The day of the wedding ceremony was drawing near, and excitement buzzed through the air as everyone prepared for the wedding celebrations. Devyansh had returned to Jaipur, and now it was time for my family to join in the festivities. We arrived at the grand hotel where the ceremonies would take place, and the grandeur of the place took my breath away. The hotel was a picture of elegance, adorned with flowers and lights, setting the perfect stage for the upcoming celebrations.
After checking into our rooms, we took some time to rest and relax before the evening's dinner. The anticipation for the Haldi ceremony and the wedding was palpable, and I could feel the mix of excitement and nerves inside me. The day had been long, but the thought of spending the evening with Devyansh and our families made me smile.
As dinner time approached, I made my way downstairs to the dining area. The room was filled with chatter and laughter, and the table was set with an array of delicious dishes. I scanned the room for a place to sit and noticed that all the seats were occupied except for one—next to Devyansh. My heart skipped a beat at the thought of sitting beside him.
I took a deep breath and approached the table, sliding into the seat next to him. Devyansh looked up from his plate and smiled warmly. "Hey, Ananya," he greeted, his eyes sparkling with affection.
"Hi, Devyansh," I replied, feeling a flutter of warmth as I settled into my seat.
As we began our meal, Devyansh's mother, Malini Devi, looked over at me with a kind smile. "Ananya, I hope your journey was comfortable. Did you have any trouble getting here?"
"No, aunty, everything was perfect. Thank you," I said, feeling a rush of gratitude.
"Are beta abb to app hamari ghar ki bahu banene ja rahi hai, abb Humai aunty nhi mummy ya maa khana shuru kar do." she said with a smile and teasing way.
"Ji, maa." I said with shyness.
Throughout the dinner, I was acutely aware of Devyansh's hand brushing against mine under the table. My heart raced with each touch, and I glanced at him, but his face remained serious, as if he was unaware of the effect he was having on me.
The warmth of his hand against mine was both comforting and thrilling. I felt a blush rising to my cheeks and wanted to pull my hand away, but his grip was gentle yet firm, holding mine in place. I leaned closer and whispered softly, "Devyansh, please haath chhodiye. Sab dekh lenge."
He didn't respond and instead tightened his hold slightly, his fingers caressing mine in a tender, reassuring way. I felt a mix of shyness and excitement, struggling to focus on the conversation around me.
Dinner continued with light-hearted chatter and laughter, but I found it difficult to concentrate on anything other than the warmth of his hand. The touch was a secret between us, creating a bubble of intimacy amid the bustling room.
When the meal came to an end and everyone began to rise from the table, Devyansh finally released my hand. As I stood up, he leaned closer, his lips brushing against my cheek in a soft, lingering kiss. The touch was sweet and affectionate, and it made my heart race even more.
"Aap kitni aasani se sharma jaati hain, jaan," he whispered with a teasing smile, his breath warm against my skin.
I turned to him, my cheeks flushed and my voice barely above a whisper. "Aap toh bas... impossible ho, Devyansh."
He chuckled softly, his eyes full of affection. "Humai accha lagta hai apko blush dekh kar. Humara man karta hai hum apko or bhi jyada tease kare. Accha,Kal ki Haldi ceremony ke liye taiyaar ho na?"
I nodded, feeling a surge of love and anticipation. "Haan, Devyansh. Hum bas thoda nervous hai."
"Ismai nervous hone ki koi baat nhi, Hum hai tumhare sath or humesha rhenga" he said with some seriousness.
"Humai pta hai" I said and hug him rubbing my face in his chest. He smile seeing that and put his hand in my hair.
As we parted ways for the night, I felt a mix of emotions—excitement for the ceremony and happiness for the moments we shared. Heading back to my room, I couldn't help but smile, knowing that tomorrow would bring even more joy and closeness as we continued our journey towards becoming husband and wife.
-------
The morning of the Haldi ceremony was bathed in a warm, golden light, reflecting my own bubbling excitement. I woke up with a feeling of elation, the significance of the day filling me with joy. After a refreshing shower, I dressed in my bright yellow lehenga, its vibrant hue perfectly suited for the festivities. The fabric felt light and airy, and I admired how it complemented the cheerful spirit of the day.
As I made my way downstairs, I could hear the hum of lively conversations and laughter. The hotel garden was a sight to behold, adorned with marigold flowers and colorful drapes, creating an enchanting setting. Guests were mingling, their faces alight with anticipation.
Devyansh's mother, Malini Devi, approached me with a warm smile. "Ananya, aap bahut sundar lag rahi hain. Yeh lehenga aaj ke din ke liye bilkul perfect hai," she said, her voice full of warmth.
I smiled shyly and responded, "Thank you, mummy. Aap bhi bhaut pyari lag rahi hai."
She then led me to the seat next to Devyansh. As I took my place, I felt a mix of nervousness and excitement. Devyansh's gaze was fixed on me, and I noticed the intensity in his eyes. It made my heart race and my cheeks flush.
The Haldi ceremony began with the elders applying the paste to us. The cool, soothing mixture of turmeric, rose water, and sandalwood was applied with care. The process was joyful, filled with laughter and playful teasing.
When it was Devyansh's turn to apply Haldi, he approached with a confident, almost commanding presence. "Aap pe Haldi lagana toh meri duty hai," he said, his voice warm but assertive. His fingers applied the paste gently on my cheeks, his touch both reassuring and intimate.
He then extended his hand towards me with a playful smirk. "Aap Humai haldi nhi lagai gi, Ananya?" he asked, his tone carrying an undertone of dominance.
I took some Haldi and began to apply it to his cheeks. The proximity of our faces and the intensity of his gaze made me feel a rush of emotions. My heart pounded as I focused on spreading the paste, his eyes never leaving mine.
My cousins, witnessing the moment, started teasing us. One of them said with a grin, "Arre yaar, Ananya aur Devyansh ko dekh ke lagta hai yeh Haldi ceremony nhi ek romantic film ke scene hai!"
I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment. I glanced at Devyansh, hoping he would ease the situation. He noticed my discomfort and placed a calming hand on my shoulder. "Koi baat nahi, jaan. Sab theek hai," he whispered, his voice both soothing and protective.
He then shot a firm glance at my teasing cousins, making it clear he wasn't amused. " Apna muh band rakho, varna romantice scean ki jagah kuch or ho jaiga," he said, in commanding tone.
After the ceremony, Devyansh and I went to freshen up. The day had been a whirlwind of emotions, and very tiring after fresh up I went to bed to sleep then after sometime someone know on the door
" Kon hai? " I said in a tired voice. Like seriously mai bride hu or mujhe he koi sone nhi da rha.
"ooo sona bad mai pehle chal na niche chalte hai, sab log hai bha pa or maza kar rahe hai" said Priya barging into my room.
"Ha to, Hum nhi ja rha, Humai sona hai or tu akeli bhi to ja sakti hai na" I said getting irritated.
"Accha theek hai fir, mai jiju ko bol dungi ki tu nhi aa rahi hai" she said with seriousness and was about to go outside.
"Are ruk ja" I said getting up. "Dekh uth gayi mai"
"Accha, jiju ka name Sunkar kitna jaldi nind khuli or mai jo bulane aai usa to ase hi bhej thi hai, dost dost na raha." She said with fake sadness.
"Bas kar apna ya drama mai aa rha hu bas fresh hokar, tu ruk yahi" I said. And then we both go downstairs in the garden.
Our cousins gathered in the hotel's park for a lively get-together. The park was beautifully illuminated with fairy lights, creating a cozy and enchanting atmosphere.
Everyone was sitting in sofa and I also sit beside Devyansh and he was busy in his phone. Khadus. Then me and priya start to talk.
As the evening progressed, everyone was singing and enjoying themselves. Amidst the festivities, someone suggested, "Ananya, aap bhi ek gaana gaao Devyansh ke liye!"
I hesitated, feeling a bit shy. "Arre, mujhe nahi pata, yeh gaana gaane ka," I protested, looking at the group with unease.
But the encouragement from everyone grew louder, and I looked at Devyansh. He nodded with a reassuring smile, giving me the confidence I needed. I took a deep breath and began to sing a romantic song dedicated to him.
The lyrics of the song, filled with affection and emotion, seemed to capture the essence of my feelings for Devyansh. As I sang, I could see Devyansh's eyes locked on me, his expression one of complete admiration and intensity. It was as if the entire world had faded away, leaving just the two of us in that moment.
When the song ended, the crowd erupted into playful teasing. "Arre Ananya, aapke gaane ne toh sabko dil se chhoo diya!" one of my cousins teased, making me blush even more.
Feeling a mix of shyness and warmth, I made my way to Devyansh and sat beside him. The teasing and my flushed cheeks made me seek comfort, and I hugged him tightly. Devyansh's arm wrapped around me, and he whispered softly, "Aapka gaana sunke dil ko bahut sukoon mila, jaan."
"Aap bhi sab ki taraha mujhe chida rhe hai" I said. And was about to broke the hug when he said "hum nhi chida rhe apko, Hum to bas apki tarif kar raha tha" and hug me tightly not letting me go.
As the evening progressed, the lively gathering slowly began to wind down. Guests started to make their way back to their rooms, their laughter and conversations fading into the night. Devyansh and I exchanged glances, a silent understanding passing between us.
Once everyone had left, Devyansh took my hand in his, his touch sending a shiver down my spine. He guided me to a quieter corner of the hotel, away from the dimming lights and fading conversations. My heart raced with anticipation, a mix of excitement and nervousness building within me.
When we reached a secluded spot near the end of a corridor, Devyansh pressed me gently against the wall. His gaze was intense, his eyes locked onto mine with a depth that made my breath catch. I tried to look around nervously, the sense of vulnerability heightened by the secluded setting.
"Devyansh, koi aa sakta hai… humein yahan nahi rehna chahiye," I stammered, my voice trembling with both excitement and apprehension.
Before I could finish my sentence, Devyansh's lips met mine in a fierce, passionate kiss. His kiss was urgent, demanding, and full of the intensity that had been building between us. His lips moved over mine with a fervor that made my head spin.
He kissed me on my cheeks, my forehead, and the corners of my mouth, each touch igniting a fire within me. I responded with equal fervor, our emotions pouring into the kiss, making it a tender yet fervent exchange.
After a moment that felt like an eternity, Devyansh pulled away slightly, his breath mingling with mine. He took my hand again and led me back to my room, his presence both comforting and electrifying. Once we reached my door, he gently pressed a final kiss to my forehead before leaving.
I entered my room, my mind still reeling from the intensity of our encounter. The warmth of Devyansh's kisses lingered on my skin, and the memory of his touch made me smile as I prepared for bed.
