Log 13 Nuclear Power
There is Nuclear Fission and Nuclear Fusion. Fission is the process of splitting heavy atoms into smaller atoms. Fusion is the combining of two light atoms to produce a heavier element.
These produce energy because when splitting or fusing atoms not all the material is used and the remainder material of a neutron is freed. The energy used to hold that bond is now freed.
We have succeeded in drawing a steady source of power from fission using exotic materials like Uranium 235. This is an isotope of uranium 238 so this means it is missing the protons in its core making it far more unstable. The reason we use this exotic metal for nuclear fusion is that it is the only fissile heavy metal isotope that exists in nature.
Technically earth releases create rock and if you can control the composition of the earth you could produce enriched uranium 235. If you can produce 115 pounds or so in a perfect sphere then that is roughly all you need to cause critical mass.
You can use smaller amounts if you have a neutron reflector like lead to reflect the decaying neutrons back into the shell which will bind with the uranium and start a reaction till it hits supercritical.
FUCKING watch yourself doing this. Two groups of some of the "smartest" nuclear physicists f***ed around and found out with a demon core and dosed themselves with lethal Radiation.
If Radiation is ever blue it is Cherenkov radiation and I would write my will if I were you. It's best to test this stuff outside the city a couple of miles bare minimum.
Ok to be honest you probably can't control the material composition of earth release so let's look at Nuclear Fusion. However, this is probably just as unlikely as nuclear as the temperatures and pressures to fuse even the easiest substances like hydrogen are beyond difficult to complete conventionally.
We cheat in our fusion bombs by using nuclear fission to create the temperature and pressure to fuse the fusion material.
In the end, it requires fission to cause the fusion in the bombs but luckily our scientists are building fusion energy generators like that of the sun. However, like the sun they need a lot of heat and pressure as well. Luckily this doesn't need to be an instantaneous explosion
Although I was no nuclear physicist in my past life I at least have a very very shallow understanding of the two types of nuclear fusion generators the tokamak and the stellarator. I have a good idea how one MIGHT and I mean MIGHT be possible with lightning nature change.
The thing is that for these to hit fusion we need to focus a bit more on temperature over pressure cause we are doing this on earth. What we need to get the temperature is 100-150 million C for the fusion to occur and no material can handle this we get rid of the material and heat this plasma in a vacuum suspended by electromagnetism. This is the first hurdle but not impossible to deal with.
The second issue is moving these suspended plasmas in a way that they can slowly build up current and temperature and keep going. A torus a donut shape is the Tokamak design but due to its shape the the magnetic field is strong on the inside and weak on the out allowing the positively charged particles to move upwards and the negative ones downwards.
If we apply a twist however then the particles of plasma vary the direction of up and down depending on the location but will stay within the chamber. The Tokamak design focuses on inducing an electric current in plasmas itself. This produces a magnetic field around the plasma itself which provides the twist.
This might be possible by manipulating the directional movement of thunder releasing, however, given the speed at which the plasma is moving this is probably not possible to control but it is still far more possible than studying and building up the infrastructure to build nuclear weapons in secret.
The greatest downside to this is that the energy production time is limited due to the ever-twisting plasma and current. This might be mitigated by controlling plasma directly inside of the inducing current which applies the ever-growing twist to the plasma.
The second and longer-lasting one is mathematically far less feasible. The computation power to produce is insane. The shape of the stellarator is a mix between a torus and a Mobius strip. This uses an external magnetic field to apply the twist to the plasma. It is just all and all more difficult to control.
I would suggest that you do the Tokamak design because the design, unlike the Stellarator, is somewhat self-confining when running properly. This means that once the magnet current applied to control its shape is removed, the Plasma inside due to its motion and shape can produce a magnetic field that can keep the plasma in that shape for some time.
This self-confining nature will likely be the sole reason nuclear fusion CAN BE POSSIBLE if not unlikely due to all the minor and major things my explanation is missing like how you get ahold of isotopes of hydrogen called deuterium and tritium and get them to temp before injecting them into the tokamak. Maybe another shadow clone can work on that but the number one issue needs to be addressed.
This reactor needs to reach temperatures of 100-150 million C. Do you know how hot lighting is? 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit the amount of chakra needed to convert to energy needed to hit that temperature is insane. If one can do this, why do you even need to make a fusion reactor?
If you have any ideas on how you can break physics over your knee and can come up with an idea to do this please make a note here because I know that there is a "nuclear release" in kumogakure as part of the Yakimara clan. How in the hell can they produce any radiation? I am horrified at what is going on. Maybe they are just straight up creating the reaction out of chakra. Given people can create matter and E=MC^2 states matter and energy are not really different from one another and I guess cause if converted from chakra it will not break the laws of thermodynamics but I can only imagine the chakra cost and I am concerned with how cheap some of it is.
Training
Using vacuum release you need to learn to create a vacuum chamber in the shape of a torus. Using hydrogen gas caught from the hydrolysis to fill the vacuum and run the current through the hydrogen gas. The resistance of the gas will increase the temperature of the hydrogen turning it into a plasma. Once a temperature of 150 million C is reached fusion begins and heat is released from the plasma as the hydrogen bonds and creates helium.

I am going to talk about a stupidly cheap means of silently killing people. The idea of sealing a poisonous impossible-to-detect gas like carbon dioxide in a sealing scroll.
