. "Wait, what's that smell?"
Yang Shung pointed at the rabbit still twitching on the ground. "It's burning. Your electricity is still active."
Shi Lei panicked and quickly stopped his power, leaving the rabbit slightly charred.
---
Shi Lei was carried off to the school doctor, but Yang Shung didn't get a moment's rest.
A crowd of classmates surrounded him.
"Brother Shung! Teach me how to throw a knife like that!"
"How'd you break its neck so easily?!"
"Can you help me later if I get stuck?"
Yang Shung sighed, waving them off. "One at a time. Calm down."
He spent the next half hour answering questions and helping those who needed it.
Finally, he managed to escape the crowd. Stretching, he checked his equipment.
His hand guards, fitted with triangular protrusions and external blades, were intact. His throwing knives, cleaned of blood, slid back into his arm guards. His chain armor and protective boots were unscathed.
"Good. Still plenty of energy left," he muttered.
Looking toward the forest's deeper regions, Yang Shung nodded. "Let's find something more challenging."
---
After walking a few hundred meters, he spotted a clearing ahead.
Dozens of horned rabbits grazed on twilight grass. One sat atop a large rock, basking in the sunlight like a ruler.
Yang Shung hid behind a tree.
"Fifty or sixty rabbits... Too many. And with a group this size, the Rabbit King might be nearby."
The Rabbit King wasn't just faster and stronger—it was a cunning leader, capable of coordinating its horde into a deadly force.
Yang Shung decided to retreat.
As he turned, a single horned rabbit hopped near his hiding spot. Their eyes locked.
"Don't scream," Yang Shung whispered. "Just die quietly."
He hurled a knife, piercing the rabbit instantly.
**"Squeak!!!"**
The dying rabbit's cry echoed across the clearing.
The horde froze, then turned toward Yang Shung.
"Of course," he muttered.
Dozens of rabbits charged, a wave of fur and horns.
Yang Shung bolted, sprinting back toward the grassy area where his class had gathered.
---
Seven rabbits appeared ahead, blocking his path.
Hearing their comrades' cries, they formed a crude formation, ready to intercept.
Yang Shung grimaced. "Are you kidding me? Who taught these rabbits tactics?"
As he closed the distance, he feinted left, then cut sharply to the right. Most of the rabbits missed him, but one leapt directly at his chest.
Yang Shung caught it mid-air, twisting its neck and hurling it aside.
The impact threw him off balance, slamming him into a nearby tree.
Groaning, he used his arms to absorb the blow, but the collision slowed him.
The main horde closed in, surrounding him.
Yang Shung glanced around, counting. Over fifty rabbits, with no clear escape route.
Leaning against the tree, he drew his knives and smirked.
"Fine. Let's see how many of you I can take down."
