15 days later,
Kairos woke up from his deep slumber, feeling like he had slept for an eternity. He tried to move his limbs, but they felt heavy, as if weighed down by an unseen force. He observed that he was trapped inside something hard, oval in shape, its surface etched with mysterious markings.
He used his body to break the thing, experiencing its extreme hardness. After trying for some time, a small, hairline crack appeared on the hard material. He applied more force, and after some time, he finally broke free from the oval thing. He fell face-first, his body feeling like it had never moved before. But somehow, he managed to see and found himself trapped inside a large, multicolored cocoon filled with a sticky, gelatinous liquid.
He tried to remember what had happened before he fell unconscious. He could recall being on the way to his death. For a fleeting second, a strange, unsettling thought appeared in his head, but that possibility was thrown out after he saw he was still trapped inside debris blocked by the boulder.
He then observed his body and saw that he was naked. He was getting confused, until he heard...
< Hello, Master! How are you feeling now? Is your new body fine? >
He was startled to hear a girlish, melodious voice. He checked his surroundings to find someone...
< Master! I am here on your finger >
He checked his fingers and couldn't find anything strange except a silver ring, which was filled with intricate, swirling markings. He was startled for a second, as he could remember well when he put the ring on his finger; at that time, it was plain in structure with no attractiveness...
< Hey, it is rude! Haven't you heard Beauty lies in simplicity.>
This time, he finally understood from where the sound was coming. He tried to take off the ring, but however he tried, he couldn't separate it from him, like it had become a part of his body.
< Don't waste your energy, Master! It is useless; you can't separate me from yourself. We are connected now. Even if you cut your finger, I would appear again with your finger. No one can separate us until your death.>
He didn't believe the strange ring, which could speak inside his head. Instead, he took a critical action; he found a blade nearby and cut his finger, although he felt a searing, excruciating pain. He thought he had separated the ring from him.
< Hahaha, Host! You really cut your finger to check if I was lying or not. I liked this courage. But sorry to disappoint you.>
Just after this, the finger he cut vanished from where he it was placed, and instead the finger he cut, suddenly started reconstructing again it's recovery pace was super fast that in a second his finger was completely fine with ring adorned on it. He finally believed it and decided to accept his fate.... "So, what are you? As I have never seen or heard about a talking ring before. And, do you happen to know how I ended up in that multicolored cocoon?"
< Well, for what I am. I am the Almighty Ring. I was created by a being who created everything to find a perfect successor for him, who could hold his powers and rule over his creations as their ruler.>
< I am also the Absolute's Arsenal. He put his everything to create me for you. I have all the powers which have existed throughout all the cycles of existence, will exist in the upcoming cycles of existence, or will never exist in any cycle of existence. I have every imaginable, unimaginable, possible, impossible, existent, non-existent, known, unknown, thinkable, unthinkable, created, uncreated, discovered, undiscovered, fictional, nonfictional, perceived, unperceived, conceptual, nonconceptual, etc. power/ability ever, regardless of any flaws or limitations. And, this all is for you, who are his rightful successor. You have to fulfill some conditions, and you could have any kind of power. No one would be able to match you. But, you have to also work extra hard for this, as with power comes responsibilities. And, you are going to take responsibility for the whole existence. >
< I am also the spirit of this ring. I was also created for you, to guide you on your journey and how to fulfill these conditions. So, let's work together, my dear host! You don't know for how much long time I have waited for you.>
Kairos heard the monologue of the ring spirit attentively. He, at first, wanted to discard this as someone trying to fool him, but as he heard the voice of the ring spirit, he could tell it was telling the truth. He wanted to believe it.
< Thanks, Host, thanks for believing me!>
