Chapter -37.
"Brothers, it's time to demonstrate to this group of purebloods in the Ministry of Magic the strength of us Muggle-born wizards!" With that, Lester promptly activated his boggart ability, morphing his body into the likeness of another individual.
Person: "."
Gazing at the figure before him that mirrored his own appearance as if sculpted from the same mold, the Person experienced an unexplainable sense of dread.
As expected, Lester, now resembling the person, gradually turned his head and stated, "You, I can't reveal my identity to the public right now."
"You are the most proficient in dark magic in all of Azkaban, so I can only impersonate you and take the prisoners to seek justice from the purebloods. Do you understand?"
Noticing Lester's earnest and serious demeanor, the person 'reluctantly' nodded.
What other choice did he have? Since he had already resolved to fully support Lester, he couldn't allow such a minor issue to jeopardize everything.
After all, he was already a top wanted criminal in the Ministry of Magic; if he had to bear the blame, so be it.
Moreover, this was for Lester; others wouldn't even have the opportunity to take the blame!
"Alright!" Observing that the person's expression appeared genuine, Lester nodded with satisfaction.
In fact, there was another motive for Lester to disguise himself as this individual: he aimed to create a third-generation Dark Lord, a false Dark Lord to act as his cover and draw the attention of other wizards in the magical community.
If he were to become the Dark Lord that everyone focused on, then this candidate needed to have some credentials to be considered a Dark Lord.
This individual had to possess a significant dark history and high-level dark magic abilities.
Only then would others not be suspicious.
And this person was an excellent choice!
.....
Thus, gazing at the person's face, Lester slowly retrieved the key from his pocket under the watchful gaze of the crowd.
"It's time to let this arrogant group of purebloods know who the true master of the wizarding world is!"
After stating this, Lester gripped the portkey tightly.
In the next moment, he felt a strong pulling force emanating from the portkey.
Feeling the powerful tug from the portkey during the teleportation, Lester did not resist but allowed it to carry him away.
Swish!
In the midst of teleportation, Lester first encountered darkness before finding himself surrounded by numerous blinding lights hanging from a vast ceiling.
Then, as he acclimated to his surroundings, he heard a cacophony of sounds ringing in his ears.
Lester, who had just been in Azkaban, was now transported directly to the entrance hall of the first underground level of the Ministry of Magic.
Since the Ministry of Magic in Britain was constructed underground, every wizard wishing to enter the Ministry, unless using Floo Powder, needed to take that phone booth elevator to the entrance hall and then use elevators within the hall to access different floors and departments of the Ministry of Magic.
As the entrance and facade of the Ministry of Magic, the design and decor of the entrance hall were naturally grand.
Long walls on both sides were fitted with fireplaces: the gilded fireplace on the left was for wizards entering the Ministry, while the gilded fireplace on the right was for those departing.
The floor was made of polished dark wood, and the dome was peacock blue, embellished with changing golden symbols.
The Fountain of Magical Brethren is situated in the center of the entrance hall. It consists of a set of golden sculptures, featuring a wizard, a witch, a centaur, and a house-elf, each spraying water into the pool below in a peculiar manner.
At the end of the hall, there are two large golden doors adjacent to the guard station, which is responsible for registering the wands of visitors.
Behind the doors is a smaller hall with numerous elevators that lead to other departments within the Ministry of Magic.
It is Monday, a workday, and the entrance hall of the Ministry of Magic is teeming with people. Countless wizards from all over Britain are continuously moving through this expansive hall to attend to their business.
"Damn, this portkey doesn't take me directly to the Ministry's interior but instead teleports me to the entrance hall!" At this moment, Lester, who had just arrived via portkey, surveyed the crowded hall and couldn't help but curse, despite having prepared himself beforehand. Who would have imagined that the portkey connecting to Azkaban would lead to the entrance hall of the Ministry of Magic?
It is crucial to note that the entire Ministry of Magic in Britain is constructed underground in London. With the aid of magical means, the Ministry has built eight floors underground, and the entrance hall, serving as the facade, is located on the topmost level, which is the first underground floor.
What does this imply? It means that if Lester wants to eliminate Bernard and avenge his deep-seated grudge, he must bring the prisoners and fight his way down from the first underground floor. He must continue battling until he reaches the Auror Command located on the seventh underground floor to confront that damned Bernard.
"Are they trying to compel me to fight through the entire Ministry of Magic?" Lester felt a bit of a headache; if he truly had to battle from the entrance hall all the way to the Auror Command on the seventh underground floor, what difference would it make from fighting through the entire Ministry? Wouldn't he just be left with the Minister's office on the final floor?
"Forget it, no need to overthink; since I'm here, let's set a small goal: to fight through the entire Ministry of Magic!" Although Lester complained about his headache, his eyes sparkled with excitement.
To battle through the Ministry of Magic! This was something that even Voldemort couldn't accomplish at the peak of his power. If he truly managed to do it, how much fear value would he gain!
After resolving his thoughts, Lester took a quick look around the entrance hall. After all, a large group of prisoners would soon arrive at the battlefield, and it would be wise for him to address all potential threats before they appeared.
"Why are there only two Aurors on guard?" After a moment, Lester, having scanned every corner of the entrance hall, was slightly taken aback. Logically speaking, as the most significant facade of the magical world, having ten Aurors stationed in the entrance hall would not be excessive. Yet, there were only two Aurors on duty.
Moreover, judging by their casual conversation, they clearly did not take their responsibilities seriously. It was evident they came from pure-blood families and secured this comfortable position through family connections.
"This is truly a bargain for me!" Observing the weak defenses of the Ministry's entrance hall, Lester felt a rush of excitement.
If there had been ten Aurors on guard, he would have to exert some effort to swiftly eliminate them. But with just two Aurors, especially those who appeared to be slackers, Lester felt he could easily handle them.
