Chapter 32 - The Prelude to the War

10 years later - 6978 BBY

Daimon - Age: 72

For 10 years, Daimon focused on training the current members of the Balance Keepers, raising the 10 Progenitors who were technically his sons alongside the 10,000 Force Scions. Unlike the 10 million cloned Gen'Dai soldiers, the Progenitors and Force Scions were created through the Force.

Their bodies, minds, and every atom of their existence were created by Daimon using the Cosmic and Living Force, making them different from the clones who were created from his genetic pool.

But no matter how they were created, he valued each and every one of them. He made it known to them that despite how they were created, he loved them all equally. This made each one of them, eternally loyal to Daimon whom most saw as not only their creator, but a father figure as well.

And whenever Cortana found the locations of any of the remaining Dark Jedi, Daimon went out of his way to go and take care of them. Now only 6 of the original 12 remained living, giving the Republic and Jedi Order a significant advantage in the war.

Because of this, a rumor started spreading about some tall buff person in golden armor running around and killing the Dark Jedi and their disciples by the dozens. The golden figure became a symbol of doom for the Dark Jedi and their faction.

During one of his encounters, the Dark Jedi tried to uncover his identity by using two of their core members to lure him into an ambush and overwhelm him with their best mercenaries. However, they had no idea how powerful the person they were going against was.

As a result, everybody sent to ambush Daimon, died. From then on, the golden figure had become feared throughout the galaxy as some unknown powerful figure that hunts Dark Jedi. Regular civilians were curious about the figure, while criminals feared crossing paths with him. His name, not known to the masses, became a whispered legend all over the Republic. Some called him the 'Golden Reaper', others, 'The Unseen'.

For the last 6 Dark Jedi, Daimon had largely ignored them because he had other priorities at the moment. The 10 Progenitors alongside the Force Scions had reached 20 years of age, each one already powerful Force users.

The first of the Progenitors was Kael Thoryn who was also given the nickname 'The Unyielding Bastion'. He was raised to be the defender of Daimon's future Imperium and the protector of his divine will. Kael believes in Daimon's ability to bring upon a new age for the Gen'Dai and the galaxy as a whole and has taken an oath to become the shield of the Imperium.

Second was Syra Veyra or 'The Blade of Balance'. She was raised to be the Enforcer of justice and the executioner of Damion's decrees. Syra will serve as Daimon's arbiter, ensuring that loyalty and balance are maintained throughout the Imperium. She had the unique ability of Force Precision, allowing her to channel the Force into her Lightsaber, enabling strikes that bypass defenses and sever connections to the Force temporarily.

Third was Orin Volkar or 'The Architect of Unity'. He was raised to use the Force as a tool to build harmony and structure. True power lay in order and cooperation, two things which he whole heartly knew Daimon would bring. He would serve as the Imperium's Architect, reshaping planets to sustain colonies or serve as military strongholds. He had the unique ability to Force Terraform planets similar to Daimon.

Fourth was Liraen Vos or 'The Stormcaller'. She was raised to be the Supreme Strategist of the Imperium, leading the vast armies into war alongside her brothers and sisters. Having the position of Supreme Strategist, she would be in charge of the Imperium's military. She had the unique ability to manipulate atmospheric conditions, summoning destructive storms to ravage enemy forces while empowering her own troops with a surge of Force energy.

Daimon made sure that this position would in no way cause problems with the other Progenitors. They each had their strengths and weaknesses, and only by working together could they be unbeatable. This was drilled into them from birth, and they have grown to understand this. No matter how stronger one of them were than the other, they were all family.

Fifth was Varyn Dreyl or 'The Silent Warden'. He was raised to be the keeper of secrets, one who would be in charge of the Imperium's intelligence and covert operations. He had the unique ability called Phantom Veil which allowed him to cloak himself and others in the Force, rendering them undetectable by physical or Force-based senses. Varyn unlike his brothers or sisters is a meticulous planner who prefers precision over brute force. But this didn't mean that he would shy away from using brute force when it was needed.

Sixth was Telys Kaor or 'The Forge Master'. He was raised to be the Architect of the empire's weapons, starships, and other technological advancements. His intelligence was on par with that of Cortana's, but given enough time, Cortana would surpass him because how she learned and evolved. Telys sees each creation as an extension of Daimon's vision, developing new blasters and melee weapons using his Force infusion ability, creating Force infused weapons.

Seventh was Raelos Vyn or 'The Blade of Harmony'. Like his brother, Liraen, he was raised to be a Strategist. But unlike his brother, he had the unique ability to create dual energy swords infused with the perfect balance of Light and Dark energy. This ability was known as Force Blade Manifestation and would create a weapon that is better than the average Lightsaber. While Liraen would be in charge of all military forces, Raelos would specifically be in charge of ground forces.

Eighth was Nyssa Revar or 'The Weaver of Minds'. She was raised to be a Diplomat and manipulator. Her abilities allowed her to alter memories, beliefs, and personalities within others or she could amplify the emotions within others to inspire loyalty and resolve conflicts. She would be placed as the Imperium's negotiator with other empires and races in the future.

Ninth was Darek Thalor or 'The Habringer of Renewal'. He was raised to be a Healer and Restorer, possessing the ability to revitalize ecosystems, accelerate healing on a mass scale, or sacrifice his personal energy to heal or resurrect others. Unlike healing, resurrection required one's own life force in addition to the Force due to the complexity of simply bringing someone back to life. He would be placed in charge of all medical things, healing those who are mortally injured, and keeping the population overall healthy. Any other Force user who showed promise in healing would be placed under his command.

Lastly was Malis Kaevor or 'The Void Shephard'. He was raised as a philosopher, spiritual guide, and zealot, seeking balance within the empire's moral and spiritual compass. He had the unique ability of Harmonic Resonance, allowing him to align the Force in his surroundings, soothing conflict and restoring balance to chaotic situations, even in the heat of battle. He was placed as head of the Order of the Balance Keepers. He would oversee everything, create new rules and oversee the training and appointment of each member.

Each Progenitor was raised to capitalize on their strengths which they would use to advance the Imperium into the future.

Under each Progenitor was a legion of Force Scions. Each legion numbered 1,000 Force Scions who were all created to have the same abilities and characteristics of their respective Progenitors.

The armor for Legions split between two variants of Exo-suits.

(Vanguard Exo-Suit)

(Sentinel Exo-Suit)

These two variants were the Vanguard Exo-Suit and the Sentinel Exo-Suit. The Vanguard Exo-Suits, worn by the offensive legions, were designed for attack and speed, engineered to be light yet extremely durable. The armor boasted a streamlined silhouette, optimal for quick maneuvers during combat. It was also fully compatible with a variety of armaments, offering flexibility in battles.

The Sentinel Exo-Suits, on the other hand, were designed for defensive legions. They were more robust and resilient than their Vanguard counterparts, built to withstand heavy assaults from enemies. The suits provided optimum protection with reinforced armor plating. These suits were designed to make the wearer stand as a behemoth against all forces.

Both Exo-suit variants were designed with stealth tech and integrated focus crystals enabling force enhancement. The suits also had built-in life support systems, field medic kits for immediate first aid and advanced interface for smooth and easy communication between legions. Telys Kaor was the one responsible for creating the Exo-suits, using his understanding of machinery and metal manipulation ability.

He combined his talents to create these marvels of technical prowess that were nothing short of revolutionary.

For the regular soldiers, he created another Exo-suit which was not as powerful as the ones created for the Force scions, but they were still strong, nonetheless. They were made to be mass-producible and easily adaptable to varying physical conditions. Recognizing the need for both offense and defense, the standard Exo-suits, known as the Aegis Exo-suits, incorporated features from both Vanguard and Sentinel suits, providing durability, agility, and decent protection to the wearer.

(Aegis Exo-Suit)

Designed to keep the soldiers safe from a wide variety of threats, each Exo-suit was equipped with strong, lightweight armor plating that could resist energy blasts and most forms of physical attacks. The suits also had advanced life support systems, emergency field medic kits similar to their elite counterparts, and a powerful interface for communication within squads and command units.

The Order of the Balance Keepers had reached 4,000 members with 2,500 of these members being integrated into the vast 10 million manned army that Daimon had. The rest were either children still training, or those working in various administrative and logistical capacities.

———

With everything ready, the time had finally come for Daimon to retake Veldari and form his own Imperium. Standing within the vast gathering area, Daimon was standing before the 10k Force Scions and the Progenitors. Already on their transport, the 10 million soldiers watched on the holographic screens as it would take too long to address millions of soldiers and then have them all transported to their respective ships.

(Gathered Force Scions)

Standing next to him was Sera, who had mastered Daimon's lessons, allowing her to increase her lifespan through the Force.

"Today," Daimon began, "We begin our campaign to take back our homeworld from the Darkness which surrounds it. Those who oppose us will be met with our might. We carry within us the Force, a power that is woven into the very fabric of the universe. Let it guide your blades, lend patience to your minds, and strength to your hearts." Everybody was quiet, tentatively listening to Daimon's speech.

"For decades, Veldari has been under the control of a Dark entity, corrupting the people and the planet. Today, we reclaim it, not just for ourselves, but for the promise of a brighter future for all." The 10,000 Force Scions fervently listened to his words.

He paused, taking a look at all of the loyal soldiers that he created. "This campaign will not be without its trials. There will be sacrifices made; but remember, every step we take forward, every life given for this cause, forges a path towards a future where all can live free from the fear of Darkness."

"And remember," he announced, "Should you ever fall in this battle, know that risking your lives is not a heedless sacrifice but the most honorable act one can deem. Because true victory lies not only in triumph but also in the sacrifices made to achieve it."

He stepped forward, lifting his hands as if to encompass the entirety of the gathered force. "Remember this: you are not merely soldiers. You are the bearers of a new age, the embodiment of the Force's will. Each of you, from the humblest soldier to the mightiest Progenitor, carries a purpose that transcends yourself. Together, we are unstoppable. Together, we are eternal."

The troops erupted into a roar of approval, the sound filling the massive gathering area and echoing across the fleet. Sera, standing beside him, placed a hand over her heart. She may not be a Gen'Dai herself, but she whole heartly believed and supported what he was doing and was glad to be a part of it.

The Force Scions started boarding their transport, while Daimon boarded his own. Once onboard his capital ship, the fleet moved into position to Jump to hyperspace.

"All ships are in position my lord," reported the navigational officer. Giving a nod to the navigational officer, the entire fleet jumped to hyperspace towards Veldari. The war to reclaim the Gen'Dai homeworld had begun.
