Hours after Lu Zhen had left, eight figures stood exactly one kilometer away from where Lu Zhen previously stood. Lu Zhen's location was treated as a danger zone, this was the only evidence there was that indicated that something really did happen.
The eight figures felt that it would be courting death if they even took one step inside this boundary. These eight figures were split into two groups, four on each side and they looked like they had enmity with each other.
They even stood tens of meters apart. " Wu Zhong, I don't remember inviting you to the Forest Of Beasts. Please leave. " coldly said the old man. Although he was old with grey hair and a wrinkled face, he looked vigorous and energetic. The only problem was that he had two huge elephant ears and was three meters tall.
In fact, all the people in the old man's group had some animal-like body parts whether it was their skin, ears, eyes, tails or even their bodies. They were Humanoid beasts which were tasked to investigate what that lion silhouette was and who or what was responsible for releasing it.
"Same reason as you Ma Yi. We're here to investigate the cause of that terrifying power." said Wu Zhong softly. He looked like a middle aged man in his thirties. His every move filled with elegance and purpose, his every move was simply soul stirring. He was already in the peak of Soul Purification Realm.
"Nonsense!" shouted Ma Yi. He knew exactly what the humans were doing here, they knew that beasts and humans agreed that they wouldn't interfere in the younger generations business.
The talented youngsters of humans could increase their battle experience in this forest but couldn't be blamed if they were also killed, meaning both beast and human were hunting each other without their elders butting their heads in. But now that a terrifying figure had appeared and most likely belonged to the beasts, it wouldn't be long until war broke out.
Wu Zhong judged the situation and seeing that the beasts had also sent their personnel to investigate meant that they also hadn't found that expert and didn't know who it was. It would now be a race as to who finds that expert first.
If the humans found him first, they'd use everything to kill him or her but if it was the beasts, they'd do their best to satisfy all his needs. They searched for a while but couldn't find any clues and humans chose to leave. The beasts searched for a while longer but still couldn't find anything but just as they were about to leave, they saw the paw prints of the ten Sentient beasts.
At first, they didn't think much of it but they realised that three beasts survived because the other seven didn't have paw prints of them returning. "Find them!" shouted Ma Yi.
...
By the time Lu Zhen got back to the Lu family quarters, it was already late so he went to his chambers to get some rest. The sun quickly rose, indicating a new day.
A young man who was the same age as Lu Zhen entered Lu Zhen's chambers with a basin and a towel. "Young master, wake up."said the young man. Lu Zhen woke up, the youngster waited patiently as he stood to the side but after seeing Lu Zhen's appearance, he almost fainted. "Wh...Who are you!?" the youngster anxiously asked as he didn't know who the person in front of him was.
"Xiaojian! Have you lost your mind?" asked Lu Zhen. The Supreme White Lion had already accepted its new identity and planned to continue living as Lu Zhen thus he acted exactly like the previous Lu Zhen did plus he had all of his memories.
"If I'm not your young master then who is?" he asked casually. "I know my young master and it's definitely not you. He has ordinary looks and was crippled so who are you?!" asked Xiaojia. Lu Zhen saw the problem and lied to Xiaojian saying that he encountered an opportunity that changed his life and Xiaojian believed him after a long time.
"Xiaojian. Go prepare for me some..." Lu Zhen suddenly stopped talking as he looked at Xiaojian. His eyes glowing in a silver lustre. The more he looked at Xiaojian, the more frustrated he became.
"Xiaojian, who is responsible for choosing servants in this household?" asked Lu Zhen in an annoyed manner. Of course Xiaojian didn't notice Lu Zhen's frustrated look as he quickly replied "Elder Wang."
"Elder Wang? How dare he! Summon Elder Wang right now. And tell him to meet me in the Main Hall." Lu Zhen ordered.
Seeing how angry Lu Zhen was, Xiaojian ran off to summon Elder Wang. Lu Zhen left for the Main Hall. He wondered to himself as to when his master was this commanding and domineering, he also wondered why he was so angry.
…
When Elder Wang heard that he was being summoned by that crippled Lu Zhen, he couldn't help but sneer in his heart but still went there. Although Lu Zhen had lost much of his status, he was still the young master of the Lu family and still held some power. 'That damn cripple dares to summon me, I'll give him a piece of my mind.' thought Elder Wang. He reached the hall after fifteen minutes of walking and once inside, he was shocked to the extreme.
A young man was seated on the Patriarch's seat and exuded an indomitable aura that was suffocating. It was so powerful that it made it hard to breathe. Elder Wang fell to his knees when he saw the young man looking at him and he didn't dare look at Lu Zhen straight in the eye. He felt Lu Zhen's cold gaze on him and all his hairs stood on end, his back was drenched in sweat. A cold and deep voice sounded in Elder Wang's ears.
"Elder Wang, you have harmed this family, DO YOU ADMIT YOUR MISTAKE?!"
