Monday, the ninth.
"The full scores are out. I've printed the exam results. Each group gets a copy. Pass them around."
Daniel, holding the score list, said to Ellie, "Ellie, you've ranked third in the whole school again! Congratulations!"
Ellie smiled upon hearing this and said, "Thank you."
Daniel, looking at the score list, said, "William, wait a moment, let me see where you are."
Daniel looked from the top down and then said, "Found it, found it. William, you're forty-fifth, eight places better than last time!"
William made an "um" sound.
Ellie said, "After you finish looking, let me take a look."
Daniel said, "Sure, Ellie, I'll give it to you after we're done looking at the scores."
There are a total of sixty-one students in the class.
The score list was passed to William and Ellie.
William glanced at Ellie at the top with 692 points, then looked at himself almost at the bottom with just over two hundred points.
The two were almost separated by an entire score list.
William met Ellie's gaze and said, "Little Teacher has been teaching me for more than half a month, am I a bit disappointing for Little Teacher?"
Ellie smiled with her almond eyes curved, her eyes filled with a warm smile, and she said, "No, you're really great, you've improved by eight places this time."
After she finished speaking, she reached out her soft hand and patted William's head, saying, "Nothing happens overnight, you've done great."
Her hand was soft, rubbing on the top of his head.
William's heart was unbearably soft, facing her bright, smiling, curved almond eyes, he said, "Is Little Teacher comforting me?"
Ellie said earnestly, "No, I'm praising you."
William met her curved almond eyes and couldn't help but smile along.
"William."
William heard her call his name and said, "What's up?"
"You're not scary at all."
Previously, on the first day of school, she really thought he was scary.
Later, when she saw him fighting, she was really frightened.
Then, she found out that William was not scary at all.
He's a person who is cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
Although sometimes he talks a bit off, always likes to tease her, but he is very warm and kind.
William looked at her and said, "What makes you say that?"
Ellie smiled, a bit embarrassed, and said, "At first, I thought you were quite scary."
William looked at her and said, "Hmm?"
"On the first day, I thought you were quite scary."
William suddenly put away his smile, put on a serious expression, looked at her fiercely, and said, "What about now?"
Ellie shook her head, "Not scary."
Kind of cute.
Ellie suddenly remembered the last time she said he wasn't scary, and William scared her.
...
Ellie looked over all the questions William got wrong, then said, "Shall we start with math?"
"Sure, whatever Little Teacher wants to start with is fine."
Sunlight poured onto the girl's face through the window. William looked at her, her hair strands were glowing in the sunlight, her small face was fair and rosy, and her almond eyes were very clear.
William looked at her, with her soft voice in his ears.
He remembered her coat with white fur trim, she looked especially good in it, unbearably cute.
Ellie gently tapped his head with a pen and said, "What are you thinking about?"
William said, "Nothing."
"Pay attention."
"Okay."
The autumn wind rustled the leaves outside the window, some people in the class were talking loudly, some were snacking, and some were running around in the hallway.
There were also those who were discussing problems and studying.
This is probably what youth looks like.
In the back row of the classroom.
Two heads were tightly pressed together.
Very close.
The boy would occasionally look at the girl next to him.
...
Tuesday.
Before physical education class.
William said to Ellie, "Little Teacher, same as usual, bring me a bottle of water, any water is fine, buy whatever you want to drink."
Ellie took it from him and said, "Okay."
It's getting cooler.
Ellie brought him water at room temperature.
She sat in the shade watching a group of people have physical education class, then twisted open her milk and took a sip.
Physical education class ended.
William walked over to Ellie, took off his school uniform, and handed it to Ellie, saying, "Hold this for me, Little Teacher."
Ellie obediently replied, "Okay."
It seemed that watching William play ball and waiting for him to come out to give him water had become a habit for Ellie.
Aria went to comfort a friend who was crying.
"Hey, do you want candy?" Sarah took out a lollipop from her pocket and handed it to Ellie.
Ellie took it and said, "Thank you."
Sarah stood next to her, looking at the boys playing basketball, and said, "I've noticed you've been getting along with William quite well recently."
Ellie thought of the previous rumors, Sarah seemed to like William. She licked her lips, not knowing how to answer this question.
Sarah put her arm around her shoulder and whispered, "Actually, I think you two match well."
"Ah?"
Ellie was taken aback by her words.
Were all the previous rumors false?
Sarah looked at her dazed expression, reached out and pinched her face, and said, "Why this expression? Scared you? Good student."
Ellie shook her head, "No."
Her face was soft and smooth, it felt really good to pinch.
Thinking this, Sarah pinched a few more times.
She said, "Do you know I like William, so it feels strange to hear me say this?"
Ellie nodded earnestly.
Sarah laughed and said, "I like handsome guys, especially the ones I can't get."
Ellie's expression was still a bit dazed.
"Or rather, I like those handsome guys I can't get," Sarah put the lollipop in her mouth, then smiled at Ellie and said, "I might be a bit strange, the people I like can't like me back, otherwise, I wouldn't like them anymore. Does that make me a bit of a jerk?"
Ellie shook her head, "No, this kind of psychology is normal, it's called having a crush, but you're not a jerk, you haven't done anything."
Sarah smiled upon hearing this and said, "You're really cute."
This was her sincere comment.
Previously, she always felt that saying something would collapse her image, but she thought Ellie was really cute.
And incredibly well-behaved.

She used to think that saying something would collapse her image, but she found Ellie genuinely cute.
And incredibly well-behaved.
Sarah saw William leave the court, nudged Ellie, and said, "He's out, I'm off."
