Crack! Crack!
With the seals undone, the restraints on Kibutsuji Muzan shattered, dissolving into nothingness. The prison doors disintegrated as well, vanishing into the void.
Moments later, Muzan stood before Kitaro, a dark grin spreading across his face.
"I... I've finally escaped that accursed seal!!"
Muzan exclaimed with a mix of rage and euphoria. The years spent sealed away had pushed him to the brink of madness. His attempts to erode Kitaro's will had, in turn, caused significant erosion of his own.
"Not only that," Muzan seethed, "that wretch must have tampered with the seal to constantly torment me before!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"I, Kibutsuji Muzan, have finally broken free from that hellish prison!"
As his triumphant laughter echoed, Kitaro's calm voice interrupted him. "Enough. If you're alive, leave. This is my body—you're not welcome here."
Muzan's laughter stopped abruptly as he locked eyes with Kitaro. "Leave? To what—certain death?"
"Do you think I'm unaware of your little scheme? The moment I step outside, you'll expose me to sunlight and obliterate me."
Then, a wicked grin appeared on Muzan's face. "But now I see… the very thing I've sought for centuries is right in front of me. Do you think I'll just walk away?"
Muzan's quest for immortality was always hindered by the sun, a fatal flaw he sought to overcome. He had spread his blood far and wide, creating demons in the hope that one of them would evolve to withstand sunlight. If he could devour such a being, he would achieve perfection.
And now, standing before him was Uchiha Kitaro, a perfect specimen—a being who had consumed his blood and yet could walk in sunlight without issue. Kitaro's very existence was the answer Muzan had sought for centuries.
Moreover, Kitaro possessed extraordinary power. Muzan knew that devouring him would grant him eternal life and unparalleled strength.
But here, in this realm within Kitaro's body, the battle would hinge on spiritual willpower—an area where Muzan, with his centuries of life, considered himself invincible.
Swish!
Muzan's arm extended rapidly, transforming into a whip aimed straight at Kitaro's eyes.
Snap!
Just as the attack was about to land, Kitaro caught it effortlessly.
"Predictable. I knew you'd do this. But don't think I released you out of kindness. Since you've made the first move, I won't hold back either."
With a powerful tug, Kitaro pulled Muzan toward him.
"What?!"
Muzan, overwhelmed by the force, was yanked off balance and sent hurtling toward Kitaro.
BAM!
Kitaro's punch exploded against Muzan's head, causing it to burst like a watermelon.
Splat, splat!
In mere moments, Muzan's neck regenerated, and a new head emerged.
"You... Impossible!" Muzan's disbelief was evident.
In this domain, Muzan believed himself invincible. Yet, Kitaro had just shattered his head with ease.
"Nothing impossible about it," Kitaro replied. "When I was twelve, I sealed you away. Beating you now is hardly a surprise."
"And don't think the memories you've seen are real. What you've witnessed is merely what I allowed you to see."
As an Uchiha, Kitaro excelled in illusions. While he couldn't cast Infinite Tsukuyomi like Kaguya, ensnaring Muzan in a personal genjutsu was child's play.
"You mean... everything was fake?!"
Kitaro smirked, licking his lips. "I know you want to devour me. The feeling's mutual—I want to devour you too."
"Let's end this. If you can't kill me, you'll never leave this prison."
"Then I'll kill you and take everything you possess!" Muzan's voice was icy as he activated his full combat form. Nine tendrils sprouted from his back, and eight more extended from his legs—his ultimate battle state.
Though he suspected Kitaro had ulterior motives, Muzan had always intended to devour him. Now, their battle began within this mental realm.
Kitaro channeled his Conqueror's Haki, attempting to imbue his limbs with it.
In this spiritual world, Conqueror's Haki was his only weapon. The recent mastery of this power was precisely why Kitaro dared to confront Muzan here.
Initially, controlling it was challenging, but as the fight progressed, he grew more adept.
Boom!
With a devastating punch, a massive shockwave erupted from Kitaro's fist.
Crash!
"ARGHHHH!!"
Muzan screamed in agony as his body exploded.
But almost instantly, he regenerated.
"What is this power?!" Muzan's voice trembled with fear.
It was a sensation he hadn't felt since his battle with Yoriichi—an overwhelming threat to his very existence.
"It's the power that will kill you," Kitaro replied coldly.
Boom!
Another punch, imbued with Conqueror's Haki, struck Muzan.
The sheer force left him nowhere to hide.
"AAAAHHHH!"
Muzan's body exploded again, and he howled in pain as the shockwaves wreaked havoc.
Each time he regenerated, Kitaro attacked, wearing him down.
Time passed. Muzan's once-indomitable body could no longer recover. Emaciated and frail, he resembled a withered husk.
Kitaro smirked as he delivered the final blow.
"Goodbye, Muzan."
