"I'm all set Muyan, let's go", said Ara and they headed towards school.
In school, Muyan headed towards an empty seat waiting for the next class when his friends Jake and Jimmy approached him.
"Hey bro, good morning", Jake greeted.
"Yo bro what's up", said Jimmy
"Good morning my best friends, how are you all doing today"
"We're fine", they responded.
"What are you doing here, sitting all alone at the back?", Jimmy asked
"Nothing serious, Jimmy. I might just start sitting here after all", said Muyan.
"Why bro?"
"Nothing "
"You're lying to us, just tell us the truth Muyan ", said Jake.
"It's nothing serious guys, I simply don't want Ms. Karen to pick on me today. She always find a fault in anything I do be it right or wrong and always making me a laughing stock to OT, Dora and every other person who constantly picks on me, today I don't want that to happen. That's why I chose to sit at the back hoping she won't find me", Muyan replied.
"Let's head to the cafeteria before Ms Karen comes for her lesson guys", Jimmy said.
Getting to the cafeteria, the friends noticed there was a crowd filled with students. Jimmy walked up to a student, "Hey, what's going on?"
"It's OT, you know OT right one of the richest guys on Campus he's proposing to Dora asking her to be his girlfriend and I'm so happy I wish it was me", grinning she happily replied and walked away.
"There's only one Dora on this campus and it can't be the one I know", he quietly said to himself and walked up to his friends.
"Jimmy what's happening?", Jake asked.
Jimmy unsure of how to break this news to Muyan began to stammer
"Err it's err d-dora, and that OT, he's err proposing to her"
"Dora?!!", hearing this, Muyan ran away to the scene and after making his way into the crowd, he saw OT wearing a ring on Dora's hand and everyone cheering and clapping loudly .
"Dorathy!!!!", Muyan screamed.
Everywhere became quiet and all eyes were fixed on Muyan. "How dare you do this to me?!". Tears began to drop on his face as he walked to meet his ex girlfriend, Dorathy.
"What's going on here, why did you scream my name like that", Dora said feigning ignorance.
"Why did you betray me Dora? What happened to the love we shared? You're my girlfriend why is this guy putting a ring on your finger, what's going on?"
The minute Muyan called Dora his girlfriend the crowd bursted into laughter with some calling Muyan names.
"How dare a poor boy like you think you can date the most beautiful girl in this school?", someone from the crowd said and the crowd roared with more laughter.
OT, surprised that Muyan had disrupted him walked to Muyan's front and said "I'm sorry you thought Dora was your girl, you can't even afford her", he placed his hand on Muyan's shoulder and began to laugh "Dora was never your girl, she's mine". OT then whispered into Muyan's ear, "I made a promise to always take away anything that makes you happy as long as it's within my reach, didn't I?. I have taken Dora away from you and I'll continue taking everything you love away from you.", then he walked back and hugged Dora and began to laugh at Muyan again and the crowd joined him to laugh too.
Furious and frustrated, Muyan charged at OT and began to give him blows before Jimmy, Jake and a few of OT's friends came to separate them.
Dora angered by what had happened, went and slapped Muyan on his cheeks and she muttering, "I hate you so much for ruining my day you fool. I'm not and will never be a girlfriend to a poor boy like you. Don't ever mistake my friendliness for love", tears began to drop on her face and the crowd began to feel pity for her.
"Dora I promise to make you pay for this. I'll work hard and you all will work under me and I'll make your lives miserable", Muyan screamed crying", I'll make you all pay, you will all pay", he kept on saying as Jimmy and Jake dragged him away.
OT, humiliated by what Muyan had done also swore to revenge on Muyan while his friends helped him to get on his feet, "That boy! I'll make him regret ever laying his hands on me I swear!!".
As the celebration was cut short, the students began to disperse, all talking about what had happened to Muyan, OT and Dora. Very few of them felt pity for Muyan, a large number of them were happy that Dora denied ever being his girlfriend since he was poor.
Jimmy and Jake took Muyan to the class to console him,
"You can't keep crying over Dora Muyan, she'll only distract you. You have to focus on your education brother and make it in life first and watch how everything will fall in pleasant places for you".
After Muyan stopped crying and telling his friends his relationship with Dorathy,he noticed his mates coming into the class then he proceeded to change the topic,
"Speaking about Ms Karen, she gave us an assignment, did you guys attempt it?, Muyan asked
"You said you''ll do mine for me", Jake said
"When did I ever say that, I simply said I won't do mine since Ms Karen always fails my assignments so there's no need to do the assignment", Muyan asked.
"And that's why I told you to do mine since you weren't going to attempt yours and by the way the questions are a bit confusing and you understood it better ", said Jake angrily.
"No Jake, I didn't hear you say that to be honest ", Muyan said.
"You", Jake said pointing his finger at Muyan "I do almost everything for you, I pay for the food you eat, I pay your transport fare, I buy you clothes, everything for free but what have you ever given me in return? Nothing absolutely nothing Muyan. Just this little favor I requested from you, you lied about not hearing when I begged you help me. You are a bad person Muyan", he said angrily at the top of his voice. This made Jimmy and Muyan very surprised.
"Jake please calm down, you're creating a scene", Jimmy begged.
This time, people had already started gathering towards them since they saw Muyan there because they wanted to pick on him at any given opportunity
"Mind your goddamn business Jimmy", Jake said with a sneer.
" Look brother I'm sorry, I really -", Muyan apologized before getting interrupted by Jake
" Oh please do not call me your brother ever again, it's no wonder you came to sit at the back to avoid me and you're lying to cover up you disgusting poor thing ", Jake fired.
Now there was already a crowd forming up around them and they began to cheer Jake to fight Muyan but he angrily walked away.
"Poor people always love to lie and Muyan is a perfect example of that", said someone.
"I hope Jake beats him up, poor smelly thing". came another
"I don't know why Jimmy is still hanging out with someone like him eww ", a girl said.
"Enough already! All of you should get out of here. Shameless lots all you know how to do is bully and and constantly suppress someone", Jimmy angrily said while attempting to push them all away.
Overwhelmed by everything that just happened, Muyan couldn't say anything he broke down and began to cry, they all had no idea that OT had paid Jake to humiliate Muyan and Jake accepted the offer because he felt Muyan wasn't contributing as a friend to his growth in any way.
"Jimmy I swear I never heard when Jake said I should do his homework for him", he said in tears.
"It's okay Muyan, I know you didn't hear him cause you will never purposely refuse to assist us. Jake is simply overreacting and I don't even understand why but do not worry I'll talk to him okay? Now wipe away your tears I do not want these crazy fellows to see you crying ", Jimmy said calming his friend down.
"What's all the noise and drama about?", Ms Karen said. Ms Karen was their teacher, she loved and treated students based on their financial background so she never spares Muyan as he wasn't from a wealthy background. Due to all the drama that was happening they didn't notice when she walked into the class. Quietly she moved to where they all gathered and sighting Muyan she said,
"I knew it Muyan. It can only be you who causes distraction to everyone. All you know how to do is cause chaos and confusion to the people around you. So today you didn't come late for my class but to cause confusion? Leave my class right now ", she ordered.
"N-N-No ma I didn't -", Muyan said trying to defend himself
"Shut up and leave my class". Jimmy began to beg Ms Karen his friend on his friends behalf but all pleas fell on deaf ears. Then Muyan began to pack up his stuff inside his bag and he walked away amidst all the laughter and jeering from his classmates.
After she was done with her lecture, Ms Karen was about to leave the class when she noticed her phone was missing. Unknown to her, she entered the class and left her bag on her desk to know why a crowd had gathered and Jake used that opportunity to take out her phone and drop it in Muyan's bag when he was being scolded by her.
"I know all of you seated here are aspiring to be great leaders of tomorrow but what I don't know is why aspiring great leaders of tomorrow will take what doesn't belong to them ", she said.
This time the whole class was confused and silent.
" Now who took my phone ", she yelled angrily, "If you know you took my phone I'll advice you to kindly return it before I call the security to search you all and if they find it on any of you, an instant expulsion awaits you"
The class began to murmur then Jimmy got up, being the class monitor to address them
"Please whoever that took Ms Karen's phone should return it please we're all aware that she has important files on it so please return it"
Nobody had returned the phone and as Ms Karen was about to call the security on them, Jake got up and stopped her,
"Wait Ms Karen don't call the security yet, I know who took your phone and who assisted the culprit in stealing it", said Jake.
"How sure are you Jake ", she responded.
" Very sure ma"
"And who are the culprits?", she inquired.
"It's Muyan and Jimmy that stole your phone Ms Karen", Jake said and sat down.
The class went dead silent and all eyes were on Jimmy.
