Chapter 31 - Beauxbatons School of Magic

After thinking briefly, Lynn decided to sell some of the alchemical products he had crafted. He went to the reception desk and pulled out a dozen cloaks from the canvas bag tied around his waist. All of these cloaks were engraved with alchemical symbols, making them defensive alchemical products, similar in function to the anti-curse gloves invented by the Weasley twins in the original books.

After evaluation, the clerk offered Lynn 25 gold Galleons for each cloak, and Lynn agreed.

After selling the cloaks, Lynn took out an Anti-Magic Stone engraved with an alchemical symbol. This was a failed product that had resulted from his use of the Anti-Magic Stone that Professor Green had given him, which he had attempted to use to refine an Anti-Magic Scepter. The scepter could not be activated by injecting magical power, but instead had to be manually broken to release the power of the Stone.

As such, the value of this failed Anti-Magic Scepter might not even be as good as the prototype of the Anti-Magic Stone that the professor had given him!

Naturally, it was useless for Lynn to keep this failed alchemical product, but the Anti-Magic Stone was difficult to obtain on the market, so Lynn planned to exchange it here, hoping to receive something worthwhile in return.

Professor Green had no objections. He had little use for an item whose power had decreased due to a failure in alchemy.

Soon, a rather sinister potion master arrived at the stall where Lynn stood, hoping to trade a vial of elixir for the failed Anti-Magic Scepter in Lynn's hands.

The vial of elixir was sealed inside a crystal pendant that shone with a charming golden light under the shop's illumination. Its ornamental value far exceeded the elixir's actual worth, given that the quantity was small—so much so that it wasn't worth much more than the crystal that contained it.

However, Lynn was happy to make the trade with the potion master.

After completing the transaction, Lynn bought a dozen alchemical products from various stalls with the gold Galleons and then left the shop with Professor Green.

"We'll find a place to rest for the night. Tomorrow, we'll visit my alma mater, the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. You'll definitely be interested in it!" said Professor Green.

The two of them then rented two rooms at an inn on Magic Gold Street and rested for the night.

The next day, Professor Green took Lynn to the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, where they Apparated.

Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is one of the three most prestigious magic schools in Europe. It is located in the French Pyrenees. The academy has a majestic mansion that amazes visitors, surrounded by vast meadows and mountain landscapes created by magic.

It is said that the magnificent castle and grounds of the ancient school of magic were partially funded by the great alchemists Nicolas and Perenal Flamel during their youthful visits to Beauxbatons. The massive fountain on campus is named after the LeMay couple.

This fountain seems to have restoration and beautifying properties.

It is clear that this fountain is an alchemical product.

Beauxbatons Academy has strong achievements in alchemy, and Professor Green's enlightenment in alchemical knowledge also took place there, as he graduated from Beauxbatons after studying under Nico Flamel.

When Professor Green and Lynn arrived, a tall figure had been waiting for them for quite some time.

Standing before them was Madame Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. She smiled and approached upon seeing them.

"Ah, Mr. Green, I'm so happy to have you back at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic," she said, shaking hands with the professor.

Professor Green returned the smile and said, "This time, I'm bringing my student to visit my alma mater. We'll also be meeting my teacher later."

Hearing this, Madame Maxime's smile widened. "You're going to see Mr. Nico Flamel? And what's this young man's name? He must be quite extraordinary to have a teacher like you!"

Lynn politely greeted Madame Maxime. "My name is Lynn Rolle. There's nothing special about me—only that my teacher has appreciated my enthusiasm for alchemy."

Naturally, Madame Maxime didn't take his modest words seriously. She shouted toward the school, "Miss Delacour? Could you please attend to our guests from Beauxbatons?"

As Madame Maxime's powerful voice echoed, a beautiful figure emerged from inside Beauxbatons Academy. A girl with silver hair and skin as pale as moonlight, exuding an aura of magic all around her.

"She's… part Veela?" Professor Green and Lynn, both determined men, naturally didn't lose their composure in the face of her charm.

Madame Maxime nodded and introduced her: "This is one of our most talented students here at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Her name is Fleur Delacour. She will guide you during your visit. I hope you both have a wonderful experience."

As the headmistress of Beauxbatons, Madame Maxime could not accompany them the entire time.

At that moment, Miss Fleur Delacour stepped forward and graciously greeted Professor Green. "Hello, Mr. Green, I am Fleur Delacour. You can call me Fleur."

Professor Green nodded slightly and said, "Then I'll be in your care."

Fleur then led the two of them into Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

During their tour of Beauxbatons, Fleur briefly introduced the academy's current state. In the minds of Beauxbatons students, alchemy is the second most important subject after Charms, and nearly every student from first to second year has some knowledge of alchemy.

"Miss Delacour, Madame Maxime said you are one of the most talented students here, so I wonder what your achievements are in alchemy," Lynn, who had been listening, asked with curiosity.

At that moment, Fleur carried a bit of arrogance. She put her hands on her hips and proudly declared, "My alchemy is by no means weaker than that of my peers!"

Hearing this, Lynn was a little surprised and his curiosity grew stronger. "Miss Delacour, I'm two years younger than you. I wonder if I could compete with you in alchemical knowledge."

At that moment, Lynn didn't realize that Fleur might be exaggerating. He only wanted to learn from each other in a serious manner.
