MEGAN'S POV
"Well I'm so sorry that I will not be able to attend the party. You know, my mom she is always strict about my studies." I showed my sad expression. "Well that's fine, I think I have to tell my friends to postponed the party." Liam said. "You don't have to do that. You have to enjoy with your friends. Also it's not that we have been friends for so long. I don't want you to make you friends upset. You have to go on with the party. That doesn't concern you if you come. Chill out and enjoy your day OK. " I replied.
I don't know why Liam wanted to postponed the party. Or maybe because of me. Why do I have to think so much. All I have to think of is my Saturday tutoring session.
Our conversations flowed naturally as we were talking about days during highschool. We made a laughter and indeed. It was awesome having a male new friend that captured every single girl at campus. It's kinda of being more popular. I glanced at my watch. "Guys I think I have to go. I don't want to keep my cousin waiting."" Do you mind if you have a ride with me? I will take both of you guys." Liam ventured. "It's okay my cousin is going to pick me up. You can ride Mia home." I replied as I was getting my purse and bag. "Have a nice weekend Mia and Liam." I said waving goodbye to them.
I was at the park lot waiting for my cousin to pick me up. Well he saw me and opened his front of his car so that I can take the front seat next to him. My parents and Steven learned my habit of not tying the seat belt whenever I would take the front seat in the car. All they had to do is to tie my seat belt. I don't if that's being naughty or something but I'm clumsy at that. "You are 18 soon making 19 but I don't why you are still clumsy with tying seat belts. I thought you are a grown up." Steven said." You are my only old cousin brother I have and I'm your only little cute cousin." I replied. "What do you mean by that?" Steven asked. "I mean that you have to take care of me because I always become little when it comes to tying seat belts so don't blame your little sister." I replied. "Ok I get it my most beautiful girl in the world." Steven said. I nodded my head in a funny way that made Steven to chuckle out. Steven stopped his car at the restaurant. "Why have we stopped at the restaurant? I thought we were heading at home." I asked. "Well today I wanted to have a chat with my friends and I never wanted to leave you at home alone." Steven replied. We entered the restaurant. "Steven over here!" One of Steven's friend shouted. "Hello guys, it has been a long time." Steven said as he was heading to them. I took a seat next to Steven. "This is my cousin sister Megan." Steven introduced me to his friends. "Hey Megan, you look so cute." One of Steven's friends said. I smiled and said. "Thank you!" "Hey stop complementing my sister. I don't want any of you to complement on her. She's little."Steven said. I pinched him on his arm and whispered to him. "Stop embarrassing me by calling me little." We called the waiter and ordered our meals. So we started digging in.
Steven's friends were two boys and a girl. I liked the girl because she looked to be a person with integrity and less of words. She was also beautiful. "Buddy, you are still single till now. You are getting old I think you to get someone by your side." One of Steven's friend called James said as he was telling Steven. "Buddy I don't think I am ready for that." Steven replied. The girl near Jake who was also another friend to Steven looked at Steven as she was smiling. I noticed that she may be had something on my cousin but maybe she couldn't express it as I can't express my feelings for Harris. We finished our dinner that night. Everything went well and it was fun.Steven's friends Jake and Kent had got drunk that night so he had to drive them back at their homes. Me, Steven and Lily Steven's friend were the only sober because I don't take alcohol. Lily doesn't deal with liquor and my cousin Steven had to stay stable because he had to ride us home. I got asleep on our way home. Steven reached his friends to there homes. As we also reached home safely and sound. I was very exhausted and sleepy. So I had to get a shower and sleep in my bed and cover myself with a white quilt. I'm so excited about the coming of my Mr Perfect Harris.
As you all know it's a Saturday. Your girl has to wake up early. Take a shower, wear her simple nice outfit and put on simple makeup. Also make a ponytail to become more beautiful. I was sitting at outside a huge window at the balcony of my room. I had prepared two seats. The doorbell rang, I had to open for the person who knocked. Steven wasn't at home so I was alone waiting for my tutor. My heart fluttered again as Harris entered. "Good morning Harris! "We exchanged pleasantries. I closed the door as he had entered inside the house. I entered my room first. Harris remained outside. I don't know why he hesitated to enter or maybe he was shy to enter because we were alone in the huge mansion and we were in my huge princess room. I held his hand and made him to sit down on the seat that I had prepared. He stared at me as he was putting on a smile showing me his dimples. "What are you looking at? "I asked. Harris smiled. "I noticed that you wore makeup today." "Do I look weird?" I asked. "You look stunning and you look more beautiful without makeup." Harris replied. "Well I'm sorry about that, let's start from where we ended. I will start sending you some tests on the phone." Harris said.
We discussed economics but our tone was conversational almost friendly. Megan, I brought some additional resources ,he said, setting up his laptop. Well Megan I'm noticing that you are doing great in economics. I'm really happy about it. Your improvement has really showed that I'm not wasting my time. Harris said while smiling. You are also a good teacher that you are the reason that I'm catching up. I replied with a blush on my face that I even never noticed. I just saw Harris smiling and I never knew the reason why. What are you smiling at? I asked. Well it's nothing. He replied. Harris can I ask you something? I ventured. Well sure go ahead. He replied. Did Economics bored you at a time? I asked. Harris leaned back and started reflecting. Well I never liked economics at all when I was your age. I had to put it in mind that no matter what I have to pursue economics since I grew up in a low income household. Economics explained the struggles we faced. His vulnerability surprised me. I never would've guessed, I said. Harris smiled wryly. People assume economics is just numbers, but it's about understanding human behavior.
Our session ended but atleast I knew some of Harris's past in his economics experience. I always love it when I get to have a conversation with Harris. I always feel comfortable and free from the problems of the world.
