Vivian's face was brightened as he told her this. It was the first time in her life that someone had ever said such to her.
"I-I r-really appreciate what you did for me earlier. It was very special to me" Vivian uttered with a bright smile on her face. "It was the first time that someone had ever said such words to me."
Ken looked at her with a bright face, he knew that she was already giving in, so he had to add something to push her out more.
The plan he had, was to complete his mission.
And to do so, he had to make sure she tells him everything about her and what exactly made her have such a scared expression after the incident.
"I am honored." Ken responded with a smile. "By the way why were you so scared all of a sudden earlier. Did something happen to you in the past?" He just had to say it.
Ken knew that he wasn't supposed to pry too much in her business, but he was not ready to let this chance slip him. If there was any better time to ask her about such, now was that time.
As he asked the question, Vivian bent her face down with a frown . Seeing this expression on her face, Ken is now certain that something ugly really did happen in her past, and now he was about to hear it.
"W-Well it's not-nothing really happened." Vivian has an expression on her face, which signifies that she was hiding something.
And Ken knew this. 'She is lying, I am guessing it will not be easy for her to reveal whatever happened. But I can't give up. Not yet. I must make sure to complete this mission'
Looking at the cyan screen in front of him. He saw the time remaining for the mission to be completed.

Ken was still new to all this about the system. The money in which the system was going to reward him, was too good to be true. And he was curious to see how it was actually going to play out.
If it was true then he was going to be rich. However, if it wasn't, then— Well he will just go back to his normal life. Although that was not the case, he had to see it through to the end.
Ken looked at Vivian, as he saw the fear in her eyes. It looked as if, if she was to reveal anything to him she might get hurt, but that wasn't his business. Was it?
"Come on, you can tell me. Although we just met, it is alright. Nothing is going to happen to you. It will be our little secret." Ken put in his effort to say this to her. Although he knew not to push too much, as if he had done it, it might have just ruined any chance he has to know about her past.
Hearing, Vivian felt an emotion of relief flowing through her body. It felt like she could just trust him, even knowing that they just met each other not too long.
'I think it will not actually hurt if I tell… right' Vivian thought, as she raised her head to look at Ken's face.
'He doesn't seem to be lying. I think he genuinely meant what he said. He might just-' Ken brought her back into reality by saying "Hello… Earth to Vivi!" Ken exclaimed.
"Huh" Vivian muttered. 'Did he just call me Vivi?' Vivian chuckled softly, as the name Vivi sank into her heart.
She was pleased that Ken had thought of her so beautifully to be able to call her such a name. And that was when it hit her.
She knew that she didn't have anything to hide from her. This was the moment for her to tell him about her past.
Ken was waiting for her to tell him about her past. While he was waiting and wondering what he was thinking, the cyan screen appeared in front of him once more with the information.

Ken felt the urge to try and convince her more. If the system was a reading hee mind, then he might actually have a chance.
'No wonder it is called the guarantee system. It will be easier for him if I can tell what the person is actually thinking.'
Ken looked at Vivian with a straight face. But he had a little smile attached to it.
And with a low tone he said to her as he reached close to her. "Hey… I think if you don't really want to say anything,. that's okay. I won't force you."
It might have looked like he was not going to stress it anymore by telling her such. However, this was a more strategic statement.
He made it look like he was not truly interested in hearing her anymore. Which would actually make her be forced to him.
Because he knew that he had established himself as a caring person to her, and she wouldn't let such a person pass by.
'I think I should tell him now' Vivan muttered in her thoughts. 'If I let him go without saying anything, I might just lose him. That's not something I want.'
"U-Um… T-The real reason why I was like that, was actually because of something that occurred when I was much younger." Vivian began.
"However, it is an unpleasant story and I'm not too sure you would like it so much" With a depressed expression, she uttered these words to him while staring deep into his eyes.
However, Ken was going to back down. "It doesn't really matter. Whatever happened when you were younger, I want to hear it all. It doesn't matter how dark or sad it was. I will take everything within me."
Ken was straight forward with his words, and there was no negativity in it. It was pure and simple, but sharp.
Hearing this, Vivian gave him a bright smile as she planned on telling him everything. 'I think I might just give him everything.'
