Mia's decision to work in-house with Alexander Knight weighed heavily on her mind as she left the Knight Enterprises building. She couldn't shake the feeling that she'd just made a deal with the devil himself.
As she walked back to her apartment, she mentally prepared herself for the challenges ahead. Working with Alexander would be a battle of wills, and she needed to stay focused.
The next morning, Mia arrived at Knight Enterprises, ready to face whatever lay ahead. She was greeted by Alexander's assistant, who led her to a sleek, modern office on the top floor.
"Mr. Knight will be with you shortly," the assistant said, handing Mia a folder filled with documents and design briefs. "In the meantime, please make yourself at home."
Mia nodded, taking a seat at the desk. As she began to review the documents, she noticed a small note attached to the folder.
"Meet me in the conference room at 2 PM. -A.K."
She raised an eyebrow, wondering what Alexander had planned.
At 2 PM sharp, Mia walked into the conference room, where Alexander was already seated. He gestured for her to take a seat, and she did, trying to ignore the flutter in her chest.
"So, Ms. Adams," he began, his eyes locked on hers. "I trust you've reviewed the design briefs and documents?"
Mia nodded, her mind racing with ideas. "Yes, I have. And I have to say, I'm impressed. Your vision for the rebranding is ambitious."
Alexander leaned back in his chair, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "I'm glad you approve. Now, let's discuss the details. I want to see some mockups by the end of the week."
Mia's eyes widened. "That's a tight deadline."
Alexander shrugged. "I'm willing to pay top dollar for quality work. And I expect nothing but the best from you, Ms. Adams."
Mia felt a surge of determination. She would not let him down. "I'll deliver," she said, her voice firm.
Alexander's gaze lingered on hers for a moment before he nodded. "I expect nothing less."
As the meeting drew to a close, Mia couldn't help but feel that she was in over her head. But she was determined to prove herself, to show Alexander Knight that she was more than just a talented designer – she was a force to be reckoned with.
