"Ellie, a friend from your school sent you something." Daniel saw Ellie coming in and spoke to her.
"From my school?"
"Yes, the person said it's from a friend of yours from your school."
Ellie looked puzzled: "I don't have any friends from my school."
Daniel: "?"
He looked at the thing in his hand and said, "I don't know either, he said mentioning your school would make you understand."
William came in from outside, looking at the two, and asked, "What's going on?"
Daniel held the thing in his hand and said to William, "Just now a boy came, saying he was delivering something for someone. He said mentioning your school and Ellie would know, I thought it was a friend of Ellie's, so I took it for her."
William paused for a moment and said, "The boy who asked for your contact information before."
With William's words, Ellie remembered.
Daniel, holding the thing, felt a bit helpless and said to Ellie, "I'm sorry, Ellie, I didn't ask clearly, what should we do with this? Should we return it?"
But he didn't know which class the boy was from, so he couldn't return it even if he wanted to.
Ellie said, "It's okay, it's not your fault, give it to me."
She took the thing, opened the box, and saw the note inside.
William sat nearby, seemingly reading a book, but actually secretly watching Ellie open the package.
The handwriting on the note was neat: Ellie, Merry Christmas, signed with a character for 'Summer'.
Ellie put away the note, saw the candy and chocolate inside, and then stuffed them into her drawer. She asked William, "Should I reply with something?"
William replied sourly, "I don't know."
"I don't like being in debt to others, so I'll reply with something to make us even."
Hearing this, William felt much more comfortable and said, "Just give something casual tomorrow for Christmas."
Ellie said, "Okay."
...
In the evening.
After they finished discussing the problem.
"William, is this okay?"
William looked at the candy and a Santa hat she held up and said, "It's fine."
Ellie put those things into a gift bag, added a few snacks, and said, "That works."
The two chatted for a while longer, and Ellie said, "I'll ask his friend which class he's in, and I'll just deliver these things tomorrow."
"Okay."
Although he knew the reason, William still felt a bit uneasy.
Before he could send a message, Ellie received a message from Landon.
[Landon]: Merry Christmas Eve!
[Ellie]: Merry Christmas Eve! Thank you for your gift, there's no need to go through so much trouble in the future.
[Landon]: It's not a hassle.
[Ellie]: What's your friend's name? I'll have him bring something to you.
Landon couldn't help but laugh when he saw her message.
[Landon]: Class Twelve, Brandon.
[Ellie]: Okay.
...
The next day.
As soon as class started, Mr. Johnson collected a desk full of gifts and said to the students, "You should keep your money to buy food for yourselves, you don't need to give me anything."
Although he said that, his heart was still warm.
"We still have money for meals, Mr. Johnson."
"Merry Christmas!"
Mr. Johnson looked at the smiling faces below and said, "Merry Christmas, everyone."
...
Ellie took out the things, ready to deliver them.
William said, "Let me deliver them for you."
"Can you?"
"Sure." William took the things from her hand and asked, "Which class?"
Ellie took out a small note from her pocket and handed it to him, saying, "This one, just give it to him."
"Okay." William left with the things.
The people in Class Twelve peeked out the door and saw William, and there was a bit of a commotion, wondering if someone in the class had provoked this plague god.
The boy sitting by the door ran out and said to William, "William, who are you looking for?"
William looked down at the note in his hand and said, "Looking for Brandon in your class."
"Brandon, someone's looking for you."
A tall and thin boy came out from inside, looking at the person at the door, a bit intimidated, he hadn't provoked William either.
"Brandon?"
"Yes."
William handed over the things.
Now not only was Brandon confused, but the whole class in Class Twelve was confused as well.
Could it be that William likes men?
It shouldn't be the case.
William looked as straight as an arrow.
"Delivering something for my deskmate."
"Ah?" Brandon was confused.
He was delivering something for his deskmate?
Brandon's first reaction to hearing this was, who is his deskmate that could make William come over to deliver something.
"Yesterday, didn't you deliver something to my deskmate for your friend from Class Seventeen?" William looked at him and said calmly.
"William, you're Ellie's deskmate?" Brandon finally figured it out.
William made a sound of affirmation and said, "Give this to your friend."
For some reason, Brandon felt that William sounded even more fierce when he said this, he wasn't sure if it was his illusion.
He said, "Okay, thank you, William."
William made a sound of affirmation and then left.
Brandon held the things in his hand, watching William walk away, before he let out a breath, the pressure just now was too much.
Ellie saw William come in and asked, "How was it? Did you give it to him?"
William nodded and said, "The little teacher's task, it must be done."
Ellie smiled at his words and took out a gift bag from her drawer, saying, "This is your Christmas gift."
"I also have a gift? Little teacher."
Ellie smiled and said, "Yes." She handed the thing to William.
William took out a hat from the bag, white with simple letters printed on it.
It was quite nice-looking, but it seemed to be a bit too small in size.
William held the hat on his head, then held it in his hand and looked at it for a while.
Ellie said, "That hat is for Coco."
William took out a red string with an exquisite little bell on it, silver.
"That is also for Coco."
William looked inside the bag, at the bottom was a set of materials, with large letters printed on it: The most comprehensive English materials in history, suitable for students with weak English foundations!
William took out the test paper, he couldn't help but laugh, and said, "Little teacher, you really care about me, giving me exercises for Christmas."
Ellie explained earnestly, "These questions are really good, I looked online for a long time, and then I bought them for you, you really should try them."
William laughed, "Of course I will do them, they were bought by the little teacher." He paused, then said, "But little teacher, are you a bit biased? Coco got two gifts, and I only got one."
