Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Cheater of the cheaters

After reading the skill descriptions, Kairos finally decided to escape the fallen tunnel. He stood up, his movements cautious in the cramped space. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decay. A large boulder held the ceiling aloft, providing a small window of opportunity for escape. Kairos knew that to break free, he needed to clear the debris. Fortunately, he now had a method to achieve this.

"Okay, let's install Telekinesis. After that, provide me with that basic Origin Grade Technique."

"Yes."

Kairos felt an unusual sensation, as if something ethereal was being integrated into his body. He recalled that [BODY RECONSTRUCTION] focused on reconstructing his soul to accommodate skills. Suddenly, he felt a surge of energy, and he sensed that he could move objects with his mind.

Kairos concentrated on a nearby rock, focusing all his energy on it. He maintained his gaze for several minutes, his eyes fixed intently on the rock. Finally, after 30 minutes of unwavering focus, the rock began to rise. However, it fell back down the next second. Kairos's concern grew, realizing that at this rate, he wouldn't be able to escape anytime soon.

"Yes."

"Argh!" Suddenly, just after the notification ended, Kairos was assaulted with an unimaginable headache. After some time, it faded away, leaving a gasping Kairos.

"Ha...ah...ha... Hey Codex, Why didn't you tell me that it will be this painful?" Kairos's voice was laced with frustration and exhaustion.

< I... am sorry Master! I forgot this minor detail, that the information about Technique Scripture would be directly transmitted to your brain.>

Kairos was speechless. He had almost experienced hell due to Codex's incompetence. However, he knew arguing wouldn't achieve anything. If he wanted to become strong, he had to endure this pain repeatedly.

"Sigh... You know, okay I will deal with this horrendous torture, but won't my brain explode if I would install these scriptures incessantly?" Kairos's concern was genuine, and he awaited Codex's response.

Kairos was worried because even till now, he hadn't assimilated any other bloodlines and was human by form, who was just slightly advantageous. If someone else could hear his thoughts, they would surely try to strangle him. He had obtained such an overpowered item, and yet he was saying he was just slightly advantageous.

Kairos's lips twitched. Was the ring mocking him? He asked to confirm, "Hey Codex, are you trying to mock me?"
