Seeing that she couldn’t take her eyes off the quail, Dohwi handed her a spoon and asked with concern.
“Would it help if I stayed by your side?”
“Huh?”
As he placed a piece of quail meat on her rice, he continued casually.
“At night. So you don’t have nightmares.”
“That’s okay. You must be tired too, how can you stay by my side all night?”
“I can sleep together with you, in your bedroom.”
“What?”
Sohwa stared into Dohwi’s clear brown eyes, doubting his seriousness.
As autumn approached, both of them would enter their mating season. The idea of two animals in heat sleeping in the same room was beyond nonsense.
Plus, even though Dohwi’s mating season was so subdued that she barely noticed, hers was not.
“Dohwi, regardless of species, men and women should keep their distance. It’s inappropriate, even between us.”
Sohwa scolded him, clicking her tongue inwardly.
Unfazed, Dohwi calmly lowered his gaze, tearing the wing of the quail and placing it on her spoon.
