Chapter 6 - The Rival

Another great fight, Ethan's fifth in the league, was against Logan "The Icebreaker" Grant, a young prospect with some form of notorious streak.

Polished, charismatic, backed by wealthy sponsors—Logan was everything Ethan wasn't. And so, with the pre-fight hype intense, Logan trash-talked Ethan in interviews—calling him a lucky street brawler, one who didn't belong in the league. The media then did its part, nomenclature framing a battle between raw talent and refined skill.

In the ring, Logan was as advertised. His precision and technique tested Ethan in ways no opponent had ever done before. The fight went the distance, and for the first time, Ethan doubted himself.

In the final round, Ethan found an opening. Logan's overconfidence led to a critical mistake—a dropped guard during a counter. Ethan capitalized, delivering a devastating hook that sent Logan crashing to the mat.

The crowd erupted, but the victory felt hollow. Ethan could see the hatred in Logan's eyes as the referee raised his hand. This wasn't just a fight anymore. It was the start of a rivalry.
