Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Clash

Although he hadn't stepped out of the Mizukage building earlier, Yagura must have gained a rough understanding of the battlefield. Yet, now that he stood face-to-face with Deidara, his composure was unnervingly calm, as if the person before him wasn't even worth his attention.

Deidara didn't waste time. With the Mist Village crawling with unpredictable variables—including Obito and Black Zetsu lurking in the shadows—it was best to wrap things up quickly.

"C2 – Swarming Wasps!"

A swarm of clay hornets buzzed forth from Deidara's palms. Each was roughly the size of a fist, their tails equipped with sharp stingers capable of piercing like a proper weapon. But their true peculiarity wasn't just their size or stingers.

What made them special was their sleek, aerodynamic design and the high-frequency vibrations of their wings—far beyond the capabilities of ordinary hornets.

"Wind Release: Typhoon Surge!"

Yagura unleashed an A-rank jutsu right off the bat. This was the advantage of being a Jinchūriki—nearly limitless chakra provided by his Tailed Beast allowed him to fire off powerful techniques with abandon.

Whoosh!

The ensuing winds howled like a hurricane, ripping trees out by the roots and sending houses tumbling into the air like scraps of paper. This windstorm's intensity far surpassed the one Yagura had once used to disperse Kirigakure's Hidden Mist Technique.

Deidara's clay birds lost all stability, swirling helplessly in the storm as they struggled to maintain any maneuverability or control.

"Now!"

Yagura's eyes glinted. Deidara was practically a sitting duck at this moment. Without hesitation, he formed seals again.

"Wind Release: Infinite Breakthrough!"

With his unparalleled chakra reserves, Yagura's second technique expanded outward in a massive wave, blanketing Deidara's position with a ferocious storm.

Wait, what?!

To Yagura's shock, Deidara's clay hornets, despite the storm's fury, were barely fazed. The resilient insects pushed through the typhoon, forcing Yagura to divert his attack from Deidara to defend himself.

"What the… these hornets!"

Even his Infinite Breakthrough, which could knock over giant summoning beasts, only pushed the hornets back momentarily before they buzzed forward again. Yagura leapt back, deciding to avoid the incoming swarm for now.

Oh?

Watching from a distance, Sasori's analytical eyes lit up.

"That brat… he's improved."

These hornets were the result of Deidara's latest experimentation. Their streamlined bodies and vibrating wings gave them exceptional resistance to wind and water techniques—precisely the types of jutsu Yagura excelled at.

Water Release: Water–Heavens Convergence

Realizing wide-range attacks wouldn't work, Yagura shifted tactics. From his mouth, he unleashed countless water needles, each more lethal than an ordinary shinobi's senbon. The needles shot through the air, piercing and destroying a significant portion of the hornet swarm.

Deidara wasn't surprised. Using a mere diversion to take down an opponent of this caliber was nothing more than wishful thinking. If he wanted to win, he'd need something more potent.

"C2 – Dragon Swarm!"

Rather than deploying his C2 Enhanced Dragon—a creature he could summon only once per battle—Deidara opted for smaller clay dragons. He couldn't afford to waste his trump card until Yagura entered his Tailed Beast form.

"Hah! These dragons are even less troublesome than your hornets!"

"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"

Yagura released a high-pressure water jet from his mouth. The attack arced through the air in a perfect semi-circle, slicing through Deidara's clay dragons with ease.

"I know," Deidara smirked, unfazed. "That's why I prepared a surprise for you."

As the dragons fell, their split-open bellies spilled dozens of tiny clay parasites. The dragons had merely been a decoy, the real threat was hidden within.

"So many of them?!" Yagura's expression finally shifted.

"Wind Release: Infinite—"

"Not so fast!"

Deidara didn't give him the chance to counter. He detonated the parasites prematurely, the explosion generating a massive cloud of smoke that temporarily obscured Yagura's vision.

"Be careful, Mizukage-sama!" someone from below shouted.

"C1 – Multi-Serpent Bind!"

From above, a colossal clay serpent shot down, coiling tightly around Yagura before exploding in a deafening blast.

Boom!

When the smoke cleared, Yagura stood unharmed, his Tailed Beast Chakra Cloak shimmering around him like armor. Such an attack was little more than an inconvenience.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Barrage!"

Five massive water dragons roared forth, spiraling toward Deidara. Calmly, Deidara detonated a clay bomb ahead of him, using the explosion to propel himself backward on his clay bird.

"Yagura, you've underestimated me!"

"Now I've forced your first form out. It's time for the real show!"

"Art… is an explosion! Hah!"

Before Yagura could react, Deidara's clay Spider Queen—unnoticed until now—crawled out from behind and detonated in a blinding flash. The explosion left a massive crater in its wake.

Yagura roared in fury. Smoke cleared to reveal his fully transformed state—a colossal turtle with spiked shells and three tails thrashing wildly. He had skipped his partial Tailed Beast transformation entirely, entering his full Three-Tails form.

"Perfect," Deidara muttered, excitement glinting in his eyes.

"C2: Enhanced Dragon!"

A massive clay dragon, nearly as large as the Three-Tails itself, emerged with a thunderous roar. Its body was brimming with destructive power, promising devastation with every movement.

The battlefield trembled as both titans stared each other down, their presence overwhelming all who watched.

"Art… is an explosion!" Deidar a grinned maniacally, his hands already moving to unleash his next attack.
