Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Encircled by Shadows

Raditz stood at the center of a barren wasteland on a remote planet, his arms crossed as his eyes scanned the horizon. He could feel the rumbling energy of incoming ships before he even saw them. Slowly, the sky darkened, filled with hundreds of Frieza's ships descending like a swarm of locusts. The planet's surface trembled under the weight of the forces closing in.

Commander Haxor sat in the lead vessel, staring at the monitor displaying Raditz's imposing figure. "He's alone, but don't be fooled. This is no ordinary Saiyan," Haxor barked to his subordinates. "Surround him. Overwhelm him. Leave nothing of this planet intact if you must."

Raditz closed his eyes, letting the familiar roar of the approaching engines and the distant hum of battle preparations wash over him. He felt his energy burn brightly within him, an inferno waiting to be unleashed.

"So, this is what Frieza sends to stop me," he muttered. "Hundreds of ships, thousands of soldiers... all for one Saiyan. Pathetic."

He uncrossed his arms and planted his feet firmly in the ground, his aura flaring to life in a fiery blaze. "I'll test what I've learned. These fools are nothing but stepping stones for my growth."

The ships stopped just outside the atmosphere, unloading hordes of Frieza's soldiers into the skies. From the ground, it looked like the heavens themselves were filled with their forces. The soldiers hovered in neat formations, their scouters locked onto Raditz as they began charging their ki blasts.

Commander Haxor's voice boomed over the comms. "Fire! Don't give him time to move!"

The sky lit up as hundreds of energy blasts rained down, converging on Raditz's position. The planet's surface erupted in explosions, kicking up a storm of dust and debris. The soldiers cheered, assuming their target was obliterated.

When the dust cleared, their cheers died.

Raditz stood in the exact same spot, completely unscathed. His aura had expanded into a swirling dome of energy, effortlessly deflecting the attacks. A smirk spread across his face.

"My turn," he said.

Raditz disappeared from sight, moving so quickly that even the scouters couldn't track him. Before the soldiers could react, Raditz reappeared in their midst, his palm glowing with a concentrated orb of ki.

"Let's see how this technique works," he said, thrusting his hand forward. The orb expanded into a blinding wave of energy, consuming dozens of soldiers in an instant.

As more soldiers swarmed him, Raditz began cycling through the techniques he had mastered:

Double Spiral Barrage: Raditz launched two spiraling beams of energy that tore through enemy formations like drills.

Vacuum Strike: A technique that condensed air pressure and ki into a shockwave, sending soldiers hurtling into space.

Meteor Surge: Raditz propelled himself through the air, crashing into clusters of enemies with the force of a falling star.

Haxor watched the carnage unfold on his monitors, his face growing paler with each passing second.

"Impossible," he muttered. "He's outnumbered a hundred to one, and yet…"

One of his officers hesitated before speaking. "Sir, his power level… it's over 200,000 now. No, wait… it's climbing."

Haxor clenched his fists. "We can't let this monster reach us. All ships, fire everything! Don't stop until the planet is nothing but rubble!"

Raditz's gaze shifted skyward as the ships unleashed a torrent of energy blasts. The atmosphere itself seemed to boil as the combined firepower descended toward him.

"A bombardment this big… they want to erase the entire planet," Raditz mused. "Let's see if I can handle it."

He planted his feet and raised both hands, channeling all of his ki into a defensive technique he had been perfecting. The air around him shimmered as a massive, dome-like barrier formed, absorbing and redirecting the energy blasts.

Despite the overwhelming attack, Raditz held firm. His muscles strained, his aura flared, and the ground beneath him cracked and collapsed. As the final blast struck, Raditz roared, pushing his barrier outward in a massive shockwave that tore through the skies, destroying several of the ships in orbit.

Breathing heavily, Raditz lowered his arms, his eyes glowing with newfound determination. The intense battle had pushed him beyond his limits once again, breaking the invisible wall he had encountered in his training.

His scouter would have read his power level as 250,000, but the scouters of Haxor's forces only registered error messages before exploding.

As the remnants of Frieza's forces fled, Raditz stood alone, his gaze fixed on the stars. He thought of the battles yet to come and the path he had chosen.

"I've crippled Frieza's forces, but the tyrant himself remains," Raditz thought. "I leave him to Kakarot. My role is to ensure Frieza's empire never recovers."

His mind drifted to his newfound strength. The techniques he had mastered and the energy he had drawn from his Oozaru form had made him a force unlike any other Saiyan.

"This is just the beginning," Raditz said to himself. "If I can push my base power this far, the transformations to come will be unstoppable. For now, I'll keep climbing. The stars will remember the name Raditz."

With his resolve renewed, Raditz took to the skies, leaving the shattered planet behind. His next destination was unknown, but one thing was certain: the galaxy would tremble before him.
