During the
first break of the day Romerix asked around if there was a library within the
academy. He was told yes there was and was escorted by a student to the
library. Upon walking through the open doors of the library he saw this library
looked old but kept up to date. It had multiple stacks of book shelves that are
ten shelves high. A nice blue carpet covered the floor. Large red curtains
draped from curtain rods in front of windows.
And within the middle of this library was a circular service kiosk with the librarian sitting
down and reading a book about how to upkeep your garden. Romerix walked into this grand library of great
size. He passed by a couple students having a conversation and a couple other
students reading books. The carpet muffled each step Romerix took. He walked
leisurely up to the service kiosk with a question on his mind. "Uhm excuse me"
He asked in question. The librarian was drawn out of her book she was reading and met Romerix's gaze with a smile.
A warm smile. "Oh hello how can I help you young man?" She asked calmly. "It's
my first time being in this library I'm curious as to know if there is a
section on the chosen ones of Numen if at all?" Romerix asked curiously. The
librarian got up from her chair and walked out of the circular service kiosk.
"Yes we do actually please follow me." She said softly. A calm softness. Romerix
followed the librarian through the library leisurely to the back book shelves of
the library. The plaque which was engraved in brass stated the words History of
Numen. "Now I don't remember exactly which part of these two stacks has the
chosen ones of Numen. But this is everything on Numen so I hope you can find
exactly what you are looking for." The
librarian said with a smile. A warm smile. "Ok thank you ma'am. Romerix responded.
She returned back to her original location, leaving Romerix to sift through the books on the shelves to find what he is looking for exactly. Romerix looked at what books he
had at his disposal. He tried to figure out which ones would give him the answers he is looking for. "What is Numen...no... Numen and the Chaistream...no...the might of Numen...no that's not it." He said calmly to himself. Romerix would be pulling out books from their shelves and looking at the covers of the books. He burrowed a frown. He wasn't able to find what he was looking for exactly. "None of these books are exactly what I am looking for.." He said annoyed. "Maybe the bottom shelf of this section." He muttered to himself. He kneeled down to look through the books that are situated upon the bottom shelf. "Now let's see
here.." he thought. A curious thought.
Romerix searched through each and every book that was situated on the bottom shelf
until he came across it. A book that possibly would give him some answers. He
pulled the book out of the shelf and stood up onto his two feet. The book had a
maroon red cover with a symbol he has never seen before. The symbol was gold
and a mixture of the letter A and a cross "Numen and the Chosen ones...maybe this will give me the answers I'm looking for." He muttered to himself. A quiet mutter. Romerix
turned around while looking at the cover of the book he had grasped in his
hands. With a leisure step to his walk he found a table he could sit at. He pulled
a chair out from the table and sat down. He opened the cover. The spine of the
book stretched and creaked with age. "Okay let's see here.." he muttered. "Numen brought about reality and existence.
Through his thought and his breath everything was made...yeah I know that." He
muttered. He sifted through the pages hoping to look for an answer. "Numen had
seven chosen that helped shape Limuria to what it is today...they brought a
peace to Limuria which had not been seen in a millennia. With Numen's guidance the seven chosen of Numen paved the way for
the Limurites to better themselves and learn about the Chaistream and how to
harness their chai. That's still not it." Romerix spoke in a mutter with his
attention fully within the book he had in his grasp. Slight impatience came over Romerix while he flipped through the pages of the book. The book was not giving him any answers to what he was seeking. Romerix stopped on one particular page. "The chosen one..Ozoroth..." he found a page regarding the chosen one named
Ozoroth. His undivided attention was now put onto this page. Yes he was looking
for answers but something compelled him to read this page of the book. "Ozoroth
was one of the seven chosen by Numen himself. His natural talent and proficient
use of combat gave him the edge over his adversaries who would dare face him. Not
only was he regarded as one of the greatest combatants, his use of the
Chaistream was second to that of Nefsus. His fellow Chosen and brother in
arms." Romerix muttered his eyes fixated onto the page. As he continued to read some sort of weird tingly feeling filled his core like he had yesterday. "Ozoroth was revered by his peers as a protector and defended of the
weak and upholder of righteousness. Some would say over the rest of the chosen
ones Numen saw Ozoroth as his favourite. Speaking to him directly both through
physical manifestations and visions far more often then the rest of the chosen
ones." Romerix muttered the words from the books page out while reading what it
would say to him. The more he read about Ozoroth. The more that weird tingling sensation I'm his core grew. Then he grew confused. "Ozor- huh? What's going on with the page?" he said to himself. The words upon the page faded away till the page was left blank and
bare of its words. Romerix flipped through the pages and saw that now all the
pages were bare and blank with not a word in sight. There was words within this
book a moment ago. Why all of a sudden has the words just vanished. He couldn't
understand it. Then on one
of the now bare and blank pages, words in black began to appear to form a
sentence which caught his attention.
"What's this?...At this night's highest moon. Return and the answers one should seek
shall be answered unto them?" he didn't understand why all of a sudden this
singular sentence appeared from thin air onto the blank and bare page itself.
Was it for him? And if so who was sending it to him. All he knew is the
singular sentence vanished from the page with the page itself returning to what
it once was before hand. "The was strange...but something tells me I need to
come back later tonight." He said to himself.
Feeling beckoned to listen to the sentence he witnessed upon the blank page. Romerix
had a new objective which was to find out tonight what the sentence meant to be
telling him. Sera was in the dining hall. She walked leisurely over to
Zacharias and Lunai who are chatting at one of the tables. She had been curious
as to where Romerix could possibly be right now. "Hey guys." Sera asked. "Do
you two happen to know where Romerix is right now?" Lunai and Zacharias glanced looks at one another and pondered on where exactly Romerix could be. It was brought to their attention by Sera that not even they know where he is right now. "No we don't actually. " Lunai responded. "We haven't seen him all first brake. He
possibly could be at the courtyard or the library." Sera smiled.
A warm smile. She bowed towards Lunai out of respect and appreciation for what
she was told. She was highly thankful. "Thank you for telling me Lunai i will
have a look for him." She said warmly. Sera turned around with leisure to her
step and walked away from Lunai and Zacharias. "Why do you think she wants to
know where Romerix is?" Zacharias asked with curiosity. Lunai would shrug in
response to his question. "I would not
have a clue Zacharias." Sera leisurely walked through the great halls of the academy. She passed by students
who were locked in conversations of all variety. She came to the hall that
brought her out into the courtyards of the academy. Sera observed her
surroundings and glanced around to see if Romerix was in her sights. It seemed
that Romerix was not at the courtyards training or even in the courtyards talking
to the other students. "Well he isn't here by the looks of it. Lets see if he
is at the library" She said soft-spoken.
With a leisurely step to her walking she returned into the great halls of the academy.
She wandered the halls looking for any sight of the library. Sera had come to a
part of the academy she has never found her self in before. The hall she was in
was like the rest with no change except for a wooden sign that hanged from the
ceiling. The sign stated "Library" she had found it. Sera was delighted that
she had found the Libraries entrance way and hoped that maybe Romerix himself
was within the library. She walked
through the entrance way into the library and glanced around this grand section
of the academy. Her eyes then stopped onto someone who was sitting alone at one
of the many spread out reading tables throughout the library. A smile of glee
spread across her face as it was indeed Romerix who was sitting at that table
with a book in his hand that he was reading.
Sera walked over to Romerix and pulled out the chair that was opposite of him and sat down. Romerix was pulled out of the book he was reading and looked at Sera. "Oh hey
Sera what brings you here?" Romerix asked with curiosity. Sera smiled warmly as
she looked at Romerix. "Well I was wondering what you are up to is all. You
kind of disappeared after that class with Doctor Heartly." She said soft-spoken.
Romerix smiled in slight embarrassment while rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah sorry about that I just wanted to know more about Numen and his chosen ones
especially Ozoroth." Romerix responded with a soft chuckle. Lunai raised a brow
of confusion on who this Ozoroth he was speaking of. "Ozoroth?" She asked. Romerix
turned the book around so Sera could read the page about Ozoroth. "Yeah he was
one of the Chosen ones of Numen and one of if not the best fighter Limuria had
ever seen...but it doesn't tell me what happened to him or the rest of the
chosen ones." Romerix said with slight annoyance. Sera read what
the page would show her. Her brows raised with surprise to learn a little about
Ozoroth. "Wow I didn't know about him at all." She stated. "Yeah but I know for
a certain fact this book doesn't tell me everything about him just a little
chunk of him and who he was." Romerix said in Retort. It wasn't aimed at Sera
but himself as he was frustrated the book had not given him any answers but was
also pleased that the book told him something about who Ozoroth was. Sera was riddled with curiosity. " Does that book have something about each chosen one?"
She asked Romerix. Romerix gave her a smile. A smile that seemed to be like a
beam of sunlight. "Yep all seven of them and it also talks about Numen too but
very little amount of information is about him in this book which I can't understand why."
Sera had happiness that filled her. She absolutely loved listening to Romerix talk, not only was it about the infatuation she had for him. But something just clicked
when she talked to him compared to everyone else. She felt as if she could
listen to him ramble on for hours without being bored. That as if time had
stopped for her and that seconds with Romerix felt like hours of pure delight
and bliss. "I wished i could meet all of Numen's chosen ones and Numen himself and ask as many questions my mind could conjure up to ask." Romerix said with great reverence. A smile came across his face as he began to imagine what a conversation with them would of been like. What were they like and what did they exactly do.
Romerix knew these questions wouldn't get an answer but it was fun for him to
think anyway. Sera shrugged
to what Romerix had said. She didn't know if it was possible or if they even
would be able to ask those in the past questions. "Well I for sure wouldn't know. Maybe when we pass away we will be able to?" she said in unsure statement. Romerix responded with a nod of agreement to what Sera was saying. "I'll have to agree with you on that because I myself don't know in the
slightest." Romerix remarked. There was a
brief silence between Sera and Romerix. The very starting of a bond between them
began to form through their conversation. The air around them suddenly felt
warmer and comforting. The feeling like a warm and fluffy blanket embracing
them both. Sera spoke up to cut through the deafening silence like a hot blade
through butter. "W-well break is almost over I think it would be a good idea to
head to our next class." Sera said cheerfully with a smile of warmth. Romerix had briskly
left his seat, pushing it back underneath the table in quick fashion. He seemed
startled. "You're right i completely forgot i was so wrapped up in the book that
I wasn't keeping check of the time." Romerix said fast-paced. He was clearly now
in a rush. Sera left her chair in a leisurely fashion. A smile on her face. She
found it somewhat funny Romerix had forgotten about the next class. "Alright well
we got a couple minutes before the lesson starts anyway." She stated. Romerix briskly
walked over to the shelf that he found the book and returned it to its original
location. After doing so he left the library with Sera. Both of them making their
way to the next class which is with Solaria on the topic of the chosen one Elicia.
