At exactly 10 am. Blake was at Jeff's office. He always kept to time . Knock. Knock
" Come in" Jeff ushered. He met Jeff and another familiar man.
" Hey Jeff. Blake this is Tobias. Tobias this is Blake".
They shook hands.
" I guess Tobias you didn't change that much"
" Even Jeff didn't change that much. You've changed a lot. Scrap the fact you look great in terms of handsome ness and class. You've aged faster and look meaner and scary. What happened?" Blake's face darkened.
" Im so sorry I asked".
" It's fine. Blake hasn't brought himself to talk to people about what happened to him but I'll tell you. Should I Blake"
Blake nodded.
" To cut the story short. Blake's father the great Mr Leslie willed most if not everything apart from his three mansions to Blake. I don't know the full details but it seemed their father saw his siblings quest for money and power. They eventually killed him under the cover of he died of a heart attack. The will was read and they had nothing but a mansion and the assets they always had to themselves. Now this didn't sit well with them. They pretended everything was fine. Blake here met a girl when he went to England . He brought her to Bienville county. They had a secret relationship and then they got engaged. Now this is the juiciest part. Blake thought he was at peace with his siblings but it wasn't so. They planned an assassination on him. He and Tessa were shot. They were rushed to my hospital. On the way, Tessa died. It took 4 hours of surgery to get Blake back to life. His siblings fled out of the county when they heard he didn't die and he figured out they were behind the assassination. It's been 6 years now and I strongly believe his siblings are not still at peace."
" Those blood suckers will feel my wrath if they dare cross my path"Blake stomped his hand on the desk gnashing his teeth in anger.
" Blake you have to calm down okay "Tobias patted his shoulders. " So what does your new receptionist has to do in all of this?"
" Na he just wants to satisfy his curiosity. He wants to see if she's related to Tessa"
"hmmm I see" "so do you have picture of the girl?"
" No I don't. I was thinking you both would come over to my office now. She's at the office " Blake asked. His eyes had turned red.
" Sure let's go". Tobias and Jeff chorused.

Feeling so ashamed and sad, Nessa called Mason to come over.
" Hey princess" he hugged her tightly. She burst into tears. She recounted what transpired at the company. Mason flared up.
" It's fine Mason. His boss Blake is not as wicked as he is"she cupped his face in her hand.
" Why do you keep covering for them? They humiliated you today."
" Blake wasn't even in the office Mason"
" what if he was him that instructed they fire you"
" can we just stop talking about it please" her eyes were filled with tears.
He lightly planted a kiss on her lips. Slowly the kiss turned passionate. They both gasped for air as their tongues wrestled against each other.
" Im so sorry" Nessa apologized.
" You don't have to be sorry. Have you eaten today?"
" No. I haven't."
" Let's go get some food "
" can we see papa from there. " " Yes we will my princess"

Tobias , Jeff and Blake got to the company with the excitement of seeing Nessa.
" Is this Renee?"
" Yeah Blake is this Renee. She doesn't look like Tessa at all" Jeff whispered to his ears.
Blake flared up in anger. The staffs new all wasn't well. They shook in fear.
"You I want you to get everyone down here right now" he ordered one of the staffs. In few minutes the first floor was filled with all the staffs.
" Where's the receptionist!!" The room fell silent. A pin drop could be heard"
" I say again where's the receptionist!!"
" I… I am here boss" " who are you?"
" Charlie hired this morning sir" " Get out of my company right now" . Blake said in a cold voice. A voice more deadlier than a shouting voice did.
In the twinkle of an eye the young woman bolted out in fear.
" I'll ask again for the last time . I don't mind laying everyone this minute".
" It was charlie sir"
" Charlie?"
" Yes sir he fired her today ?"
Like a shaking leaf, Charlie came out of the crowd and faced Blake.
" Did you fire Renee?"
" Yes sir I did. She came late to work".
" How many minutes late sir" Charlie shivered.
" I said how many minutes. Answer me this minute!! "
" She was late by ten minutes Blake!"
" Is that enough reason to fire her" " But sir?"
" Since you have decided to act like a CEO. It's high time you left my company and become your own CEO?"
"Sir?" " You are fired and Renee will take your place. Get out now. Your things will be sent to you by tomorrow."
"Blake it's me"
" Don't make me humiliate you more than this"
shamefully he left the company. His hate for Nessa had reached it's peak. He had spent 4 years of his life in the company. He gave his sweat and blood to the company. He fired Nessa with the hope of being commended by Blake. This wasn't the first time him or Blake had fired someone. Why was he so attached to her? Was there something to it that he didn't know. He'll find out.
" Renee you would pay for this. I promise you" he took one last look at the company and left.
" You sure this is her house?" Jeff asked Blake in the car. They had checked her resume and found her address.
" Didn't we all check it together" Blake retorted.
" Let's be calm. One of us has to check if she's at home. No worries I'll do that." Tobias went to her doorstep but she wasn't at home. He went back to the car.
" Guys she's not around".
" Then we'll wait till she gets back" Blake commanded.
" But Blake what's so special about her. We know she's not Tessa then why are you bothered badly. Today you sacked Charlie. He has been nothing but a good personal assistant to you. What he did was what you always do."
" I don't know I just feel the emotional attachment with her. I feel a connection with her. That's why I hired Tobias. Maybe if I find something then everything will be fine. Too bad Charlie suffered for…." " Is that the Renee girl?" Blake felt something in his heart and figured it will be no one but her . " Yes it's her let's go".
Mason was about to drop Nessa back at home when three guys approached them.
" Blake?" She was very surprised to see him. Jeff stopped in his tracks. She was a replica of Tessa.
"Tessa?" He asked confused.
" Who's Tessa?" She asked.
" It's enough. You all have done enough. You embarrassed her at the office today. Have you come to finish what you started? Leave her now or else" Mason threatened.
" Or else what? You'll do what! Should I be scared?" Mason stood akimbo with Blake. The rage in their eyes seemed they would tear each other apart any moment. The both of them were well built and good in combat skills too. Blake's skill was higher than that of Mason.
" No one is causing a scene outside. Look the neighbors are watching " indeed the neighbors were really watching. A few were about to call the police in any minute.
" Mason come over here " she pulled Mason to a corner holding his hand. " Don't worry I'll be fine" she rubbed his hand.
" You sure?"
" I promise I'll be fine. Blake's a nice guy. He's mean but he's nice deep down . I can feel it."
" He doesn't seem nice to me. I'll take you word on this. If anything happens don't hesitate to call me."
" Sure I will".
" Goodnight princess "
" Goodnight".
He hugged her planting a kiss on her forehead and lips.
After he drove off she went to meet Blake and his friends.
" Are you done with your boyfriend?"
The word boyfriend made her ears turn read.
" He's not my boyfriend".
" very well then " he bluffed. " I want us to talk".
" When you say us. Is it just both of us or the four of us?" " Hmm a bold one" Tobias chuckled.
She is bolder than Tessa Blake thought within himself.
" Let's all go inside. The neighbors have done enough poking for today. Thank you guys for giving them an impression about me" Nessa flared and walked to her doorstep. " Aren't you guys coming in or you want to stay outside?"
Tobias , Jeff and Blake sat on the cushion.
" Blake the dining right now ". Like a baby being ordered Blake stoop up without complaining. Tobias and Jeff were surprised. This was the all powerful Blake Leslie being ordered by a woman.
" This is strange " Tobias said with surprise. He witnessed who Blake was at the company and even with the young man outside .
Meanwhile in the dining room Blake kept staring at Nessa. Was it possible Tessa never died? But he buried her. Or did she?..
" Are you going to keep staring or you don't have anything to say" she folded her arms.
" I'm sorry "
" what's the sorry for. Is it for the staring awkwardly or the scene you caused outside or the humiliation I got from the company.
" I am sorry about everything. Honestly I didn't know he fired you. I came to the company to see someone else at your table . Then the staffs said you were fired. I got angry and fired Charlie?"
" Wait you did what, you fired the cute Italian guy ?"
" So you are crushing on someone when you have a boyfriend. Hmm women "
" he's not my boyfriend urghhh. Plus how would you get someone as good as Charlie. He was humble for someone second in command. It's just that he never liked me"
" I've found someone else"
"so quick? Who's that"
" you. Renee I want you back at the office as my personal assistant and second in command "
Renee was lost in thoughts. She didn't want the job offer at all. She had to take it because of her secret job. Plus being his assistant would make her have more information about him.
" You know what . Let's do things this way. If I resume at the office tomorrow. I'll work as your personal assistant and if I don't know I don't to work with you anymore. Agreed?"
" Anything you say Renee.." they shook hands as sign of the agreement. She saw the three friends off to where they parked the car.

The joy of accomplishing a thing hit Nessa. She blushed behind the door.
With smiles across her face she called Gloria
" Hey good evening" " Are you tired of your job yet, young lady?" Mocking her in a sarcastic tone. Nessa but her lips in anger giving it a small cut.
" Far from it. I'm taking the offer of being Blake's assistant . Personal assistant."
" Hmm I see. That's a good one. Don't mess this up. Always keep an eye on him. ""
" Yes Gloria I will."
" Go get some rest. You have a new position at work tomorrow and a stressful one too ."
Gloria hung up.

" We'll that's a good one Gloria. I trust you on this. I want this to be as quick as anything. Me and my siblings can't wait for that bastard to breath his last." He laughed at the other end
Gloria not happy joined in the laughter.
