Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Breaking the Wall

Months passed as Raditz waged his one-man war against Frieza's empire, methodically dismantling outposts and erasing the remnants of Frieza's forces. Stories of his exploits spread like wildfire among the ranks, describing a lone warrior of enormous size and unparalleled power. Whispers of "the rogue Saiyan" circulated, sowing fear and confusion among the scattered survivors.

On Namek, Vegeta moved swiftly, ruthlessly annihilating Namekian villages to claim their dragon balls. Between battles, rumors reached him through intercepted chatter. A Saiyan was out there, wreaking havoc across Frieza's holdings.

"A Saiyan?" Vegeta murmured, his voice laced with disbelief and curiosity.

He didn't consider Raditz immediately. To Vegeta, the low-class warrior had perished long ago on Earth. But the notion of another Saiyan—one strong enough to tear through Frieza's empire—made his blood boil with anticipation.

"No matter," he thought. "If this Saiyan survives, I'll deal with them once I've become immortal."

With his mind focused solely on the dragon balls, Vegeta brushed aside further consideration of the mysterious Saiyan.

Far from Namek, Raditz stood in solitude on a desolate world, surrounded by the rubble of his latest conquest. His training had been relentless, pushing his body to the brink of destruction and beyond. He had grown unimaginably strong since the day he set foot on Namek, yet he now felt an invisible ceiling blocking his progress.

"This wall…" Raditz muttered. "No matter how hard I push, I can't break past it. My power needs something more—a catalyst."

He thought of his Oozaru form, the primal transformation that had once driven him to near madness. Months of training had given him control over the giant ape, but the thought of harnessing its raw power in his base form intrigued him.

"If I can pull the strength of the Oozaru into my body… my base form will ascend to a level Frieza himself would fear," he resolved.

Under the light of an artificial moon created from his own ki, Raditz transformed into the Oozaru. His massive body towered over the barren landscape, his roar shaking the planet. The ground beneath him cracked and splintered as his power surged to unimaginable heights.

This time, Raditz didn't lose himself to the transformation. His mind remained sharp, focused on his goal.

With deliberate control, he began to funnel the energy of the Oozaru into his base form. The process was grueling, the overwhelming power threatening to consume him. His muscles burned, his veins throbbed, and his ki fluctuated wildly.

"This power is mine to command," Raditz growled through gritted teeth. "I won't let it control me!"

For days, he repeated the process, each attempt bringing him closer to mastery. Slowly but surely, he felt the primal energy of the Oozaru become one with his base form.

On the tenth day of his training, Raditz stood amidst the remnants of his artificial moon, his body radiating with an aura that crackled like lightning.

His power level before this breakthrough had already been monumental, surpassing 150,000. But now, as he stood in the aftermath of his grueling training, his scouter—long discarded—would have been unable to quantify his strength.

"This is it," Raditz said, his voice steady, his gaze fierce. "I've broken through the wall. My base form is no longer just a foundation—it's a weapon."

He clenched his fists, feeling the synergy of his Saiyan instincts and the raw, primal energy he had tamed. His aura burned brighter than ever, the flames of his power visible from orbit.

On one of Frieza's remaining strongholds, whispers of Raditz's power grew louder. Commander Haxor, a ruthless general, reviewed reports of his forces' annihilation.

"This Saiyan… he's unlike any we've encountered before," Haxor said, his voice laced with unease.

A subordinate hesitated before speaking. "Sir, his last known power level was measured at 150,000—far beyond anything we can handle. And now… the readings are off the charts."

Haxor slammed his fist onto the console. "I don't care how strong he is! If we let him continue, Lord Frieza will make us pay the price. Mobilize all remaining forces. We'll make an example of him."

As Raditz stood atop the rocky plateau, he gazed into the void of space, his mind clear. He thought of Goku, his brother, and the battles yet to come. He knew Goku's path would lead him to Frieza, where he would attain the legendary transformation of the Super Saiyan.

"Goku… I leave Frieza to you," Raditz said quietly. "But to make sure you succeed, I'll wipe out everything else. The galaxy won't have to fear Frieza's army anymore."

Raditz's focus turned inward. His power was immense, but he knew there was still more to unlock. He began strategizing his next phase of training.

"The Oozaru's strength was just the beginning," he mused. "If I can channel that power into more refined techniques, I'll break through even greater barriers. The Super Saiyan… it's a multiplier, but what good is it without a strong base?"

With his resolve renewed, Raditz prepared to continue his campaign, erasing every remnant of Frieza's forces from the galaxy. He knew that only by pushing himself to the brink could he ensure his brother's success and secure his own place in the Saiyan legacy.
