Alex stared at the screen, then tried to touch it, but suddenly, his hand passed right through it.
[ Host can't touch it. It's just the system sending waves to the brain, making it feel as if you're seeing the screen, which is really just a brain game. ] The system suddenly explained.
Alex nodded and asked, "What can you do? Give me a broad introduction."
[ System functions mainly involve gacha and inventory. ]
[ Host can do gachas with the system's help, and the inventory is like an infinite space that can store both system items as well as non-system items. ]
[ As for the gacha currency, it is called tickets. ]
[ These gacha tickets are divided into tiers. ]
[ Since the system is currently Level 1, only three tickets are available. ]
[ Bronze, Silver, and Golden Gacha Tickets. ]
[ And since the host has activated the system for the first time, you will receive one free gacha ticket of each category. ]
"SO, you didn't have a status-like thing?" Alex asked, still curious.
[ Status is a basic function that is available in all systems along with the Appraisal function. ]
[ Does the host want to know all other basic functions? ] the system asked, and Alex nodded.
[ The system's basic functions are: Status, Appraisal, Mapping, and Ticket Fusion. ]
[ Since the host is already familiar with the Status, Appraisal, and Mapping functions, the system will skip explaining those. ]
[ As for the Fusion function, it helps the host fuse any system-related items. ]
"So even gacha tickets?" Alex asked, curious.
[ Yes, lower-tier tickets can be fused to create a higher-tier ticket. ] the system responded.
Alex nodded and opened the Status. It was simple, displaying his name, rank, and stats.
Next, he opened the map, which showed that he was in the Fisk building. As he zoomed out, he saw more buildings around him.
"So, I'm really in the Marvel world," he sighed, noticing the iconic buildings from the Marvel universe.
"But there's no Avengers Tower, so it's before the New York battle..." he murmured to himself, nodding. After closing the map, he looked at the inventory.
It was like a grid box, and only three things were placed there: three tickets—bronze, silver, and gold in color.
Sigh.
"Well, if I'm in Fisk Tower, that means this Kingpin guy is either going to sell me or something related to it," Alex muttered to himself.
"Might as well use the gacha and hope to get out of this place," he mumbled, pressing the bronze ticket.
[ Do host wish to use the bronze ticket for gacha? ] the system asked.
"What's the bronze ticket give me?" Alex asked.
[ Bronze means the host can get anything from village-destroying level to small city-destroying level. ] the system replied. Though Alex didn't fully understand, it sounded powerful, so he pressed it.
[ Host using bronze ticket for the first time... ]
[ Host will be awarded with the highest prize in the Bronze pool. ]
[ Congratulations, host, on getting the Random Class Change Book! ]
A book suddenly popped out of the system screen and landed in Alex's hands. He looked at it, wondering what class he would get.
"Should I just open it, or do I have to do anything else?" he asked, still looking at the book.
[ Host can just open it directly. ] the system said.
Alex nodded and removed the leather strap from the book, opening it.
As soon as he opened it, a flash of light occurred, and then the book disintegrated in a burst of light, leaving nothing behind.
[ Congratulations, host, on obtaining the Necromancer class! ]
[ Host has gained Beginner Undead Magic. ]
[ Host has obtained a Mana Core. ]
[ Host has gained 1,000 points of Mana. ]
[ Host has learned the "Raise Skeleton" skill. ]
[ Host has learned the "Skeleton Connect" skill. ]
[ Host has learned the "Nether Bolt" skill. ]
Alex stared at the notifications, wondering whether he should be happy or not.
"Necromancer class, huh?" he rubbed his chin, thinking. Necromancer could be a powerful class, but it also depended on the stage of necromancy. As a beginner, the Necromancer class was pretty weak.
"Well, I do have two more chances," he thought, pushing the class to the back of his mind for now as he looked at the next ticket.
[ Does the host wish to use the Silver Gacha ticket? ]
Alex nodded once again, and the same notification popped up, indicating it was his first time using the Silver ticket.
[ Congratulations, host, on obtaining a random Monster Ball! ]
[ Random Monster Ball: A Master Ball that holds a tamed monster. The host can obtain any monster from Pokémon, Digimon, or any other monster game. ]
"Hm, this could help... though only if I get a powerful monster," Alex mumbled, holding the silver ball with its red linings.
"Please give me something good," he thought, hoping for a miracle as he pressed the button for the golden ticket. The gacha wheel spun once again, the screen lighting up with anticipation, until it stopped on something else entirely.
[ Congratulations, host, on obtaining the Symbiote: Anti-Venom! ]
Alex was stunned for a moment before bursting out laughing as he processed the notification. "Finally, something good!" he exclaimed, a relieved grin spreading across his face.
"Not to mention," he muttered to himself, "this guy is walking all-cure." He couldn't help but marvel at the implications. Anti-Venom, a unique symbiote created when remnants of Venom fused with white blood cells, was unlike any other. Its abilities went beyond the ordinary—it could cure every disease.
The thought of having such a powerful ally filled Alex with hope. "With this, my chances of survival just went up," he murmured, clutching the glowing orb containing Anti-Venom.
For the first time since waking up in the cage, Alex felt like he had a fighting chance.
"System, show me all the abilities of Anti-Venom," Alex said eagerly, anticipation evident in his tone.
[ Displaying Abilities of Symbiote: Anti-Venom ]
Powers
Mutated Symbiote Biology: The Symbiote can mimic any type of clothing whatsoever, as well as blending Anti-Venom in his surroundings, rendering him invisible. The Symbiote has augmented all of its host's physical abilities to superhuman levels equal to, and in some cases greater than, Spider-Man's.
Superhuman Strength
Superhuman Durability
Superhuman Stamina
Regeneration
Genetic Memory
Offspring Detection
Wallcrawling
Organic Webbing and Web-Slinging
Constituent-Matter Generation: Anti-Venom can also use the same substance comprising the symbiote in the form of constituent white matter or tentacles, and uses it in this method for lethal force against criminals. Anti-Venom can send a part of the symbiote and direct its movements into a victim's body, smothering them from the inside.
Danger Sense: Anti-Venom also possesses an extrasensory ability similar to Spider-Man's spider-sense. This response is not as complicated as Spider-Man's inherent sense since the symbiote can detect danger from every direction and conduct giving host plenty of response time. This is a lot more efficient than Spider-Man's spider-sense because it takes less time to sense the danger, and Host's reflexes are faster than Spider-Man's since the symbiote enhances them. Note, for instance, how Anti-Venom can dodge a gunshot or a relatively close barrage of bullets.
Immunity to Spider-Man's Spider Sense: Because the Venom symbiote originally used Spider-Man as its host, its offspring is able to bypass his spider-sense. As such, Anti-Venom's attacks do not trigger Spider-Man's spider-sense, thus proving Anti-Venom a formidable opponent to Spider-Man.
Camouflage: The symbiote is capable of mimicking the appearance of any form of clothing, camouflaging with its surroundings, and even mimicking other people. Brock's preferred form of clothing was a white shirt, jacket and pants.
Shape Alteration: Anti-Venom can manipulate its matter to enlarge or stretch its body in order to augment its attacks. Anti-Venom is capable of morphing its host's hands into objects, such as to form a blade (similar to its symbiote nephew, Carnage) or fabricate a shield.
Impurity Sense: Anti-Venom can sense foreign substances within a person's body. This includes symbiotes, radiation, narcotics, viruses, and other diseases.
Internal Bodily Cleansing: After sensing an impurity such as toxins, drugs, diseases, and other malignant substances, Anti-Venom can forcefully "cure" the substance from the person's body using antibodies produced by the symbiote. This power can also be used to depower some superhumans.
Spider-Power Negation
Fire Immunity: In contrast to the other symbiotes, Anti-Venom is immune to fire and extreme heat.
Sonic Immunity: Besides immunity to fire and heat, Anti-Venom also shows strong resistance against sonic-based attacks.
Abilities
The symbiote produces antibodies that can "cure" a person afflicted by radioactivity, parasites, diseases, and drugs.
Weaknesses
The Symbiote is extremely vulnerable to a poison made by Norman Osborn using the Freak and Mr. Negative's Darkforce powers. The poison destroys the symbiote for a while, and Mr. Negative's powers halt the symbiote's healing powers until his dark energy is no longer in contact with the symbiote. Furthermore, overuse of the symbiote's healing abilities weakens it to the point where it can potentially be overwhelmed and destroyed by another symbiote. ]
