I stayed on my bed lying flat on my stomach listening to every bitter word that came out of my father's mouth directed at me, like how I was useless and wasn't important to his mafia and if he gets the slightest opportunity to marry me off he would do it without thinking twice. He told my mother that she had spoiled me too much and my little sister Lilly was much better than me, that's why he likes her more. His words stung hard and I felt pain but remained silent so as not to add diesel to the already raging volcano. I was caught off guard when a pair of cold hands picked me up and judging by the smoky and irritable whiskey smell I knew it was my father. He looked me deep in the eyes and said "don't you ever forget how I hate you and always wish to get rid of you because you are truly useless"and with that he roughly threw me to the floor and left. After I was sure he was gone I broke down and began crying uncontrollably. My mother helped me back to bed and sat beside me trying to comfort me but it was no use. The tears couldn't stop flowing no matter how hard I tried. Although I should have been used to the way he treated me but I was not I still broke down and cried every time he insults me and I would always promise that the next won't affect me but it always did and I hated myself that I still hungrily craved his attention and approval. After what felt like an eternity of me crying and my mom comforting me I eventually drifted off. 

 I groaned and tried to look for my phone and saw it was now 7pm. I quickly sat Upright staring at my phone in shock,I thought to myself how did I sleep for this long. I only remembered it was 2pm so I apparently slept for 5 hours and no one disturbed me, not even my grumpy dad "wow something was definitely not right". But my train of thoughts was interrupted when I heard a familiar knock. I immediately knew who it was, I answered "come in" with an all knowing tone. And there she was in her might and all the One and only Albert Lilly Wilson my Little sister which in many cases she was treated like she's the eldest though I didn't ever mind. She made her way and sat beside me with her right hand on my left shoulder and I cleared my throat for her to speak and when she didn't I spoke "so what brings you here am I in trouble or are you here to tease me". Still no answer she only looked at me with a familiar pitiful look and tears threatening to spill from her pupils and then it hit me something bad was going to happen to me and she couldn't help me. I sat there dumbfounded my head began spinning I had a lot of questions but I knew she wouldn't answer me but I decided to ask anyway but before I could speak she finally spoke "dad wants to see you in his study right now"her voice low and soft and with that she stood up patted me on the back gently and left. I became Even more puzzled What was happening but I decided to quickly shower and go because my dad hates late comers. After I finished showering in less than 5 minutes I got dressed in a black long sleeved tank top with black baggy cargo Jeans. I put my hair up in a bun and was feeling quite confident then I made my way to the second floor. I felt fear gripping me with each approaching step I took towards My father's office and I felt my insides turning soft. It didn't take long for me to reach because his office was on the second floor and was the only door across the hallway and the one facing it was the master bedroom. Once I arrived I stopped short and I began shivering from Fear I gently knocked and waited for an answer and after some seconds he spoke "in" and I made my way inside carefully and took a seat opposite his desk and chair. It had not been a minute and I started feeling irritated and my insides began turning and I wanted to throw up due to the strong smell of whiskey and other alcohol I didn't know and smoke. I then looked into his dark Brown pupils and tried not to Sound irritated and with my sweetest voice I said "Father you called for me". It took some seconds before he spoke "why are you dressed like a demon or a slut" before I could answer he stood up and began walking around and continued "as you know I am becoming old and I don't Have an heir to take over" I felt hurt because he had two children but just spoke as if he was childless. He continued " let me get straight to the point I am forming an alliance with the Italian Mafia and you are the agreement " i was soo confused when he finished and it ew he saw it clearly on my face. He then spoke again " you and your sister are getting married to the Salvatore family ,your sister is getting married to Hugo Kassius the underboss and you Salvatore Leandro Saint the Don". "And if you cause trouble he will do well in keeping behaved" the way he said it sent shivers down my spine. And i knew from then that i am doomed and will pay if i act rashily or try to escape i just simply said "ok i will keep it in mind" while not daring to look into his pupils. I felt his gaze at me intently but didn't dared to say anybut I was fuming beyond words .
