_Chapter 12: A Night of Seduction_
Mia stood in front of her closet, staring blankly at the rows of clothes. She had no idea what to wear to dinner with Alexander Knight.
She finally settled on a sleek black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. She paired it with a pair of high heels and a simple silver necklace.
As she finished getting ready, the doorbell rang. Mia's heart skipped a beat as she realized that Alexander had arrived.
She took a deep breath and made her way to the door. When she opened it, Alexander stood on the other side, looking impossibly handsome in a tailored black suit.
"You look stunning," he said, his eyes locking onto hers.
Mia felt a flutter in her chest as she smiled. "Thank you," she said. "You don't look so bad yourself."
Alexander smiled and offered her his arm. Mia took it, feeling a spark of electricity as their skin touched.
As they walked to the car, Mia couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had no idea what the night would bring, but she was eager to find out.
The restaurant was a small, intimate place in the heart of the city. The food was exquisite, and the wine was flowing.
As they ate, Alexander asked her questions about herself, about her passions and her dreams. Mia found herself opening up to him in ways she never had with anyone before.
As the night wore on, the conversation turned more serious. Alexander told her about his childhood, about the struggles he had faced and the sacrifices he had made.
Mia listened, entranced, as Alexander's mask slipped and she caught a glimpse of the man beneath.
As the evening drew to a close, Alexander reached across the table and took her hand. His touch sent shivers down her spine, and Mia felt herself getting lost in his eyes.
"I had a wonderful time tonight," he said, his voice low and husky.
Mia smiled, feeling a sense of connection that she couldn't ignore. "I did too," she said.
Alexander's eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, Mia felt like she was drowning in their depths.
"I want to see you again," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Mia's heart skipped a beat as she nodded. "I'd like that," she said.
As they walked out of the restaurant, Mia felt a sense of excitement that she couldn't ignore. She had no idea what the future held, but she was eager to find out.
