Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: The Beginning of the Search

----->Warning! The book is originally in Spanish, so I had to use a translator to convert it to English (I did it because most of the works are in English) so it is normal that there are some words that do not match the reading<---

Legends tell of a vast magical world ruled by beings with unimaginable powers. These people have the ability to control every type of magic that exists on the planet: water, fire, air, earth, plant, ice and lightning. However, there are two individuals whose elements are the pillars that maintain the balance between good and evil. Their role in the world is of such importance that the two most capable people are chosen to handle such power, however, the appearance of these beings is never foreseen... Unlike the other elementals, which are selected in shorter periods of time. These beings are known as the Primordial of Light and Darkness, beings so mysterious that their origin is still a mystery; no one knows for sure where they come from or how they came about...

Because these two beings are chosen every millennium, they become the most important and adored people during their life cycle, causing a great impact every time they manifest before anyone.

Such is the case of a beautiful woman, with yellow hair, amber eyes with intense yellow hues, a brown corset with braids, a white warrior's cape accompanied by a small skirt, accompanied by long brown boots... despite her imposing appearance, she still had little knowledge about the immense power she had in her hands, so every day was a new discovery in her journey towards understanding and mastering her abilities.

With a clear and precise goal, to gather the elemental kings... no matter what happened, she was determined to accomplish her objective. Accompanied by a small group of elementals already gathered, she would begin the search for the remaining ones, not knowing what the future held in store for her....

"Lately the situation has become somewhat complicated... for now I have only managed to gather 4 elementals out of the 9 that are... This has become a very tedious process considering that I don't have much information about it, which, becomes a problem at the moment of finding one of them."

-It's been a while since I found Tochi, I haven't encountered another elemental again. -Hikari asked frustrated, while looking at a city from a window.

"Hana, a friend who has always followed me at all times, even when I was exiled from the celestial realm, she decided to accompany me... On the other hand, there are Tochi and Mizuki... Tochi is a young villager who was born with the extraordinary gift of controlling earth magic with astonishing perfection, which has drawn the attention of many kingdoms. His skill is so impressive that it has aroused the interest of powerful rulers and wizards... while Mizuki, is a foreigner who hails from the lands of Greece. She left her home when wars began to devastate her country. She is also an incredible magician, whose peculiarity lies in her mastery of water magic. Her ability to manipulate this element is as natural as breathing..."

- I don't know, I think we should look for or send someone to investigate in different realms," Hana answered while reading a book.

"All the time that has passed has felt like a waste of time, I don't know any people who can collaborate with this. I have thought of dividing them to different realms, in the hope that they can get some valuable information. But, there is something to keep in mind, Mizuki comes from the lands of Greece and is the water elemental, which leads me to believe that the rest of the elementals might be scattered all over the world. However, even so, we should still try to look for information in other realms."

- I will send each one to a different realm to search for signs of another elemental.

- I like the idea, I like the simple fact of visiting other places, but knowing that I have to wait so long to get there... -The idea would please him, but when he remembered the long way it takes to get to a city, his spirits would fall to the ground.

- I know it very well Hana, anyway communicate this to Tochi and Mizuki.

- Okay. -Hana would answer.

"I'm a guardian angel, I'm always ready to face any evil that crosses my path. No matter what, I always end up defeating them, although sometimes I worry that my own ego might lead me to a fate similar to Luzbel's...", Hikari mentioned as she took a seat.

"What will happen if the rest of the elementals are not found in Japan? Searching for them in other countries would be even more complicated, since I don't know their territories well." Then, he spread out a map where the various locations of the cities could be seen. "Before I rush, I will divide Tochi, Mizuki and Hana. I already have a few kingdoms in my sights: Kingusuburi, Teikoku and Uizado are a great choice due to their relative proximity to our kingdom. We'll start there."

A few hours later, Hana would arrive accompanied by two people. A boy with brown hair and brown eyes, and a girl with long blue hair and aquamarine eyes. They were Tochi and Mizuki, the same ones Hikari had mentioned before. She waited patiently for them while sipping a cup of tea.

- Thank you for bringing them Hana.

- Hey, I was doing something very important. -Said Tochi somewhat angrily.

- What are you complaining so much Tochi? All you do is wander around the city. -Mizuki would answer Tochi.

-I am the one who only sleeps and rarely leaves the palace.

-Hey!

-That's enough. Take a seat, I have to tell you something.

"After a few minutes, I explained our plan. We agreed that Mizuki would go to Teikoku, while Tochi and Hana would go to Kingusuburi. I decided to send them together since the city is usually a bit dangerous, and it was better for them to have company... Already the next day, Hana was getting ready to leave for King Bridge, while Tochi was solving some problems in his village."

- All ready Hikari," said Hana as she finished packing.

- Won't you wait for Tochi? Going through that forest is a dangerous thing to do

- He said he will catch up with me, so there will be no problem. I know very well that he will not let me down.

-You know you can take a wagon into town, right?

-Yes, but I prefer to go through the forest; if I go by wagon it will take me twice as long.

- Remember that, if it happens, you can use the communication sphere.

- Okay. Goodbye -Hana would leave with a smile on her face.

Hana set out on a long journey to gather information about the whereabouts of the remaining elementals. However, she did not know what awaited her in the forest she had to cross. As she went deeper, she began to notice traps everywhere, which caught her attention. Cautiously, he began to take precautions not to fall into them.

"How strange...there are a lot of traps in this place."

A little further on, he spotted a person, a man with medium-length spiky hair, lying on the floor, reading a book.

"What is a person doing alone in the forest? I must warn you that being here is very dangerous!" He would try that, when he would suddenly fall into a trap... Looking down, he would see very sharp wooden stakes. It was all so sudden that he couldn't use his magic to save himself. It seemed he had no salvation. But, unexpectedly...

- Are you ok?

That person that Hana had seen... would have saved her, leaving her very impressed just thinking how fast he went to save her.

- Thank you for saving me.

- You should be more careful where you walk," he said in a cold manner.

- I know. Sorry.

A look that conveys coldness, pure violet eyes, along with a black cloak with golden ornaments... just looking at him would give the red-haired girl the shivers.

- Don't be scared, I won't do anything bad to you.

- Oh, I'm sorry, I'm still a little apprehensive about what just happened.

"I didn't expect a woman to show up here. She seems to be on a trip, so I might ask her which is the closest city to my current position, I didn't think Japan changed its geography so much... there wasn't a forest here before."

-I see that you are traveling, could you help me?

-Yes, what do you need? -Hana would look at the guy in confusion.

-You see, I got lost several days ago in this forest, I honestly don't know which is the nearest town, if only I had a map to guide me it would be great.

-I see.

"That explains why he is in this forest. I decided to explain to him in which direction he would find the nearest towns. It turns out he's a foreigner from Fukuoka, so it would be normal to get lost in the lands of Osaka."

- Thank you very much for your help.

- No problem. Come on, if you want you can come with me.

- I would, but I have to hunt for something to eat first. I'm starving.

"I had no time to lose, I decided to say goodbye to that guy to continue, but a little further on... I had forgotten something of utmost importance."

-How could I forget the money!

"How can I be so clumsy? Without that I won't be able to have a stay in some inn and would have to sleep in the street, I won't allow that. I'll have to go back to the city. Luckily on the way I met Tochi, and upon telling him what had happened to me..."

-You could have left anything, but the coins, Hana?

- Sorry.

"How can he be so clumsy? It's frustrating to know that I lost part of the trip already because of his carelessness."

-I would sigh, "Whatever. Let's go back.

Due to Hana's clumsiness, both of them would have to return to the city to look for the money they had left behind. Unaware that the person who had helped Hana a few minutes ago was listening to them from behind a tree.

"That clumsiness could be used against you, besides... I already have the money for a new weapon, this was very simple..." He would look deliriously at the small bag of coins, which he had stolen from Hana without her noticing "I am Yoru Kurayami, the worst enemy of countries, known for starting countless wars in different territories... lately I have been very bored due to that the wars I have started in different countries have ceased, so to entertain myself a little I decided to come to Japan, some lands I had already visited many years ago.... I would love to see this country immersed in a war" He would sit on a rock "But there is certainly something that bothers me a lot about these lands... I have been lost for several days in this miserable forest that doesn't even have a stupid squirrel to eat. Luckily on the map that woman showed me, I managed to spot the sea to the east, so I'll be able to hunt some fish and not wait for some animal to show up in this forest... So I'll get to work."

The afternoon falls, Tochi and Hana would have already returned to the palace, leaving Hikari somewhat surprised, she would ask why they had returned, to which Hana would tell her that she had forgotten the money. This would make them stay one more day at the palace in order to leave early the next day... while waiting for the moment, Hikari would feel a strange presence coming from the forest.

-What's up Hikari?

-It's all right, Hana.

"What I was missing..." Hikari would clutch her head in frustration "I thought I would never have to face a demon again, and it just comes from the forest where Hana and Tochi were What do I do now...better I'll wait until tomorrow, I'm already a bit sleepy...now I feel worried about it. I hope... tragic things won't happen."

While everyone was resting, in the forest, Yoru was walking in the middle of the night towards the beach... on his way, he would feel a strange presence, making him go to the place where that mysterious energy was coming from... When he arrived at the place, he would find a guy, crimson hair somewhat dull and orange eyes with red touches... who was laughing in a diabolical way while looking at the sky.

He exclaimed that after such a long time, he could have free access to the land of mortals and that after a long wait, he could get to fulfill his long-awaited revenge... After a while of laughter, that guy would realize the presence of Yoru...

-Who are you?

-That doesn't matter. What are you doing in these woods at this late hour? You should be taking a nap

-Who do you think you are? How did you find me?

"That smug laugh... it makes me very curious... plus that strange presence that exudes anger and uneasiness... Those are the signs... that he's a demon... this can't get any more exciting" Yoru would chuckle lightly while clutching his face "That determination to answer me like that... I won't forgive it at all. You have guts to have done that without knowing me you jerk!"

-I came because a strange presence was coming from this area. Can't I see what's going on?

"Did you notice my presence? The people who can notice my presence are only angels and demons... I've never seen this guy... which means he's an angel! Don't fuck with me, I waited too long to get out of hell, to meet one the same day" This person would be prepared for any attack from Yoru, not knowing that he was facing the wrong person.

-Get away from me, I won't let you lock me up that easy.

Those words would make Yoru change his face from disgust to a mocking laugh... which would make the guy angry.

-That's the stupidest thing I've heard in so long! Me, an angel? -He said as he laughed shamelessly.

-What the hell is wrong with you?

-That's the funniest thing they've said about me in so long," he would stop laughing, "Can't I be an exception? Poor ingrate.

Those words enraged the subject, who would jump to attack Yoru. However, he would defend himself very easily from his attacks, where Yoru would hit him in the stomach, causing the subject to crash into a tree... Leaving him shocked by the ease with which Yoru defended himself.

"Who is this guy? He defended himself so easily... I've never seen him before in the holy order, haven't I met them all?"

-How boring... I expected more from an infernal being. -He said disappointed.

Yoru would again be attacked, but would again defend himself just as easily. But this time he would disarm and then knock the guy out.

- how unfortunate.

"These present day demons are too weak, they should be extinguished and a new legion of them formed. I see that the death of the monarchs affected them greatly in their power. I will use you in the future..." He would begin to laugh

Out of nowhere, a pack of wolves would appear, which would make Yoru even more excited as a food source had finally appeared.

-At last some food...Oh, you cute little wolves, I'll gut you all to eat you!

Already the next day, Hikari was meeting with Hana, explaining the energy she had felt that night. Hana would be surprised, as before returning, she had been with Yoru, which made him the first person Hana would suspect.

-Before returning I had met a guy in the forest, who said he was lost. However, I did not sense any demonic energy from him.

"How strange, I didn't feel any strange presence coming from that guy when I met him, maybe he did something that gave off that energy that Hikari says, I know he can't be lying, since his perception is very good."

- Hana Could I ask you a favor?

-Yes!

-Can you investigate the forest? I will tell Mizuki to wait a few more days.

-All right Hikari -Hana would leave.

"If it's a demon I have to take immediate action, we don't know how strong it might be, but it's better to prevent some impending chaos, still..."

-I have... a bad feeling.

While the red-haired girl went to the forest... Yoru was eating peacefully, while he had that person tied to a tree, still unconscious... after a while, he would wake up and go crazy when he realized that he was tied.

"But what, was I unconscious...I can't move" I would see the binding "Impossible...this bastard!"

-Oh, you woke up," said Yoru with a smirk as he ate a steak.

-Release me immediately!

-Could you wait? Can't you see I'm eating?

"This bastard, who does he think he is to be able to do this to me? I just have to wait for him to release me, when he does, he'll have his way with me."

-Hey, don't ignore me!

-I told you, I'm eating, don't bother me.

"Are you kidding me, do you really want to die? If only I could free myself, but this binding is too strong... Besides, something strange is wrong with me, I can't use my magic to burn the ropes, what the hell did he do to me, how can I be humiliated like this?"

-Don't try, you won't be able to get out of there unless I release you.

-Just wait until I escape, when I do I will make you suffer in the worst possible way.

Yoru upon hearing these words, would take it as a kind of challenge, so he would approach the subject in an imposing way and release him, there Yoru would grab him by the shirt and lift him up.

-What are you going to do? Come on, give it a try," said Yoru while looking menacingly at this person, then throwing him to the ground and putting a foot on him. Let's see what you can do in a situation like this.

"What look is that, why do I feel so intimidated...something in me, tells me that I must not confront him in any way...now what do I do?"

-I figured -Yoru would retire to continue eating peacefully -Life advice: Don't treat people like scum, you never know when you'll run into someone who can crush you.

-Whatever you say," he would say angrily and then start walking aimlessly.

-Where do you think you are going? -Yoru kept intimidating this person.

"I won't let you go, you are a potential character to give me access to hell, there I can get a better quality weapon not like the crap sword I have right now. I will discard the idea of going to the nearest city."

-Don't you think you should tell me your name? -I asked him with the same cold and intimidating look as before.

While Yoru was intimidating that guy... Hana was already in the forest looking for that strange presence that Hikari was talking about. After a few minutes, she would find Yoru with that person whose name is still unknown. But... when she saw the other guy, she would take a surprised expression...

-Wait a minute, is that Hinotama? -she wondered to herself as she bit her finger to see him there.

"How can this be possible, how did he get out of hell? Also, that guy, could he be a companion of yours? Now we'll have to capture him... sorry Hikari, the other elementals will have to wait. I didn't think I was going to deal with any more trouble in a certain amount of time, but I see I was totally wrong" As she sneakily watched.

Hana would take the courage to show herself to Yoru and the guy named Hinotama, after taking a breath... the latter would react instantly upon seeing Hana, preparing for any attack that might arise.

-Hello," he greeted with a warm and beautiful smile.

-It's you. -I would like to know why they don't let me eat in peace, I haven't done it for more than a week.

-Can you hear me for a second?

-Make it quick. I'm starving.

"I don't know what happens, but because of this guy's reaction to seeing her... it may mean that she's an enemy of his, certainly, I'd like to see how this situation ends."

-It's been a long time, Hinotama," said the red-haired girl, somewhat surprised.

-So that's your name," Yoru would laugh and get up from the floor, "Thanks for saving me the trouble.

-Are you a colleague of his?

-Of course not, I found it here last night.

-What a relief," she said to herself as she sighed, "you have to know that the guy next to you is a fallen angel, a traitor of the celestial kingdom, so I ask you kindly to step away from here for a moment.....
