Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

*Jax*

I watched as she walked away, my wolf growled, begging to go after her but I couldn't. I noticed as she massaged her shoulder lightly. Maybe she was hurt from being stuffed in the boot of the car. When I told the warriors to bring her back dead or alive, I didn't mean it.

My body still felt ignited from the brief but lasting moment we shared less than five minutes ago. I wanted to kiss her so bad. What was I about her that pulled me?

"Nothing." I thought to myself. I need to get laid as soon as possible. That was the only way I could get her out of my head. Leonora wasn't worthy to share a bed with me and I knew she wouldn't let me. Besides, I'm not desperate. There are a hundreds of women in this pack that would beg to for me to glance at them.

"So what are you going to do about her?" Claire asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. I turned my head to look at her. "I think we should get the rejection over with. Maybe tomorrow."

I scoffed. "She doesn't look like she would accept my rejection. I'll have to make her beg for it. You can have your fun with her." Claire smiled and I could see the gears shift in her head. I really wondered what went on in her little brain. One thing I knew was that she was smart. She would definitely come up with something that would push Leonora to her limits.

"Let's go inside. It's getting quite cold." She said as she pulled me towards the house. "We could watch a movie and stay in." She suggested and I hummed, thinking about it.

I didn't want her around me right now. I wanted to be alone. Well, I'd rather be alone right now. My wolf was a mess with Leonora and I didn't want to put Claire in a funny situation. I couldn't even see my myself being intimate with her.

I needed Leonora.

"Can we do that another night?" I asked and she pouted and huffed in annoyance. I couldn't really care about how she felt. Right now, I needed my space.

I needed Leonora.

I couldn't forget the image of her out of my head. She wore a flimsy shirt with a V-neck which was lopsided because of the way they pulled her out of the car. The moon shone on her graciously and when she spoke back at me, my wolf became erratic. It wanted to mate.

All I could smell was her scent. It consumed me but it wasn't as strong as it used to be. My spy told me that she never shifted while she was in the human world. Maybe that's why her scent wasn't as potent.

We would definitely fix that.

Wait! Why do I care about her wolf? It would even be a good reason as to why I shouldn't mate with her.

"Earth to Jax!" I heard Claire say pulling me out of my thoughts. "I have been talking for a hot minute. Where is your head at?" She questioned me and I pulled her closer, wrapping my arm around her shoulder. A form of distraction.

"In a very short while, Leonora is going to reject me and I'll be free. I'm ecstatic." Claire chuckled, oblivious to the change of topic. "We can watch a movie tomorrow night. I just need to sort some things out tonight." I lied. As much as I trust Claire with my life, I still needed a bit of space to take care of some things like this gnawing feeling in my stomach that has been disturbing me.

Also I couldn't tell her about the girl waiting for me in my room. I knew my wolf would react to Leonora so I prepared myself before hand. And Claire doesn't need to know what I'm going to do with her.

To Claire, I've been celibate for a long time, waiting for my mate. She doesn't know about the girls that crawl into my bed at night. The ones allow me to do whatever I want with them. The ones that would let me call them Leonora and punish them like how I would punish Leonora.

"You know you can talk to me." She said batting her eyelash at me. I pushed the door open and she walked in and I followed suit. "I know you may go soft on her because of your wolf but think about your family's legacy. You can't stain it with her Omega blood."

I rolled my eyes. "You know I wouldn't do that." I said huffing in annoyance. If my father knew about the predicament I was in, he would have laughed his heart out. No Alpha has ever been given an Omega as a mate and I've been the unfortunate one.

This was definitely a sick game the Moon goddess was playing with me.

"That's good. I thought you forgot for a minute. I saw the way you were behaving with her before you slapped her." Claire admitted with her hands crossed on her chest. I didn't think she saw that. "I won't blame you. Your wolf wouldn't understand the situation but next time, watch yourself. You don't know who is watching." She said before turning away and walked towards her room.

I watched her walk to a certain distance before I turned around and walked towards my room.

I opened the door and was greeted with a girl laying on my bed. I couldn't remember her name but I knew what she was here for. She slid down from the bed and walked towards me.

"Kneel." I commanded and she dropped to her knees. "Crawl to the middle of the room." She obediently started crawling. "For today , you can talk to me however you want to. This is the only free pass you get."

"Yes sir."

"It's Jax." I corrected her. This night was going to be a long night.
