DS is short for Dragon Soul, a species originating from Yohigon, with a strong lineage linked to lustful demons who suck your soul in exchange for absolute power, fusing two souls into one.
The difference between a Dragon Soul and a Succubus/Incubus is that, while one can extract life energy through sexual intercourse, the other can do the same, but also by sacrificing its own energy in exchange for its partner's life energy.
This makes the Dragon and the host unique, and they evolve on the same shore.
