Log 11: Elders
Ok caution, do not read if you cannot protect your mind. When dealing with Danzo reflect on any memories and your behavior before, during, and after.
Ok now that the cautions are out of the way let's begin with a disclaimer. I will begin by just talking about facts of things that have happened and things that if my existence hasn't changed anything will happen.
These are just the evils I know were directly committed to Konoha and its allies by Konoha itself.
First, let's go back to when the elders came to power. Hiruzen and Danzo were students of the second Hokage and were tasked to protect the second Hokage during peace talks. They were ambushed and hounded till the point the second decided to sacrifice himself to allow Hiruzen and Danzo to escape with their lives.
During the peacetime between the second and third war the White Fang, Kakashi's father died due to suicide. In the second ninja war, the White Fang made a strong name due to his power and strategic mind making him a great future hokage candidate after Hiruzen retired.
Somehow the White Fang failed a mission. What caused the difficulties in the mission that could make a ninja as powerful as him fail is unknown but sabotage is possible.
What is known is that he decided that instead of completing the mission when his allies were dead to rights he decided that his comrades ' lives were more important than this secret mission. Similar to how the second Hokage believed that the mission to protect him wasn't important but his comrades and the future of the village were more important.
After arriving at the village in a matter of days the whole village knew about the failure of the top-secret mission and how the mission's failure was the fault of White Fangs ditching the mission to save his comrades. Interesting no one mentioned how Danzo or the third Hokage did the same thing.
The next big issue is the loss of Konoha's greatest ally, the Uzumaki clan, from the land of whirlpools. This ninja clan was quite likely at the time the strongest. It took a combined force of the world's strongest ninja villages working together to destroy it.
Interestingly Konoha did nothing to help the Uzumaki clan during the attack or help any of the escaping survivors. As there are only two members of the Uzumaki clan in the city from the land of the whirlpool one is the first Hokage's wife minito and the other is a child and is the next vessel of the Nine Tails.
Interesting for an ally not to house any survivors of the attack. What is even more intriguing is that Konoha did nothing to help the Uzumaki during the attack. There can only be a handful of reasons for this.
Blitzkrieg: Attack that was too swift to react. For this to happen, this attack must be fast and secretive. Every nation needed to secretly ally and make it past the fire nation right next to the land of Whirlpools and through likely secret water navigation paths only known to close allies through the natural defenses of the whirlpools without anyone finding out.
Politics: All the nation's Daimyos, even the fire nation allied together to remove the potential threat to the status quo as the land of the whirlpools was too powerful and might give the other ninja villages ideas.
Backstabbing: Konoha could have given the information and decided to do nothing to defend its ally when it was besieged by all the nations. The only thing Konoha could have gained from sacrificing an innocent village is to keep a good rapport with other villages and to maintain peace and prevent war from breaking out in their land as just recently Konoha's top combat ninja just died and a lot of Konoha military force was still young from the last war.
Secret Hands: it is possible that a secret intelligence force helped with the counterintelligence against the fire nation, prevented the spies from leaking the plan, and found a safe path through the whirlpool. But this force would also have to get the other nations to trust them. They would need to move quickly and need the motivation and a means of convincing the other villages.
Example: like say Madara was alive and his motivation was to remove a threat to his plans. Giving all the Uzumaki fuinjutsu stuff to the other villages could be a good selling point but then people would know Madara was still alive and had intelligence and they would suspect this was a trap by the leaf village.
Now that all male Uzumaki clans have died in the fall of Whirlpool village, only female members have escaped and gone into hiding around the world. There is one left in the village as the First Hokage's wife just died and sealed the nine tails in Minato. One of the most talented ninjas in the village had a crush on this jinjuriki and soon after saved her from a kidnapping attempt starting a relationship.
An interesting fact about jinjuriki is that as a living weapon, they are constantly followed by ANBU ninjas to protect these people from outside influences. It's quite coincidental that as a kid Minato was capable of defeating a ninja that sneaked into Konoha and was able to find out and kidnap the top secret jinjuriki of Leaf Village the top village of the world.
Interestingly before Kushina started dating Minato she had no ties to the village as all her family was dead and she was the last of her clan and was treated negatively as the jinjuriki as well as due to her abrasive personality.
This same boy also lacked a background that could help protect him and raise him to a powerful figure in the village but after dating Kushina was mentored by the third Hokage's disciple Toad Sage Jiraiya.
This kid with no background was capable of high-ranking Jutsu called the thunder god Jutsus. This Jutsu is how he made his name in the third Ninja War. This Jutsu was likely taught by Jiraiya possibly after conversing with the third Hokage or he found it when searching through Kushina's family library. I mention this as it shows the influence the third Hokage has over Minato.
Now the third war has started and the Hokage places his three disciples in a position of military power with no experience in large-scale combat to groom them to be his possible successors. Two of his students had no background and the third who was the granddaughter of the first Hokage's whole clan disappeared by the end of this war. This clan was known to be one of the strongest in history as it helped found Konoha.
The last known male heir instead of staying in the village reproducing his clan dies while under the watch of arguably one of the top five ninjas in the village the third Hokage's student who does a lot of dark secret missions.
This same ninja will work with the secret group of ninjas who complete tasks for the village that even the ANBU ninjas can not know about Known as the root.
This squad of ninjas is the same one that attempted to kill the third Hokage in the future to put Danzo at the top of the village.
The Senju clan, one of the two founding clans of the village, is left with only one surviving female member. She was also traumatized by blood and quit being a ninja.
She then revamps the village's medical program even with the pushback from all the elders even with her war accomplishments, family background, and imperial data before leaving the village.
The third Hokage exhumes the body of the first Hokage for experiments; this testing lasts for a while before The third Hokage puts an end to the experiment. Danzo and the Third Hokage's student Orochimaru continue the experiments in secret.
The best test subjects for the first Hokage's cells are the members of the Senju clan. Orochimaru, who later is found out to have worked with these cells with there help of Danzo even after Herozen closed down the experiments, just so happens to be the teacher and was watching over that last member of the clan.
Isn't that sad it's almost as if they didn't die in the war due to happen stance but were systematically kidnapped and killed for experimentation but no way a village elder like Danzo would kidnap and have members of one of the two most important clans in the village killed like Uchia right? This is called foreshadowing.
It's very sad that Danzo, the leader of the special black ops missions that would have access to all the known missions of Senju clan members and be known to have participated in the first Hokage's cell experiments, couldn't prevent the disappearance of the Senju clan and protect the village's heritage.
The fourth Hokage enters and dies within two years maximum before the third picks back up the hat "temporarily" till the next Hokage can be chosen.
The fourth Hokage with no inherited political background in a world where bloodlines are important was capable of taking the seat of the fourth Hokage.
After taking this seat due to his Military achievements Minato and his wife died in the nine-tailed attack. The tailed beast was set free and Minato was the only one to handle it.
Ok this is where things might change from being fact to possible fact if my existence did not change the future
After fighting back both a physically untouchable enemy (who happened to be his past student) and defeating the nine tails Minato finally died when using the death reaper seal to split and seal the nine-tailed beast in the only available vessel in the whole village, his son. Why there was no backup on the city's policies I digress.
This seal was also one the third Hokage knew from the list of forbidden Jutsus. The third might have chosen not to sacrifice himself instead even if he was older and likely weaker at the time even though he preaches the will of fire and the idea is self-sacrifice for the village especially the old sacrificing for the new it might be because Minato was new as if the third were to sacrifice himself.
Maybe it was believed Minato couldn't handle running the village without him as a political advisor. Maybe the village would be worse off, especially as Minato was a military genius. There is nothing to note that he was a political genius which makes me wonder how he became the Hokage and what the third Hokage was advising the fourth. However, this does not explain the lack of the root and the third Hokage's presence during the rampage.
"When the tree leaves dance, one shall find flames. The fire's shadow will illuminate the village, and once again, tree leaves shall bud anew" These were the third Hokages' last worlds if the future stays the same.
Naruto the fourth Hokage's son was named after his mother Kushina the only known Uzumaki in the village the known wife of the fourth Hokage for his "protection" and anonymity. He was placed in one of the many overfilled orphanages due to the attack of the nine tails which is now sealed in him.
Naruto's identity as the jinchuriki which was a top secret was leaked similar to how the white Fang's top secret information was leaked. The only benefit of his identity as the nine tails but not his identity as the son of the Fourth Hokage, who sacrificed his life for this village, would be to focus the hatred of the village upon him and make him more mailable to cheap carrot-based manipulations.
The fact Naruto receives zero inheritance from his parents or his mother's clan makes one wonder where that property went. Did the village or specific elders take it secretly? The root can't be cheap the run. Who knows other families' pensions might find themselves missing when a ninja dies. What about family friends of Manito wasn't he a greatly loved Hokage with a living teacher and student?
The teacher was even his godfather but he neglected the child. The third Hokage could have found someone, even a trusted civilian, to look after Naruto if he was worried that being raised in a clan could cause him to become a tool of the clan and not the village.
After six years of watching Naruto living in neglect the third Hokage allowed one of his spies in Uchia who happened to be one of the top 4 most talented members of the family in generations to "commit suicide" by throwing himself from a cliff after removing both his eyes knowing they allowed mind control and stabbing and poisoning himself. You know like you do.
His other important uchiha spy was coerced by Danzo to kill his whole clan and the third hokage approved if not happy once Itachi finished killing everyone but his younger brother. All within a year maximum of his best friend's death cause what's a pacifist got to do for peace am I right?
Oh yeah, I forgot these two happy events caused by the elders. Firstly remember that disciple who experimented with the first hokage's cells with the help of Danzo? Yeah, he one of the smartest minds in the whole village was caught experimenting on Fire Nation children.
How you might ask I forget but I can sure as hell assume Danzo was getting anxious that Orochimaru might get the third's permission to run the root after the root attempt to assassinate him or Danzo might have been worried that Orochimaru's public approval was higher than his own for a spot at Hokage even if the man cared more about reaching immortality than his village.
The other event is that at the end of a war "peace delegates" attempted to kidnap the Hyuga clan heiress and failed. To go through with the peace negotiations the delegates wanted a recompense for their lost Shinobi. The third Hokage traded an innocent man to keep a good rapport with other villages and to maintain peace and prevent war from breaking out in their land. Wait, why did the last sentence sound familiar? Hmmmmmm
Well, who cares about sacrificing one man anyway The whole clan is filled with slaves anyway and the village won't do anything about it cause if they help the slaves then they will revolt against the main clan and might no longer sacrifice themselves for the village as the ninjas in the main family has them doing.
Enough about the elders and the atrocities they committed and will commit. The chances are you won't be strong enough to change any of this stuff but at least you can be informed of their true faces. Footnote: Now let's look at spiritual energy. Do you know what is interesting, especially involving the Uchiha? We were just talking about the request for their eyes. The growth of a person's spiritual energy does not affect the progression of the eyes. It is only when a person is emotionally stimulated and survives does their eyes evolve.
