On the way back to the Republic Intelligence Agency building, the two Jedi tried to question Daimon to uncover what had happened. They were frustrated with him, knowing he had disrupted months of painstaking work that had allowed them to track Venfar's movements and prevent more than four invasions of Mid-Rim worlds.

Now, one of their most valuable sources of intelligence, Venfar, was dead. Sitting across from Daimon were Jedi Knight Sheowen and Zavgael. Sheowen was the first to break the tense silence, staring at Daimon as he spoke. "Why? Why did you have to kill Venfar?" His glare was sharp and unyielding.

"We were on the brink of a major breakthrough, and you decided to take the law into your own hands," Zavgael muttered, his voice filled with frustration.

Daimon, however, remained silent, ignoring their questions for the rest of the journey. He could see that these two Jedi were probably Knights who were promoted due to the current circumstances that the Republic and Jedi Order are in. If not because of that, then Knights such as these would have never passed their trials or maybe the war has caused them to become like this.

Whichever one it was didn't matter to him, he was done with the Order and planned to not intervene besides dealing with a few of the Dark Jedi that he was able to find.

Arriving at the Republic Intelligence Agency headquarters, Daimon and Cortana were taken to separate place, with Cortana being taken to where Droids go to get processed while Daimon was taken to a private room.

As he was sitting in this private room, the two Jedi were running his face through the Republic database since he wouldn't give them his name. And what they found out was shocking.

"He's a former Jedi Master?" Zavgael muttered. The fact that he was a former Jedi Master made things a lot more interesting but still kept them on their toes. While it didn't say whether or not he was working with the Dark Jedi and their faction, they could guess from his previous actions that he probably wasn't.

As they were digging through the data, a high-ranking officer walked in with a coffee mug in his hand. The two Jedi promptly greeted him before he asked who the person was they brought in.

"It's some former Jedi Master by the name of Daimon. He killed the Dark Jedi and the other Criminals that were meeting with him." Zavgael explained.

The officer hearing the name nearly spit out his coffee upon hearing a name he hadn't heard in a while. "Are you positive his name is Daimon?" he asked unsure if his ears were playing tricks on him.

"Yeah, we have his facial scan right here," Sheowen pulled up the image of Daimon they had which was from about 40 or so years ago.

Seeing the picture, the officer confirmed his suspicions. "Take to wherever he's being held at, right now." The two Jedi looked at each other before leading him to the room where Daimon was being held.

Meanwhile in the room, Daimon had his eyes closed as he was meditating until whoever he needed to talk to arrived. A few minutes later, he sensed three people approaching the room he was in, in addition to the two guards standing outside his door.

Two of them he could feel were the two Jedi, while the third one was another person whom he hadn't seen in decades. As the door opened and their eyes met, a smirk appeared on Daimon's face.

"I see your still as wild as ever Daimon," said the officer as he took a seat across from Daimon.

"And I see you're still as short as ever Burran," Daimon replied with a chuckle. Burran Ieginning, a high-ranking officer in the Republic Intelligence Agency, was one of officers who worked under his old friend Aria back when she was alive. She had unfortunately died 5 years prior to him leaving the order due to a number of health conditions.

Despite his smaller stature, Burran was a highly capable individual as he had proven before. What was shocking was to see how high of a rank he was and that he was still working for the Republic Intelligence Agency.

"Your sense of humor is still the same, so I guess you aren't on the enemy side." voice Burran. He never doubted it for a second, but it was always reassuring to get confirmation, nonetheless.

"And I see that leaving the Order did not lighten your need to cause trouble for others." He had seen his fair share of cleaning up after Daimon's mistakes.

At that Daimon jokingly replied, "Yeah, I don't know what it is, the criminals of Coruscant just tend to somehow find their way at the end of my lightsaber. I think there is some higher power at work here."

"I think it's more like the criminals of Coruscant tend to find themselves on the wrong end of your sense of justice," Burran retorted.

"But I don't want to waste too much of your time, So I will let you go under one condition." he stated.

"And what might that be, Burran?" Daimon asked.

"I want you to provide some valuable intel on the Dark Jedi faction movements and such. I know you know more than you're willing to share, so I won't pry any further but only make this simple request from one friend to another." There was no point in wasting time trying to pry information if there was a much better way to get the information.

"Since we're old friends… I guess I can help with that under the condition that the Republic will stay out of my when I go after those Dark Jedi." While he may not be at the top of the Intelligence agency, he still had the rank to pull some strings.

"Because it's you, I'm sure I can work something out," Burran replied. He knew this wouldn't be easy to negotiate at the higher levels, but he also was aware that they needed every bit of advantage against these Dark Jedi. And making an enemy of Daimon wasn't in their best interests.

"I expect you to keep true to your word, Daimon. If I hear any news about you causing disruptions or unnecessary violence, our agreement ends," Burran added with a serious look, making sure Daimon understood the gravity of his words.

Daimon smirked, glad that they reached some common ground. "I think we have a deal then. But remember… It's those Dark Jedi fellows and criminals who usually cause the trouble."

And so, it was settled. Daimon walked out of the room not as a prisoner, but as an ally of the Republic Intelligence Agency. Burran ordered his release and had the guards take him to gather his belongings and release Cortana. The two Jedi Knights were left alone in the room with Burran, their expressions reflecting a mix of disbelief and annoyance.

Zavgael finally broke the silence. "Sir, with all due respect… Is it really safe to trust this man? He did just kill our only lead," Burran shook his head. "I know what you're thinking, Zavgael. 'He's a loose cannon', 'he's dangerous', 'he's arrogant'. And you're not wrong."

"But" he continued, leaning back in his chair, "Daimon is incredibly powerful and the most intuitive Force user I've ever met. He has an uncanny knack for making trouble... but also for unraveling it."

Sheowen crossed his arms skeptically. "But his loyalty lies only with himself," he countered, his voice laced with doubt.

"Perhaps," Burran conceded, "but self-interest can be a powerful motivator. Daimon will act to ensure his own survival, and if that aligns with helping us... well."

While two of them didn't much like where this was going. They trusted Burran to make the right choices and the fact that Daimon was former Jedi also played a factor in how they judged him.

Having been returned his lightsaber alongside Cortana and her lightsaber. Daimon left the building and returned to his ship and left the planet. He had come to do what he needed to do, now all he needed to do was wait for his next chance at attacking and killing one of the main 12 Dark Jedi.

And a few months later, his chance came to fruition. The Dark Jedi known as Zerath Draal, was located due to a series of intelligence activities carried out by the Droids under Cortana who were created for this singular purpose.

The information was then presented to Daimon, who immediately set course for the planet Cadinth located in the Outer Rim. The planet had fallen to the Dark Jedi faction around a decade ago and had become a small outpost for the Dark Jedi. In addition to being a small outpost, the planet also had a small fleet of 20 ships escorting Zerath Draal.

In response to this, Daimon brought with him 40 of his own ships that had already gone through their re-construction into the new designs which were created. There were only 70 of these ships completed at the moment with the rest still planned to be completed over the years.

Arriving in the system, Daimon's fleet of ships emerged from hyperspace, forming a battle line facing towards the enemy fleet.

The sudden emergence of Daimon's fleet caught the enemy off guard. Zerath Draal's small fleet scrambled to respond, with fighters launching from hangars and ships shifting into defensive positions. The Dark Jedi outpost on Cadinth sent out a distress signal, but Daimon knew reinforcements would take time to arrive, and he intended to strike decisively before they could.

Daimon stood on the bridge of his flagship, the Aegis, a heavily armed Titan Class-Battlecruiser designed to overpower the ships of this era. Cortana, fully integrated into the fleet's command systems, appeared as a hologram beside him.

"Enemy fleet composition analyzed," Cortana reported. "Twenty ships, including two heavy cruisers, six frigates, and a mix of corvettes and support vessels. Ground defenses on Cadinth are just some soldiers, should be easy enough to take him out."

"Alright, let's see how we do in our first fleet battle," Daimon was eager to test some of his abilities, the main one being his battle meditation skill.
