Chapter 68 - Chapter68. Wait for My Good News

The sports meeting officially began.

Ellie and other logistics members of her class were watching the competition in a small shed on the playground.

Hayes asked, "Ellie, can't you do strenuous exercise?"

Ellie responded with a "Hmm," and then said, "The doctor doesn't allow me to exercise."

Hayes insisted on asking to the end, "What illness is it? Why can't you exercise? Are you very unwell?"

"Congenital heart disease."

"I really envy you, you don't have to attend PE classes usually, and you're spared a lot of trouble during the sports meeting."

Ellie didn't speak, just quietly watching those people sweating on the playground.

There was nothing to envy.

She didn't even have the qualification for strenuous exercise.

Aria, hearing this, was a bit angry. She said, "What are you envious of? Is health more important or resting during PE classes? Ellie can't exercise because she's unwell, and I wish she was well."

Hayes' face turned a bit ugly upon hearing this, and she said, "I just expressed envy, why are you so excited? Ellie hasn't said anything yet."

"It matters. If you haven't experienced someone else's feelings and pain, don't say such things," Aria's words left Hayes speechless.

Ellie twisted open a bottle of water on the table and handed it over, saying, "Have some water." She then reached out her soft hand to rub Aria's head, and whispered, "It's okay, I don't mind."

Aria hugged her and said, "Ellie is really my little angel."

...

In the afternoon.

Aria fastened a number plate on Lucas and said, "Come on, Lucas, bring back a first place this time too."

Although Lucas' grades are not very good, he is particularly good at sports.

He said to Aria, "Haha, I hope so."

Lucas was running a 1,000-meter race. He was bumped in the first lap and fell behind.

Aria's heart was about to jump out of her chest with anxiety. Seeing that he didn't fall, she breathed a sigh of relief and said to Ellie, "There might be some accidents this time."

Ellie looked at Lucas on the track and said, "It doesn't seem certain."

Aria called out to several other girls in the logistics department of her class, "Let's cheer together."

There were many people from Class 17 cheering as well.

Lucas heard the cheers from his class and felt like his feet were about to take off. He overtook two people in the second lap.

In the last half lap of the second lap, he overtook the last person and began to exert himself.

Lucas pulled away from the others and suddenly stopped, wiggling his butt at those behind him with a smug expression. As he saw them rushing over, he sprinted towards the finish line.

Everyone was amused by Lucas' sudden move.

A Chinese teacher asked Miss Clark, "This boy is from your class, right?"

Miss Clark: Can I say no? It's a bit embarrassing. Is it too late to deny it now?

"Yes, he is from our class."

"Haha, this kid is quite interesting. If he were in our class, the atmosphere would be great."

Miss Clark laughed upon hearing this: "That's true."

Landon is quite popular in No. 17 Middle School.

Because he is gentle, polite, has good grades, and is good-looking.

For girls he doesn't like, he will also refuse gently and will never make them lose face.

He is running in the second group of the 3,000-meter race.

The first place in the first group is an athlete, tall and strong.

The second group competition has not started yet.

Blake pinned the number plate for him and said, "I don't have much to say, just bring back a first place."

Landon "hummed" and then suddenly saw Ellie's figure on the green grass of the playground.

William was holding a number plate and walked up to Ellie. He said, "Can you do me a favor? Little prude."

Ellie nodded: "Sure." She looked at the number plate in William's hand and said, "Is it to pin this for you?"

"Yes," William said, then took off his coat and said, "Hold my coat for me."

Ellie held his coat in her arms and watched William slightly lower his body. She pinned the number plate for him and saw the number seventeen on his body. She whispered, "Done."

William touched it from behind and said, "Thanks, little prude."

Landon saw the two figures close to each other on the playground, and it seemed that the boy was laughing, and she was laughing too.

He quickly withdrew his gaze and went to the field.

It's not necessarily a liked boy.

Maybe they are just classmates.

As expected, Landon got the first place in the second group.

The girls from No. 17 Middle School and No. 6 Middle School cheered loudly.

Aria couldn't help but shout.

A girl next to her reminded her, "He is from the rival school, not ours."

Aria: "But he is handsome."

The third group is about to start preparing.

"William."

William heard her voice and said, "What?"

"Come on."

William smiled upon hearing this and said, "I promised to bring you a first place, wait for my good news, little prude."

Ellie was still holding his clothes in her arms, looking very obedient. She said, "Okay."

William went to the track.

"Classmate, have a bottle of water."

"Thank you, no need."

Landon refused everyone's water and went straight to the shed under Class 17.

Aria was talking to Ellie when she heard a male voice: "Can I have a bottle of water?"

Ellie saw the familiar face and was a bit stunned.

Aria was quick to react, grabbing a bottle of water and shoving it into Ellie's hand.

Ellie handed the water in her hand.

Landon said, "Thank you." He drank some water and then said, "You look very nice in the white dress today."

"Thank you."

Landon didn't know what to say again.

Facing those pure eyes, he felt that any bad thoughts were a desecration to her.

Aria said, "You are from No. 17 Middle School, right? You just ran the first place, really impressive."

Landon smiled and said, "Thank you." He looked at Ellie and said, "It might be a bit presumptuous, but may I ask for your name?"

"Ellie."

Landon smiled upon hearing this, raised the water in his hand, and said, "Thank you for the water, classmate, see you next time if we have the chance."

Ellie said, "You're welcome," and then said, "Yes, see you next time if we have the chance."

The competition hasn't started yet, and William wanted to see what little prude was doing. However, he saw the boy who had approached her today.

He saw Ellie talking to that boy with her head raised.

The distance was too far, and he didn't know what they were talking about.

For some reason, he felt a sense of irritability in his heart.
