Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Technological Core

Luo Luo, having organized his tasks, eagerly began to check the technological core in his mind. This core was his foundation for survival. The influence of his divine authority and divine position on his faith race was merely a passive function of the technological core; its active functions were also incredibly powerful, encompassing all basic and advanced technologies from Earth. It could even study the unique magical technologies and faith skills of the Earth Source Continent to enrich the technological core.

When Luo Luo awakened, the technological core presented a more intuitive display.

Item Name: Technological Core

Item Level: Origin (Levels range from low to high: Planetary, Stellar, Black Hole, Cosmic, Origin, Civilization)

Item Abilities:

Your followers can fully learn the following characteristics:

1. Physics (Light, Force, Magnetism)

2. Chemistry (Acids, Bases)

3. Material Science (Steel, Gold, Silver)

Special Buildings,: Fully Automated Robot Factory, Civilization Laboratory, Weapon Testing Ground, Biochemical Cultivation Room, Space Shielding Device.

Description: The wealth of a civilization is a coveted divine object for all.

The entire interface of the technological core resembled a skill tree, with various fundamental sciences from Earth extending upwards, constantly upgrading. The depth of knowledge was also on the rise. It could be said that Luo Luo wouldn't have to worry about becoming a supreme god.

Among the special buildings, the Fully Automated Robot Factory was lit up, while the others appeared gray. They required special conditions, and each special building could be upgraded into higher-level buildings with different focuses, which meant Luo Luo needed to accumulate resources bit by bit.

Once the technological core was activated, Luo Luo understood all of its functions. He could integrate technologies from other civilizations to enhance his own and continue advancing into high-tech fields that had not yet been developed on Earth, researching the laser guns, high-energy bombs, and electromagnetic cannons he had longed for in his previous life. This would address the shortcomings of technological civilizations in the later stages, as it was impossible to solve everything with a single peace bomb.

Deterrent weapons were necessary, but conventional weapons also could not be overlooked. Moreover, in comparison to the constantly evolving biological species, technological items were still not comprehensive enough.

Technology and magic were vastly different, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.

First, magic. On the Earth Source Continent, all faith races practiced magic. Even the martial arts that trained the physical body were merely contracted magical energy.

Thus, the higher the level of a faith race, the more powerful it was. The judgment of strength depended solely on the amount of energy they could control and absorb. At a certain level, conventional technological weapons posed little threat to them; hitting them was extremely difficult. Moreover, high-powered missile weapons would also detonate upon encountering energy collisions, so purely technological weapons would be somewhat ineffective against powerful faith races in the later stages.

Some might argue that peace bombs could easily solve the problem due to their wide explosion range; even if they dodged quickly, they couldn't escape that range. While this is not incorrect, it must be noted that among magical races, high-level individuals are often fewer in number, usually just one or two, yet their single-target lethality could rival an entire army of ordinary people. Using a massive weapon for just one or two enemies is not a leader's wisdom. Furthermore, against close-range ambushes and covert assassinations, such approaches would be completely unfeasible.

Of course, there's no need to rush. After discussing the advantages of magic over technology, let's talk about the advantages of technology over magic. It is well-known that technology has a great degree of replicability. This means that if more powerful weapons are developed, they can be quickly distributed to the majority of people. However, the practice of magic and faith cannot be so brutally simplified; it requires a step-by-step effort to climb upwards. Even geniuses need sufficient time to practice.

In short, technological power resembles necromancy. It wins in quantity in the early stages and in quality in the later stages.

But what makes it even more powerful than necromancy is that the achievements of technological civilization are universal. Even the weakest LV1 level of faith races can easily manufacture powerful weapons. This is something that even gods of the undead, who possess god-level magic like the Plague of Undeath, cannot achieve.

What Luo Luo needed to consider was how to quickly research the technologies within the core and convert them into tangible results. At the same time, he needed to study the magical energy and skills of the Earth Source Continent to integrate both with technology. Only by combining the strengths of both could he create a truly invincible army, powerful and without obvious weaknesses or flaws. This would forge a unique technological deity.

"First, I need a special building: the Civilization Laboratory. The prerequisite for this is that my divine position must be a demigod, and it will consume 1 drop of divine power. I cannot initiate this scientific endeavor yet. For now, I can only focus on farming—or rather, I should say, mining."

Although the Fully Automated Robot Factory can only produce one robot per day at the moment, it can be upgraded.

Special Building Machine: Fully Automated Robot Factory

Level: LV 1 (LV 2 requires 1 million faith points; LV 3 requires 10 million faith points; LV 4 requires 100 million faith points; LV 5 requires 1 billion faith points)

Production Capacity: 1/day (LV 2: 10/day; LV 3: 100/day; LV 4: 1000/day; LV 5: 10,000/day)

Description: This is a miraculous building belonging to the only faith race, the Mechanic Race, under the God of Technology.

Now, he just had to wait for today's faith point settlement. He had no idea how shocking it would be until he checked. Although everyone's initial faith race was around 100 people, the faith points obtained by other deities fluctuated based on the degree of faith and the focus of the prayer rituals. These were not received daily. To become a preparatory deity, one needed to accumulate a small amount of divine power, equivalent to 10,000 faith points. Under ideal conditions, they would need over half a month in the divine domain (which is less than a day in reality). This was already very talented and indicated mastery of the methods of faith harvesting.

Luo Luo, on the other hand, needed only one day, which was the benefit of having a constant faith level.

What a long day it was! Ever since he had given commands to the robots, he had been counting down, waiting for the next day to arrive. At the same time, he immersed himself in fantasies of becoming a god and ancestor on the Earth Source Continent.

"Ding. Today's faith points have been credited."

Upon hearing this sound, Luo Luo immediately became excited and began to refine his first drop of divine power. It was the early morning hours. With a wave of comfortable tremors, Luo Luo officially stepped into the era of divine cultivation.
