Felix froze when he heard Isabella call him princess.
He wasn't used to being called such a feminine name and it caught him off guard.
But despite his surprise, Felix couldn't help but notice how beautiful Isabella was up close. Her messy bun looked cute and her glasses gave her an air of intelligence that made him feel intrigued. No matter Isabella wouldn't be able to notice that this was Felix not Chloe.
"Princess can you grab me a strawberries short cake?" Isabella asked and touched her daughter hair. Felix froze in place he didn't dare to say a single word.
Felix quickly composed himself and tried his best to imitate a girl's voice.
"Uh... yeah," he said quietly, his voice cracking a bit.
"Sure."
He hurried over to the dessert table and grabbed a slice of strawberries shortcake. He walked back towards Isabella, trying not to make eye contact as he held out the plate.
"I don't care this kind of research is important," a man on the screen said.
"Dr. Willow, please don't be angry," someone else said. They were at least fifteen people on this call and Isabella was in charge of the Akaiy research project.
Felix stood there quietly, listening to the conversation between Isabella and the people on the screen. He was intrigued by their words about research projects and something called Akaiy.
He glanced up at Isabella again, taking in her serious expression and intense focus as she listened to the others on the call.
Felix couldn't help but feel impressed by her dedication to whatever it was they were discussing.
Isabella looked at her daughter and grabbed Felix and she kissed Felix cheeks.
"Chloe my little princess, you look so serious did anyone bully you?" Isabella asked as she kept listening to the other people talking.
"As I said this research is already in the top hospitals, this technology is an important tool I don't care about it anymore I called because we will be working on a new project Dr. Creed please talk about the research."
Felix felt his heart skip a beat as Isabella kissed his cheek.
He had never been kissed by a woman before, let alone one as beautiful as Isabella. He felt his cheeks flush slightly but he tried to keep his composure.
Isabella continued listening to the people on the call, clearly engrossed in their conversation about research projects. Felix couldn't help but feel curious about what they were talking about.
Dr. Creed nodded and began to speak.
"Thank you, Dr. Willow," he said.
"We have been testing the technology in our hospitals for the past few months and it has shown great promise."
"It's helped us to diagnose diseases more quickly and accurately than ever before," he continued.
"And it's also helped us to treat patients more effectively."
"But we're not stopping there," Dr. Creed added, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"We have been working on improving the technology even further and expanding its capabilities."
"We believe that it has the potential to revolutionize healthcare as we know it."
"Okay what does that have to do with me? Tell me what I am in this project."
Dr. Creed cleared his throat and looked at Isabella through the screen.
"That's why we called you, Dr. Willow," he said seriously.
"We need your expertise for this new project."
Dr. Creed cleared his throat and looked at Isabella through the screen.
"That's why we called you, Dr. Willow," he said seriously.
"We need your expertise for this new project."
Isabella leaned forward in her seat, intrigued by what Dr. Creed was about to say.
"Go on," she said quietly.
Dr. Creed took a deep breath before speaking again.
"We're developing a new device that we believe will be able to detect and treat diseases at an even earlier stage than our current technology."
"Detect and treat diseases at an earlier stage?" Isabella repeated, raising an eyebrow. Isabella looked at her daughter she found her acting strange.
Dr. Creed nodded, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Yes," he said enthusiastically. "This device will be able to detect even the smallest signs of illness or disease before it becomes apparent."
"And once detected," he continued.
"The device will also have the ability to treat the illness or disease in real-time."
"Chloe dear can you grab me another dessert?" Isabella said Felix flinched this beautiful woman doesn't even know that he isn't her daughter.
Felix was about to protest but he quickly realized that it would be suspicious if he did.
"Uh, yeah," he said quietly, trying to maintain his feminine voice. He hurried over to the dessert table and grabbed another slice of cake before walking back towards Isabella.
As Felix handed the cake to Isabella, he couldn't help but notice how close their faces were. He could smell her perfume and see every detail of her face. Felix was shocked to see her scarlet there eyes were kind of similar while his were golden scarlet hers were reddish scarlet.
Isabella smiled at him as she took the cake, completely oblivious to the fact that he was not her daughter.
"Thank you, princess," she said softly.
Felix felt a strange fluttering sensation in his chest as she thanked him.
He tried to ignore it, reminding himself that he was supposed to be playing the role of her daughter. But there was something about this woman that made him feel strangely drawn to her.
Felix quickly looked away and tried to focus on something else, but he couldn't help stealing glances at Isabella every now and then.
"Princess, are you unhappy that mommy stopped you from playing your game?" Isabella asked as she nodddd her head while the other talked.
Felix shook his head.
Isabella raised an eyebrow, noticing that her daughter seemed quieter than usual.
"Are you sure?" she asked softly.
"You seem a little quiet today."
Felix was caught off guard by the question. He had been so focused on trying to act like Chloe that he hadn't even realized how much attention Isabella was paying him.
"Mmm yes," Felix whispered and Isabella nodded her head and she put her attention to the video call.
As Isabella turned her attention back to the video call, Felix let out a sigh of relief.
He couldn't help but feel relieved that she had bought his act so far. But he also felt strangely disappointed that she wasn't paying attention to him anymore.
As the conversation on the video call continued, Felix found himself unable to focus on it.
Instead, he kept stealing glances at Isabella. He couldn't help but notice how focused and serious she looked while discussing the new project.
Felix found himself strangely drawn to her intensity and dedication.
*After the meeting, Isabella shut off her zsenb laptop which made the holographic screen disappear and turned to Chloe. Felix who was acting like Chloe looked up.
"Mommy?" Felix whispered.
"Princess let's go back we can watch movies together," Isabella said and picked up Felix.
Felix was taken aback by how easily Isabella picked him up. He wasn't used to being carried around like this, but he didn't complain.
As they walked back towards their hotel, Felix couldn't help but steal glances at Isabella. She looked so beautiful up close, her messy bun making her look cute and approachable.
Felix had to remind himself that he was supposed to be acting like Chloe right now. He took a deep breath and tried to keep his cool as they walked together.
When she opened the room she kicked the door closed and walked inside Chloe room and sat her down. The blankets were pink since this was hotel they couldn't do much about the wall color but Chloe favorite color was pink. Felix fringe this far too much pink!
"Wait here baby mommy will get some honey tea and we can watch a movie together," Isabella said.
Felix nodded obediently and watched as Isabella left the room.
He looked around Chloe's room and felt a little overwhelmed by all the pink decorations. It was definitely not something he was used to.
As he waited for Isabella to return with the tea, Felix fidgeted nervously on the bed, feeling out of place in such a feminine environment.
After a few minutes, Isabella returned with two steaming mugs of honey tea.
She handed one to Felix and sat down next to him on the bed.
"Here you go," she said softly.
"Drink up, it'll make you feel better."
Felix took the mug awkwardly, feeling his heart beat faster as Isabella sat down next to him.
He took a sip of the tea, trying not to make eye contact with her as they sat together on the bed.
