After this moment, the sky gradually darkened to a point where he had the impression that there would be a storm over the city of California... but Yamika decided to give his final words in the midst of the darkened atmosphere.

As the two stood face to face, a scene not far from the city showed some kind of unknown meteor falling towards California.

"His mother has cancer, but he didn't specify what it was." He gestures with his hands, and Yamika is surprised by the sudden news.

She lowered her head, stunned and saddened by the situation. The worry that roamed through her mind was her lack of faith in this tragic news.

"I hope Mrs. Kenji gets better soon. I wouldn't wish that on anyone." she lamented as she clasped her hands together, praying that all would be well with Kenji's mother.

The sky, which had only been dark before, was now filled with clouds of the deepest darkness, an omen of a fierce storm that would soon consume every corner of California.

Seconds later, a black car pulled up to where Anken and Yamika were standing... it was Mr. Suzuki, who was on his way to pick up his daughter because of the storm that was about to hit the city.

He parked alongside and opened the window to talk to his daughter, who was waiting for answers.

"I'm going to get some things from the market, daughter, would you like a ride home?" Morgon Suzuki asked, looking appreciatively at his daughter and noticing that Anken was also by her side.

He was an ordinary-looking man but with signs of a high economic status. His black hair already showed a few gray hairs, reflecting his advanced age. He wore a black business suit while driving his black BMW 320i.

"Hi, Mr. Suzuki. You can take her. I was just leaving." Anken replied dryly as he straightened his hair and walked in the opposite direction down the pavement.

Morgon, with a worried look on his face, nodded silently for his daughter to get into the car. He then began to drive towards where Anken was walking.

Anken remained silent, putting a hood over his head and headphones over his ear to ignore his surroundings, which were in continuous action.

"Don't you want a ride, Anken?" Said Morgon with the window open as he drove slowly, looking down the side of the boy's face. "You might catch a cold in this coming cold front because of the storm." He finished as he let the car's acceleration down and stopped it on the pavement.

Anken watched and paused for a moment as he watched the man's eyes.

Yamika put her hand on her chest and worried about her friend, who was going home alone without someone to take him to safety.

"It's okay, maybe I'll take the bus home." He replied with direct words as he turned the dial on his headset down to the zero volume of his music.

"And how are you going to catch a bus if you've left the very stop you were at, darling?" Morgon asked as he laughed a little when he realized that the three of them were just standing at the bus stop.

Anken was speechless when he realized what had happened. He had tried to avoid her father's presence so that he wouldn't have to explain himself, but the gentleman was more astute and undid his attempt at defiance.

He laughs a little at his failed plan and talks to his best friend's father afterward.

"You've backfired on me, congratulations." Anken smiles, looking at Mr. Suzuki with his hood over his head as he puts the thumb of his right hand up.

Mr. Suzuki began rummaging through the car's drawer, looking for something useful to Anken, something that could help him today.

"Take this." Morgon said, tossing a disposable wallet into Anken's hands that contained 20 dollars' worth of bills for personal assistance.

Anken took the wallet Morgon handed him and smiled, feeling a little joy and gratitude for his best friend's father's generous help.

"Take care, kid. If you need anything, you can call me. I'm grateful every day for being a good example to my daughter." He finished and closed the window so that he could continue on his way to the supermarket with Yamika in the back of the car.

The raindrops began to fall more heavily, soaking Anken's hood as he tried to protect his head.

His cell phone rang quickly, and it was Yamika sending a message to his WithZapp.

[Yamika: It's money for you to take a driver in case something happens to the city environment. My father cares a lot about those who have held me for years. I hope you'll be okay after the news. We'll support Kenji as much as we can, okay? kisses~].

Anken read the message with a soft tone, similar to the one she always used to justify herself in positive moments. He smiled as he received the message, feeling welcomed and supported in the midst of the bad feelings he was facing.

[Thanks Yamika, you can leave it].

He sends the message to her and marks an *EMOJI HEART* over the message he received from her to brighten his moment.

Soon, thunder rumbled in the sky and it began to rain all over California.

The rain in the sky was getting on his clothes, and he held his hood tightly over his head as he walked forward.

"There's definitely something strange about this storm, I need to check out a nearby establishment to see what the latest news is." Anken thought to himself as he continued on his way to a nearby store to watch the television.

As a sort of meteor fell from the sky and was heading towards California in a few minutes, he was shown a strong blue glow gradually flashing inside the debris.
