Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Shopping

Ken prepared himself to go to the store.

He was very tired from all the stress he had gone through the past few days. And the most of all, was the coition he had with Vivian.

He wore a casual red top and a black shorts with a palm on his feet.

He took his younger sister, Nicole and headed to the market.

More like the store.

In the city of WestView, there were not many markets. Everything that a person will need was in a convenience store.

The store was just two blocks from Ken's houses. So he was able to use his leg to get there.

Nicole held his hand while they walked the streets. She sang songs that she was thought in her class.

Ken took his younger sister, because he wanted her to experience this act of buying things.

He could have easily gone with his Estela, however that would mean there wouldn't be any to watch the twins at home.

Since their parents were no longer around, it was called for a change of setting.

Ken arrived at the store, after twenty-five minutes of walking.

It was a large building, which sold everything that a family would want to buy for their restock.

Ken and Nicole entered the store, and Nicole opened her mouth in surprise. It was a busy place and a lot of people were there shopping.

The scenery was amazing to the little girl, and she thought it was fun to be there. It was her first time ever being to the stock market store, so she was more amazed.

Ken was also surprised to see all these people there. Although, it wasn't like Nicolas surprise. He couldn't have guessed there would have been a lot of people shopping, since, it was a monday evening.

He then walked up to a lady, who was seated at the back of a tied table.

"Uh-um… excuse me," He greeted, as he gestured.

"Oh… Good Evening," The lady greeted. "What can I do for you Mister?" She asked. Her voice sounded soft and calm.

"Yes!" Ken exclaimed. "Why is this place this full, when it is still Monday evening. If I recall, these many people, can only be seen on the weekends."

The lady smiled and nodded before responding.

"Yes, you see, the store was supposed to have restocked the items during the end of last week, however, the people who were supposed to deliver during the weekend, had an accident on their way. So the goods didn't arrive, until early this afternoon, around noon."

The lady explained vividly, making sure she was clear.

"Even still…" Ken replied. "…This many people shouldn't be here by this time, how could they have known that the goods were going to arrive. I mean it hasn't even been up to five hours."

Ken was serious as he spoke. It was definitely clear that this wasn't normal.

"Yes I get what you mean… Sir." The lady responded, as she nodded her head in agreement.

"Well you see, there was a notice that was placed at the entrance of the door. It was there to indicate that the goods had arrived."

Ken was about to cut her shut and speak more, but the lady didn't let him. She knew exactly what he wanted to say.

"And also I know, it is still not possible for the many people to show up because it couldn't have been everyone who would see the sign. However, we have our stores' name across all social media. And for the past few weeks we have gotten a good amount of followers. And it was there that we were able to reach out to more of our customers."

The lady concluded after giving him a lot.

"Oh… that makes sense," Ken said, while he placed his hand on his chin.

"But how come I didn't know about this. Up until now, I have always come this store, but I haven't seen anything relating to a social media account."

And the lady replied him. "Well the account was created at the end of the previous month."

"Ohhh!…" Ken exclaimed.

He now understood why he never knew about it. It was because he hadn't been to the store the beginning of the month. Since his parents hadn't sent any money to him.

"Okay… Thank you very much," He appreciated.

"It is my pleasure." The lady responded.

After that, Ken and his Nicole went to get all they were to buy.

At Vivian's home, she had already started her day, as she was seated on the couch in her bedroom.

She still couldn't get Ken out of her head. Through out the whole day, she has been thinking of him.

Although, she couldn't be blamed. He took her virginity, and that was one action that when occured in a lady's life, she couldn't forget.

In many scenarios, the lady could forget the place, the time, or the year it happened in their life, however, the man.

That man that took their virginity can't be someone they could ever forget.

And in Vivian's case, it was still fresh to her. So her thoughts were clouded.

She thought about calling him a few times, but she couldn't. Her feelings of embarrassment couldn't let her.

"Why hasn't he called me yet," She uttered, in a concerned tone. "…Or has he forgotten me?"

Although, among all that thinking and worrying, the thing that gave her the most troublesome was her heart.

"But still, what is my heart hurting so bad?" She questioned. "…This is the first time I am feeling this way. And every time I close my eyes, all I can think about is Ken."

Vivian held her phone with both hands, as she fell with one side of her body on the couch.

"This feeling, is it… Love?"

Back at Ken and his little sister. They had already finished taking all their were meant to buy.

It was all displayed on the list that Estela handed to Ken before they left their home.

They both finished, and Ken went to make the payment.

Meeting that same lady, he talked to when his first entered the store.

He removed all the items from the trolley basket, which they used to hold all their items, and placed them on the check out table.

The lady smiled at both of them, and calculated all they had bought.

"You bill is one thousand, three hundred and fifty-five, dollars." The lady proclaimed.

Ken quickly brought out his credit card and handed it to the lady. The lady collected the card and swiped it down the device. And to her surprise, the payment was successful.

She had a shocking expression on her face. It couldn't be believable that a guy like him was also to pay such amount of money for food stuffs.

The lady gulped and returned the card back to Ken. And after, she packed everything into various bags and handed it to him.

Ken collected them all and place them back into the trolley basket and the pushed it outside, with Nicole assist.

"Thank you, you are welcome to come again!" The lady exclaimed as they left the store.
